Went to see Romesh Ranganathan there last night. Great venue to watch a comedian at. Good lighting and acoustics.
Really lovely venue. It's a social heat beat as there is a Starbucks so there are many people visiting. There is the gym and leisure centre at the hotel that is popular. The bar and restaurant is really lovely with great mid week meal deals and events for sports. We popped in 7am for breakfast even though we were not guest of the hotel. Buffet style breakfast (not alot of variety). We were happy to be served so early for non hotel guests. Great decors. Very modern and vibrant venue
One of the best experiences of this type. Have done Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle (extremely good), Versailles (also wonderful), etc. The feeling of history here is conveyed in such a fantastic way. You can really imagine Henry VIII and his wives and court walking through the castle.

Terrible room for £550 for 2 nights. Bridge view was 50£ extra and that was all we should have been asked to pay. This hotel is barely worth more than 50£.

The furniture was old to the point of it being run down. Dents, stains everywhere. Carpet so old you wouldn’t dare to touch in your socks.
Mold in the bathroom, water stains on the wooden door, dirty faucet. Everything is at least 40 years old and in dire need of renovation.
This hotel has the potential to be a great stay given its proximity to tower bridge and Tower of London. As of now the only positive thing I can say is the bridge view - and even that was partially blocked by the dirty window.
I am very disappointed for having spent that much money. I would‘ve been equally satisfied in a camping trailer overlooking the bridge.

Besides the location, there are no other perks this hotel offers. Our flight was moved up and we ended up landing 5:30am. Arriving at the hotel a few hours later, we asked if they could accommodate an early check in even by a few hours. They kept assuring us that they’re prioritizing our room and would contact us once the room was ready. The room never got ready until the standard check in time of 3pm. The staff was less than helpful in these circumstances. There was no hospitality to even offer their 800 room hotel’s guests water in the lobby. Speaking of the lobby, it’s the only modern and updated part of the hotel, because the rooms look like they haven’t been updated in 50 years. Stepping into the room was like going into the past. They were not well maintained and they were extremely outdated. Don’t book it unless it’s only for the view.
Beautiful palace and must visit. Tickets are expensive, but worth visiting Henry’s kitchen, gardens, horse ride.

I loved the gardens, also popular for tulip season, you can find different tulips blooming now. It’s huge palace, so please plan and go early. I was not much interested in palace rooms, so we spent most of the time in Kitchen, it’s different and unique setup which I have not seen in any other palace.

Audio guides are free with tickets and are very informative. Second must visit section would be the maze garden, tickets are included in the price, it’s one of the oldest and only maze gardens available in London. It’s fun to find your way, it’s small but challenging maze and is perfect to end your day at the palace.

The food at the cafe is the best I ever had, it’s fresh, clean and good quantity. The pastry and quiche and even the coffee were delicious!!!!

Also don’t forget to notice the famous Faraday house on the way to Hampton Palace.
Absolutely fabulous day out. Worth every penny. Loved the scale of it. Loved the actors. Loved the projected displays in some of the rooms. Wish we had gone early enough to make church. Definitely going back

Breakfast is a joke! I paid for this and there was no fruit, nothing but dried banana to go with yoghurt and a section of so few cereals. No muesli. No oats. No porridge. Staff, whilst friendly, didn’t know what time breakfast opened on the bank holiday Monday. Other days breakfast was opened late with a queue of people waiting.

Club room is large. Medium cleanliness. TV didn’t work in my room.

Confusion over the car park pricing too. Room says it’s free on weekends. Staff seemed unsure told me it’s included with my room but didn’t ask for my registration. Car park says it’s 4 hours free then charged including weekends. Car parking app doesn’t work well.

The hotel is mediocre. It’s cheaper but probably not worth the money in my opinion. Need more attention to detail and better management and proper breakfast options.

Reading other reviews it seems to be a trend. Staff are nice but hotel needs to be better managed and maintained. Total lack of care for detail.

