I personally liked it more than the British museum. It's got so much to see and something for every interest. Such amazing artworks and artifacts. Not as crowded as the British Museum. Has a beautiful cafe and a good visit to pair with Harrods which is 10 minutes walk away.
One of the best art museum in London! Not really crowded even on holidays, many art items with comfortable amount of crowd allowing you to enjoy the art. Their cafe is another highlight of the museum, you get to dine in an astonishing dining hall.
Fantastic museum. Far too large for one day...pick 2-3 areas to dive into and choose your route through the museum to scan more. We managed Middle Ages / Renaissance and Paintings, but walked through Sculpture, Jewelry, Casts, and a couple more in our way to and from the galleries we really wanted to see. The café is gorgeous (all three rooms). It's worth ordering something just to spend a little time taking it all in.

The whole museum deserves descriptors like "stunning" and "magnificent."

Unfortunately, I was called away before I could give the museum the time it deserves (confound all mobile phones!), but I will definitely be returning.
Excellent displays and exhibits.
Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.
This museum is amazing! It has a huge collection of artifacts that tell the story of the world's history. It's quite large, so plan on spending at least 5-6 hours to see everything. My kids especially loved exploring the different sections, like the ones on Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Love wandering around this place for a few hours, lots to see and its a great enviroment for kids to learn.. even adults!

I'm always learning when I come here.
Beautiful interiors. It has much to interest the art enthusiasts. The interiors were breathtaking. The sculptures were in good detail. There are a lot of chinese porcelain pieces with a lot of details. Would recommend buying tickets in advance though the entrance is free
Enjoyable place to visit looking around a royal residence, the history of Queen Victoria from a young girl to her later life. The rooms, the furniture, and some classic paintings on the walls. Quite a few staircases to climb, but there are small lifts in most areas. Cafe with outside seating, serving light meals, tea, and coffee. A gift shop is also available and most things at a reasonable price.
Beautiful place, there was a long queue outside, but it was worth it. You can walk freely inside, place is not big. Just make sure that you come at the time that is specified in your ticket, as queues are grouped based on entry time.
Soooo much fun and interesting things to see and learn from! We spent almost an entire day there, and still haven't seen everything, we are going back for another visit and this time hopefully we'll see more! Unbelievable diversity of cultural arts, pottery, jewellery, clothes, etc that one would need a few days/ visits to be able to really get it! Loved every second of my 1st visit and can't wait to return!
This place is much smaller than the Buckingham palace however, it is no less in beauty. The palace is surrounded by a garden and has a huge lake in front of it. If you want to enter the palace and take a tour then you will have to purchase tickets. However, if you just want to visit the garden and have a nice day there, it's completely free. You can enjoy the view of the lake, have a stroll in the garden, walk your dog, feed the swans, ducks and other birds, or even have a nice picnic here.
Came here on a Youth Trip. Very friendly staff, beautiful little museum
I visited Kensington Palace on a weekday and lucked out with sunny weather in January. The palace is definitely worth a visit, offering a fascinating glimpse into history and royal life. After exploring the palace, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll in the nearby park, making it a perfect day out. Whether you're interested in history or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Kensington Palace and its surroundings won't disappoint.
Nestled amidst breathtaking gardens and a tranquil pond, this palace is an absolute gem for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The architecture is simply stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for capturing memorable moments. The meticulously maintained gardens offer a delightful escape for leisurely strolls, with picturesque views at every turn. And with numerous benches scattered throughout, there’s no shortage of cozy spots to pause and take in the beauty of the surroundings. My visit was nothing short of magical, and I highly recommend this enchanting palace for anyone seeking a serene and unforgettable experience.
Looks beautiful, really good landscape and gardens!

Really enjoyable for children, there is a park for children (you can only enter if you have a child with you) the park has lots of attractions for children.

There is a cafe and toilets.

The Kensington palace you can walk around it for free, however if you want to visit the place where princess Diana lived you do need to purchase ticket before hand, below in my pictures you will
Be able to see the price. The last entry ticket is 4:30pm. The Kensington place garden is beautiful beyond imagination.

It is a lovely park if you just wanted to walk through or come with family (picnic)

Would definitely keep coming!
The park is really well maintained.
There's nothing greater than being able to take your kids, and yourself, to Manchester Museum for free. There are some fantastic displays, great historical education, the environment is clean and welcoming and there's enough space for it not to feel overcrowded.

There are dinosaurs, taxidermy, fossils, videos, displays and loads more cool things to keep everyone engaged.

The cafe is relaxed, reasonably priced with top quality food and drink and extremely friendly staff.
Lovely museum with incredible artifacts. Such nice volunteers leading guided tours. Loved that it was not nearly as crowded as the natural history museum across the street. I’d love to visit again and spend more time. Loved the soap in the gift shop and brought some home with me.
Obviously this palace isn't as nice as the much more famous Buckingham palace but I still really enjoyed my visit here. The gardens in front of the palace make it a very tranquil experience and the perfect getaway from the busy city. Highly recommended if you're in Kensington.
The museum is fantastic overall. My personal highlight was the intricate miniature structures on the third floor. Visiting on a Sunday, I found the first and second floors bustling with visitors, but the third and fourth floors were pleasantly uncrowded. From jewelry to technological devices, the museum exhibits a diverse array of items from around the globe. I highly recommend paying a visit.

