I have never seen all these different types of animals so closely. And they are very, very... 🦩🦜🐫🦅... Very clean and well maintained. It can also be used as a Park and recreation area. Food in a small and larger bistro, also an option of locally prepared food. Coffee, ice cream for different tastes. Super fun great for kids and adults.🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️ I recommend for lovers of all this. ❤️❤️

Ich war zum ersten Mal dort und war begeistert. Viele tolle und schöne Tiere. Alles gut gepflegt. Tolle Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kids. Man konnte mit einem MA des Parks sogar Papageien und Wellensittiche selbst auf die Hand nehmen. Wir haben die Fütterung der Tiere mit gemacht. Die Kids waren begeistert und es war kostenlos. Wir waren an einem Sonntag da und kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder!
Tierpark was maybe one of the best zoos i’ve ever visited. There was a huge range of animals there, considering it was the largest zoo in Europe. There were panda’s, giraffes, deer, flamingos, etc, and almost every different continent in a it’s own pocket shaped area of the zoo. Food was nice at the restaurant (Marche Mövenpick) albeit a bit pricy. However you do get free unlimited sauce! Really good experience 10/10

Visited Sunday when many places in Germany are closed. Easy walking distance of the centre (just walk up the river for ease). Reasonably priced, not huge, but good selection of animals including small aquarium and very well laid out. I particularly liked how the locals stick to the main route and direction so not fighting against the foot traffic. Signs perhaps a little lacking in English but is a German zoo.
Richtig schön, dass man sich das Becken auch von unten ansehen kann.
Ein schöner Tierpark,um einfach mal ab zu schalten. Bei den Papageien ist es sehr schön,da man sie auch selber auf den Arm nehmen darf ( mein Papagei war übrigens sehr verschmust gewesen ).Auch schön,das man bei den Wellis rein darf. Nur sollten manche Eltern bitte ihre Kinder davon abhalten,die Wellis zu fangen. Hat was mit Anstand und Respekt zu tun! Viele schöne Vogelarten da. Bin bald wieder bei euch👍👍👍

I deeply appreciate your creation of place for humans and animals to interact. My time spent with piglets and donkeys will stay in my mind as a beautiful memory for years to come. I have to say though that the environment in which the magnificent parrots live have a lot of space for improvement. The cages seem very tiny and restictive for the wellbeing of the birds and they seem to be quite far from living convinient life. I do believe that if the bird space was made siginificantly bigger the space could serve its purpose in a human way.

Well maintained zoo must visit place with kids. A full day place. Seal live show and animal’s food feeding time will be a best watch. This is one of oldest zoo has a big play area, restaurants. Read this article :A big rain of money for Kölner zoo from Americans.

They provide free lockers to store your things in and have a range of animals that you can interact lively with as well as a large tank. The atmosphere is beautiful and during the weekdays it is not busy at all.

Good but expensive. You have to pay for kids more than 1 years old...
Nice place to bring kids 4 up, we were with our 1.5 year old could not do much unfortunately but atleast he saw some animals. Food quite mediocre. Entrance fee is 10 per adult 9 for children and no card payment/ EC. Plenty of free parking.
Der Grugapark ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Das Parkleuchten in diesem Jahr war noch ein bisschen besser und vielseitiger als im vergangenen Jahr. Wir waren mit 12 bis 82 jährigen unterwegs, es hat allen gefallen. Der Eintritt ist für Erwachsene, besonders für Rentner, nicht gerade günstig mit 9,-€, der Preis für Kinder ist mit 3,50€ OK. Essen und Trinken sind auch ziemlich teuer, 4,-€ für ein dünnes Bratwürstchen sind schon heftig.
It was really cool. Only con is most of the animals were staying in their houses because of the rain but except this was a perfect experience.
The first 1/3 of the trip was reptiles/insects/tropical animals and the like. Not really fish- related.
Once the actual "under water" experience started, it was quite nice, huge windows, fish had lots of space to swim around. Last part is amazing.
Downside is that it was quite short. If you are not interested in the non-fish"part, then the tour might take 30 min.

A must visit while in cologne. Totally kids friendly. Very spacious and easy to walk around! Love it 🥰
This is one of the two Zoos in Berlin . It’s much bigger as a space than the other one ( Tiergarten ) though it’s not that well known or crowded like the other one . The experience is very different it’s more like a park than like a zoo it has a lot of animals ( but the other one has more ) . It’s a little bit scary in the winter when the sun is not shining if you are there alone and no one is around . The Dinosaur Park ( it is there for a limited time ) is really nice but not up to our expectations. The giraffe house is more than amazing and the Himalaya is also a very nice walk … it takes around 4 to 5 hours to walk through the whole park and see all the animals ( with kids ) .
Wir fanden es sehr schön dort. Es gibt viel zu sehen, begehbare Volieren, ausreichend Spielplätze für Kinder und mehrere Möglichkeiten sich mit Essen und Trinken zu versorgen. Der Park befindet sich am Berg, somit geht es viel bergauf/bergab, für den ein oder anderen sicherlich wissenswert.
Nice place to visit with the kids. It has loads of things to do for the children outside, you can also walk in the woods, and if it rains, there is a massive indoor playground.
It is difficult to clearly evaluate a visit to this Zoo. On the one hand, it is large, but on the other it seems empty in terms of development. On the one hand, there are beautifully decorated "jungles" in several buildings, on the other hand, the outside area itself is rather gray and ugly. For part of the visit you seem to see more plastic animals than real ones, and for the next part you see animals in much greater numbers than in other Zoos. For example, a huge number of Elephants and various monkeys. In many places there is practically no visibility, but there are places where animals seem literally within reach. And this Zoo is full of such unequal aspects. The price also seems to be a bit high compared to what other zoos in the area offer, with cheaper tickets. Overall, it is worth a visit here, but there are definitely better options within 60 km.
We went here during Christmas market and the decorations were amazing. Few places the lightings were stunning. Inside there was also a small Christmas market however it was very crowded so we dint go there but it looked pretty. We had Currywurst in one of the cafes which was great. I would say it was a bit expensive as the entry price was 28 euros.