I wouldn’t stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.
Such a wonderful castle, filled with art, flowers, a stunning garden and all sorts of wonderful tenants including the Royal School of Needlework. It’s an easy ride from London so don’t hesitate to visit next time you’re around!

This is the perfect hotel. The room was of a very high standard, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot with good pressure. The breakfasts were perfect and when we ordered room service, if we ate in the restaurant or if we ate in the bar, the food was to a very high standard, and there was plenty of it.
I found the greatest asset at this hotel were the staff. The waiting staff were incredible as were all the other members, but I think the staff member that stood out most was Joe at the front reception. What a lovely young man who was the consummate professional, and who very easily conveyed a very warm and caring hospitality, that you can only find in England.
We’ll go back to Australia with a sense that we were truly looked after and we’ll definitely be back.
Thank you 😊
Tulips festival: open day for Garden. Pay to go to the palace. Royal Chapel is beautiful. Henry VIII's Kitchens is interesting which was comprised of 40 rooms and staffed with 200 servants to service the palace. If you don’t like to use the provided audio set you can use the QR codes at the entrance of historic buildings to learn the stories and history. Highly recommend you to use the audio guide as there aren’t a lot of explanation on the rooms or items.
C'est endroit est génial ! à visiter avec les enfants, c'est encore mieux. On découvre la création de la terre et son évolution complètement en immersion. On a vraiment l'impression de faire un voyage dans le temps. C'est super !
Great venue - not too big like many arenas. Close to town and hotels so easy walking distance - have large car park anyway. Nice to see the super 2 pint measure again - saves a trip to the bar mid concert! Saw Simple Minds - brilliant as always.
My first time at Chobham and luckily we chose a sunny day , the course is lovely and well kept , challenging at times , with lots of water . Food was excellent and all staff were efficient and friendly .
Looking forward to returning 😊👍

The hotel location is fantastic, easy access to the tube and walking distance to many landmarks.
Beakfast choice was impressive and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Just the room I was in was looking a bit tired and shabby and in vast need of a refurb. The shower was crazy as the pressure was too much for the pipes to handle, water shot out over the edge of the bath and soaked the floor (which interestingly had a wet room drain in the floor)

Loved it. Great room overlooking the wonderful Tower Bridge and Thames. Location excellent. Room was quiet, tidy and comfortable. Great staff. It doesn't win prizes for beauty outside, but, it was great inside and we appreciated that. Very busy though, especially at the breakfast room and lifts, but the staff were awesome. I'd recommend it. Very handy to key tourist spots.
Overall a great place, especially if you are a fan of Henry VIII story. I was lucky to witness the last days of tulip festival which decorates the place so gracefully. Spring is probably the best time to visit. The playground is an absolute gem. Minus one star due to lack of cafes and restaurants on the premises. There is one cafe situated in one of the gardens where I got at 3pm and the part where they serve food was already closed, while the premises shut at 5.30pm, so everyone in a huge queue was left with coffee and pastries only.
Okay so the outside of the building is like what a six year old might build with a drawer full of dirty Lego, but once you're inside it's a brilliant facility for a conference: a big entrance hall with escalators, a massive main hall and many many small and large runs to house meetings, break out groups, exhibitions. Adequate, clean toilet facilities and the staff are friendly and helpful.
A nice & big palace with a lot of big gardens, and a nice children playground (it's called The Magic Garden).

There's a maze garden too...

Luckily there's a gold bunny hunting with a prize.
Kids surely enjoy the hunting...

The guards and officers are all friendly with great costumes.

All places are tidy, clean, and well-managed.

Typisk turistattraktion. Se det och kronjuvelerna. Gå till Tower Bridge istället.
Went to see Simple Minds. Parked at a local hotel. 4 min walk to venue. Got in easily. Merchandise stall right as you came in. Alcohol usual prices. Were selling it in 2 pint glasses which is a recipe for disaster. Plenty of toilets and queues moved quickly.

