The Dom in Trier is definitely worth a visit.
Peaceful and quiet museum. Don’t find much oversea visitor, mostly parents with kids. This is a good place to teach sculpture appreciation to children.

The season we visit is just blooming. Can find different sizes of daffodils in the garden.

Many beautiful sculptures displayed in this museum can spend at least half day there. Also few more museums along the river band. Staffs are super friendly and helpful.
Hidden gem! If you want to find out more about the first cathedral built in the fourth century AD, have a look - and much more to discover about the development of Christianity later
I learned so much about cargo ships. This is a huge ship and you can go most places (the engine room was at least 3 floors and you could also see most of the main shaft up to the propeller). I saw and learned more here than Rickmers Rickmers which is also close by.
What a fantastic collection of amazing museums all in one place. I've been here multiple times in my life, but never known it as a UNESCO area, and so it should be. In addition to the amazing collections, the area itself is beautiful any time of the year.
Beautiful old town hall right by the Marienplatz - it's a white gothic styled building connected to a clock tower. There's several of openings to walk through. The town hall itself is a museum with some very interesting things inside.
An extremely interesting museum located a few steps from the famous Städel. They were running the Machine Room of the Gods exhibition during my visit, an awesome interactive exhibition of ancient to medieval inventions and scientific knowledge.
Important info about tickets: the Städel museum ticket does include the ticket to Liebieghaus, so it makes sense to visit Städel first, and then go to Liebieghaus the same day.
Great and interesting painting but I was very annoyed that the museum was promoted as a museum where you can see Van Gogh, Monet, Degas but there where only one piece for each one of them and it was full of other artists (whose art was interesting nonetheless).
It's a very interesting museum. I learnt a lot, even about the destruction of the old city in order to build the Speicherstadt.
If you want to learn about Hamburg's role in the Hanseatic commerce come here, not to the International Maritime Museum (which is a freaky display of models and objects).
The museum also take into account the working conditions of people in the Speicherstadt. This social perspective is something that should be positively valued in this kind of cultural infrastructures.
At the same time, it is difficult to follow the English explanations on the tablet because the numerical symbols in the exhibition are not forwardly clear.
Very nice small museum dedicated to toys. Great for all ages. Entrance is right off of the main Marienplatz square and as you get higher in the museum, you have some great views of the surrounding areas.

The museum is located in a tower with several floors filled with displays of toys. You can either walk up a narrow, winding staircase or take a small elevator.

The Entrance fee was 6 euros for adults. I spent almost an hour looking at the various displays with most of them having English information along with the German information. There is a small souvenir shop on the ground level.

The toy displays cover a number of different toy types. They mainly included European and some American toy makers. They had train sets, Teddy bears, and numerous dolls including a whole display featuring Barbie dolls.

Very nice and worth a visit with or without kids.
Wow! What a sight to behold! This building is Amazing! We went to the Greek museum, interesting artefacts, so beautifully preserved/presented. The staff members were, very pleasant, helpful, especially when I said I was just learning German, very patient. One gentleman in particular he was attending outside- herr Kreuze? I think his name was, he was very chatty, speaking to us in.both English and German. Loved this place! Thank you so much! Highly recommended!
DANKE
Yes very nice
Great ship, and museum. Loved the ocean room experience.

You will see some interesting things. It was small, not that big. And if you are patient enough to read the guidance, you will like it. We learned sth by visiting this small museum. :))

Very interesting place. You can see several medevial houses, ancient tools, pottery, play medevial games and sit by the fire. Also they have some sheeps, who are very fluffy and cute. There are also some cows and pigs. In the village cafe we had an amazing soup with forest mushrooms. Highly recommended for a family visit.
Quite interesting place to visit when you have some time to kill. Has many very creepy and also very cool toys. It was larger than I expected, on two floors. You also get 20% discount for the café downstairs.
beautiful museum, very large, with attention to detail
Nice smaller museum with a café inside.

There are 5-6 steps at the entrance but the exposition itself is on one floor with wide enough spaces for a wheelchair.

I rather like that the exposition is structured by aspect rather than chronologically, it gives a better insight into what life around the Speicherstadt was actually like.

There are some pieces that are interactive. I particularly enjoyed how i found the answer on how probing of cargoes was done in the past by actually trying it out myself.

The café has a good selection of teas, some softdrinks and a tasty cake.
One of the best museums I have visited. Very interesting for children and adults. The price is normal.

Totally awesome experience to visit this place. You can experience the real middle age village and including the activities here. So much fun for kids because kids can join the activities here.
You can gain the knowledge, history and fun.

You can see some farm animals here, nicely built middle-age houses and tools. When we were there there were a couple of people wearing old clothes, crafting bows and cooking on open fire. I think there is a lot more going on when they have some special event. There is a hut serving very good looking pizza-like food and drinks. Tickets are cheap, for kids free.
Very small museum. But you can see how to work ware houses at Hamburg Hafen. You can also order coffee, tea and cake various.