Great zoo tons to see. They have season theme Xmas light and decor which is lovely. The room with the monkeys among you actually are in there with them! Worth going.
Fantastic family and pet-friendly spot! Spacious and larger than the city center zoo, easily accessible via U-Bahn and bus. A convenient location. Plan for at least 4 hours; arriving late might cut your experience short. Abundant grass areas provide extra space for leisure with kids or friends.
The park boasts 4-5 restaurants serving food after enjoying the cute and interesting animals. Kids will love the added fun with ice cream shops. Overall, an amazing place for family leisure and relaxation!

It was abit unplecent experience. First, the people in the ticket booth was unplecant. We visited in november, and very few animals was in their enclosure, so we had to walk long distances between empty enclosures. When they anounced the closure for the day, we proceeded towards the exit. On the way, apperently we didn't walk fast enough, so employees threten us with fines for not reacing the exit fast enough, even though we moved as fast as walking with todelers and stroler alow. Overall, the experience we had was not worth the entrance fee.

Visited the aquarium for my birthday celebration weekend and without a fail it really impressed us . Have been to many many aquariums from London to San Diego , from Asia to Europe 😂 but this is the best by far!!! Definitely come back again in the summer and will not shut up about it to all friends and fam !!! Love it thank you Germany !!! Vorsprung durch Technik for sure !!!! 😹😹🤪🤪❤️❤️❤️
It’s great that this exists, kids can see the animals close by. There are goats, donkeys, parrots, ducks, pigs, pony.

First the smaller toddlers will immediately get attracted to the small cars and bicycles which many are broken and they get frustrated that they don’t work. Not to mention the lots of dust right where these are, which is not pleasant at all.
The toilets are somewhat clean, but smell pretty bad.

I was pleasantly surprised by the zoo. I especially enjoyed the areas where animals are free roaming, I had small monkeys jumping around me, and could get really close to some of the birds. Watch out for animal feeding times and the bird show. Buy tickets online before entry, the queue was long when we were leaving.
You can have up to 5 people for 80 euros in an area where you can feed the giraffe. The zoo keeper was so incredibly knowledgeable about every giraffe and it was a great pleasure to feed treats to these magnificent animals. Highly recommended
It is one of the most beautiful zoos I have visited, but there is information in the Deutch language only, and when I visited the leopard place, I felt so scared 🙀 it looked like there was not enough protection.
It’s a really nice place for family and pets. It has bigger and more space compared with the zoo in city center!!! Can reach there through U-Bahn and bus, it’s really convenient. Worth for at least 4 hours visiting, so don’t get there too late. Lots of grass area offer you more space and green for leisure with kids or friends.

It was great my daughter had a lot of fun. The prices of the restaurant are also very good.
But they should have someone cleaning the toilets and changing room during visiting hours

Nice forest and nature. Very kids friendly. We had nice day with kids there and good viewpoint. Just a bit pricey for entrance and food,and the food there are not healthy. So i don’t recommend to eat there. There has a nice huge indoor playground,just a bit freezing with out heating in 0 degree. If kids want play there please wear extra warm!!! Adults tooo
Great place for children up to 10 years old to stay even the whole day long. You’re going to have a nice walk and there are various places where you can stop picnic and find the games and playing space for children. There is also a huge playground inside the building where adults can have a rest white children are playing
Really amazing place for kids. Lot of birds 🐦 and goats 🐐. Kids love giving 50cent food to goats. Lot of cycles for kids to try and small sand playground as well which is full of sand toys. So no need to bring sand toys with you.
Easily spend a full day in the park with the kids. Lot of shades as well, so even hot weather you won’t feel cold under trees 🌳.

A lot of animals, including wild, semi-domesticated and domesticated as well. A lot of them let you touch them, but don’t be surprised: not all of them. These are living creatures, with their mood. It’s a good idea to buy some snacks for the animals, but be aware of the signs: not all of them are allowed to eat! It’s important for the animals’ health.
There are playgrounds for the kids.
They also have a buffet, good for a quick bite or drink something at the end of your walk. There is also a huge place for grill.
Dogs are. allowed but must be leashed!

Small but very nice zoo. Well decorated with a lot of places to sit and have a snack. Free bobcars on entrance, playground, restaurant. Ideal for a daily trip with 5 yo kids
Great petting zoo. Lots of animals well cared. On a Saturday morning it was crowned, but overall social distancing was kept. Lots of children were petting and feeding the animals. An added bonus is the palygroudn and all the toys for children.

First, place is cash-only and bring indoor shoes for the indoor playground. Best seasons to visit are probably spring and Autumn. Summer can get super hot and in winter the indoor playground is not heated. Ideal age is probably kids up to 12 yo.

Lovely place to spend a day with kids. There are so many animals in the farm. There are fun rides even fir adults. A nice restaurant inside. There is a indoor playground as well for odd weather days. You can also bring your own food and spend a good picnic day. Ample parking space is available. I woukd highly recommed the place for families with children.
Super endroit pour aller en familles. Il y a de nombreuse activités et les prix sont très abordable...
Der Vogelpark Heiligenkirchen ist gerade für Familien mit kleinen Kindern echt sehr gut geeignet. Die große Voliere mit wirklich einigen kleinvögeln zum Füttern begeistert die kl. min genauso wie der sehr gut Strukturierte Spielplatz.