Got into venue. Pitch dark and no one to show you to your seat. Just a man standing there trying to look hard as security who told me to go and find "the lady" and she'll show you as it was nothing to do with him. We found out seats ourselves. Poor.

The venue actually has plastic seats as the stall seats. Hilarious.

Simple Minds came on to "waterfront" and everyone stood up. How could you not? Well the aging population that had turned up decided otherwise. Had an old lady with a stick covering her ears most of the time and others who didn't even seem to know Simple Minds music. What a bunch of miserable people. Still the stalls and parts of the arena were up and dancing to the anthems of this magnificent band.

Jim's singing was fantastic and I still adore him. His cat like poses are iconic. Charlie was on point the whole concert as were the backing band especially the young female drummer. What an energy she bought to the group and her talent was undeniable.

The female backing singer hit all the notes and held her own.

The band took us through their early material and of course the hits. It was simply incredible to see them in such a small venue. So close up and the sound was amazing as was the light show.

Jim had us eating out of the back of his hand. La la la la la la..... You get my drift!!! Iconic.

I danced and sang all night and reminisced about seeing them in 1989? At Wembley Stadium. Bigger arena, better crowd but still tonight was marvelous.

So to wrap it up SImple Minds were unbelievably good. Venue good to get up close and personal and enjoy the sound.

BUT I witnessed as did many others a man jump out of his seat and grab the man in front of him forcefully and violently and scream and curse in his face about "you sit down you **** I can't see' he threatened him and was held back by a female with him and someone sitting next to him who wasn't with him.

The fact the man he attacked was a carer for a visually impaired man made it all the more disgusting. The poor man was so shook up he didn't stand up again till the man left (with 4 songs to go". Never in my life have I ever witnessed anything so disgusting at a concert.

Listen people. People want to stand and dance even if they have a seat. Accept it. Don't be a killjoy and spoil people's fun. If you think you can tell people to sit down you are wrong. It states no where in the ticket you cannot stand

The demographic of the audience is OLD and I think spoilt it for some. I'm in my late 50's and felt young. It epitomizes Bournemouth as an area I think.

Please can someone contact me re the above incident. Security were nowhere to be seen.
It was a criminal offence.

But Simple Minds. If you get the chance go see them.
We had been debating where to take our kids for a free day from London and this was a great choice. It was during Holy Week and they had a golden bunny hunt set up with a dozen bunnies scattered around the gardens of the palace (with names of famous people associated with the castle like Christopher Wren and Charles Dickens). But even without the bunnies the Magical Playground and maze were huge favorites for the day. The gardens were amazing and the inside of the palace was worth the wander. We got there just before 1100 on a Sunday and listened to the sung service which was quite beautiful as well. It is included in the Historical Palaces membership which also made it free (pairs well with The Tower of London on another day).

Had a lovely one night stay to celebrate a special birthday. The slice of cake in the room was such a lovely touch, thank you! The view was amazing, just as we'd hoped. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Would definitely stay again!
Great place! With great people! 👍🏿
Good place for meetings and casual working. Staff all very helpful and nice
A good venue & well organised at a concert I went to recently. The stage effects & sound were perfect. I even managed to get my confiscated water back after the show 😍😄
BIC Bournemouth is a great venue for live events. I've been there three times and I had a blast each time. The sound quality is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is electric. There's always something going on, whether it's music, comedy, or theatre. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves live entertainment.
Please fix the locks on the women’s toilets. It’s been over a year. I can’t live like this, I need to pee without fear
We had a fantastic experience at BIC to watch a wonderful performance of RA. We arrived on time, had a bite to eat and a drink before the show. My 1st visit to BIC and the auditorium was impressive and very comfortable. We had seats in the rear stalls and the view was fabulous. We only have praise for the set-up, functionality and organisation. Will definitely return to another performance at BIC.

This is a fairly comprehensive review of the gym and leisure facilities at The Village Hotel, Edinburgh. Having been a member for the requisite year (I have decided to leave) these are my plus and minus points about being a gym and leisure member:

+
Good size gym
Other members fairly friendly
Welcoming atmosphere
Fairly good location
Other businesses inside - Starbucks, restaurant, bar
Initial sign-up easy
Good engagement via circular emails
Customer service decent
Personal trainers and advice readily available
Lockers easy to use
Entry and exit straightforward
Car park easy to use and always has spaces
Fairly stress-free compared to there gyms

Dirty - the toilets and changing rooms are often quite dirty (considering the relatively pricey membership fee)
Toilet seats broken and don't stay up!
Locker doors often broken
Shower door hooks often broken
Guest pass system very poor (see below)
Broken equipment - the gym equipment is not maintained adequately considering the price level of the membership fee
They took an extra 2 weeks of money when I left after 12 months (so I paid 12 months + 2 weeks which differed from the contract I signed)
Membership fee raised while I was a member with no noticeable improvements
Swimming pool very small
Hot tub is very small and always full (even off-peak)

My overall feeling was The Village is very quick to take your money, raise fees and make it difficult to leave (3 months notice and took more than 12 month’s fees from me even though I gave over 3 month’s notice).

In general my opinion is that the gym and facilities are not well maintained for the price (£62 /m). For around £80-100 a month there are far more well maintained gyms and spas in Edinburgh that I’ve been a member of.

Ultimately I decided to leave due to the focus on extracting more money from me without an adequate approach to making the facilities acceptable. I would happily pay £30-40 a month (similar to council gym) for this place but not the price they are charging.

Furthermore I was given 6 printed guest passes when I joined which expired within 1 week! I asked for the dates to be changed and they offered me the option of electronic passes that would not expire. However when I took a guest a couple of times they said the passes were deleted and charged my guest. They offered to get the manager to help but I couldn't be bothered so just paid!

In conclusion it is quite a nice place to workout but the gym and leisure facilities are not up to scratch for the amount they charge in my opinion. A manager / boss with more focus on quality rather than taking guest's money would improve the situation and I may have stayed on.
Great service from the person behind the bar despite being left alone during the England v Wales six nations match.

Dealt incredibly with a very busy bar calmly and with a fantastic attitude
Nice food, friendly staff, quick service, cold drinks... #completedmission nice!
Had a wonderful evening celebrating my husbands birthday. Lovely, helpful staff with nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere for networking.
First time we are visiting an event at the BIC. Loved it. Astonishing visual effects, good visibility of the stage even though our seats were the furthest, sound was really good too. Staff were really helpful and proffessional. Parking is a bit expensive but that can not ruin our whole impression of that whole experience seeing a great band like Madness on their 2023 tour.

First time at this hotel. Stayed for 2 nights. Immaculate throughout, staff very very attentive and friendly. Hotel was a good size, rooms were lovely and clean. Lots of parking. Breakfast was superb. Will definitely stay there again, really good value for money.
The guy behind the bar is worth his weight in gold. How on earth he kept serving everyone and clearing up after folk is beyond me. Great pub.

A royal palace is located on the banks of Tamiz River, which is known as one of the most haunted places in London. The reason is rooted in the past of this historical castle. In about 800 years, the Tower of London was used as a prison by the Salt family
Man känner historiens vingslag och tänker på alla de som styrt och styrts från Towern.
Bra utställningar.
Kronjuvelerna är verkligen imponerande. Synd att man inte får fota dem.
Didn't actually play golf but the course looks lovely. Great setting, we like just popping in for a drink as you can't seem to go to a pub these days and sit and have a quiet drink and a chat , so it's perfect here !
Great golf club. Lovely course, great bar staff, nice neat pro shop. All round really friendly members. Definitely a warm welcome when you arrive or join. Great management too to assist in any way. Thumbs up here. If you are thinking of joining a new golf club in the area then this is the one you definitely want to try out.
A friendly welcome to beautifully presented course. A good test for golfers of all levels. Tricky greens means big hitters don't get all the prizes! Some memorable holes.