Brilliant place to visit and explore. Place is split over 2 buildings and 3 floors and adjoined by bridges. Word of warning, if taking kids, snack before exploring! The main picnic area is on the ground floor, no snacks or drinks In the main exhibit areas.
Really educational and both kids (7 and 4) found something interesting to see.
Free to enter, but also has the ability to take contactless donations to help run the museum
Fantastic little museum. Definitely worth a visit as it's free entry. Very educated guides full of knowledge. The replica courtroom upstairs is very good.
An interesting museum with lots to look at. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, all ex-police officers, some of which worked at the police station that the museum is based in.
I will say everyone was so educated and truly kind hearted, I was fortunate to had a beautiful dialogue with a Lady that had a degree in history and was able to speak and exchange a couple of historical facts that truly marked the friendship between the UK and the Jewish community and also the gratitude by deeds done in Manchester for the hole of the Manchester city... By the building of hospitals and so forth... The hardships of starting over with nothing and the ones that grew and allow Manchester to be seen has a Beehive. Even exchange some little stories and had a beautiful smile on the end. Unfortunately this museum does not show the magnificent work of what gratitude and success in many fields the Jewish community has done trough the ages. And also should be better explained the rituals and true concept of this religion. I would definitely advise to buy the book and also hopefully this historian great lady be ones guide... To explain the long and respectful friendship that combined this two great people, the ones that allowed Jews to stay and the Jews that made Manchester a home and made it better from even before world wars... Has a European citizen and one that comes from Lisbon and knows a bit of history I am truly grateful for at least to have crossed paths with this lady and the kindness of also a Jewish Lady that worked with underprivileged groups like myself. True kindness and hope one day like I did in the past also be allowed to write by my own hand after choosing a word to answer two questions... History shines by deeds and by deeds we make the hole shine by good morals and understanding the final goal. To give back the chance to live again and to belong somewhere and make this ground more them it was before. Honestly even so it is a beautiful place, for me that has able to visit before the award, i missed the bridges the citation of certain true stories that combined children and adults... What does a parent for ones children, what does one due to fit in, what way and mark exists that shows gratitude and success... One should definitely buy the book ... And take a bit a sit down a read and understand beyond what we see and ear...
Blessings to all that have received me with kind heart.
I used National Art Pass to get free entry, so I couldn't book a ticket in advance. However, the queue was not very long, and I got in after about 5 minutes. Make sure to pick up an audio guide. A map is not really necessary because there were specific paths to follow. The staff at Kensington Palace were very friendly and helpful. I attended one of the talks at the King's State Apartments, and it was very interesting. I also enjoyed walking around the garden after visiting the Palace. Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon.
Great place to spend the day. Especially like the instilation by insta griotgallerymalvern
A really nice experience for adults and children alike…. I enjoyed my time here… I would advise booking ahead for the Egyptian mummies exhibition…. There were lots to see and learn so I would advise minimum 2 hours and even that’s not enough time to go through all this museum has to explain… my favorite area was the dinosaurs… there was a cafe as well for those who want to have something to eat.
Einzeleintritt £ 24.-
My 7 year old daughter and i just visited the museum on a Thursday in half term, we expected it to be very busy but it wasn't, we entered straight away. My daughter absolutely loves the police force so this has been on our list for quite some time but the opening times made it tricky, its only open on Tuesdays then sometimes Thursdays during school holidays (you can check the Facebook page).
She loved trying on the different uniforms and seeing the police bikes (no other vehicles, we thought there would be a car).
We collected our tickets to the court room as we entered, and what fun she had in there, called to the stand to be a witness as a little pig against the big bad (very funny) wolf!
We then made our way down to the cells where we met a lovely volunteer who talked with her and answered all her questions and then to the charge desk to be shown different equipment the force have used through time to the present day.
The museum is only small but we were there for 1hr 30m and she loved it.
One of the best teams of volunteers we have come across, everyone we interacted with were lovely and insightful!
Theres a little gift shop at the exit where she upgraded some of her costume pieces, not overpriced either like they usually are.

I will add we were very pleased to see our manx symbol on the treasure hunt sheet

Excellent museum with lots of impressive exhibits. Its layed out over three floors and they are easy to navigate. Lift access is available and there is a choice of two cafe's with one serving food. There is also an indoor picnic area with lots of seating. The museum is all free entry but online booking is advised for the golden mummies exhibit. Overall a wonderful experience was had and the museum is a great place to spend 2-3 hours and the children loved it.
Very interesting Museum. It's mostly only open on a Tuesday and is run by volunteers, who are very helpful and informative.
There's lots to see, including the old police cells, old uniforms, and police equipment. Some pretty terrifying weapons also on display that have been confiscated over the decades.
The Manchester Museum is a treasure trove of wonders, offering an enriching experience without costing a penny. Its stunning collection of wild animal and bird sculptures, complete with their original skins, provides a captivating glimpse into the natural world. The addition of fossils, dinosaur sculptures, and mummies adds depth and charm to the museum's already diverse array of exhibits. Moreover, the provision of impeccably clean toilet facilities in the basement ensures visitor’s comfort throughout their exploration. With its impressive offerings and free admission, the Manchester Museum is a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike, promising a memorable and educational experience for all.

Ein Museum, das einen Besuch wert ist. Pretty Cool 👍Warto zwiedzic 😁
I would have given it 5 stars but there wasn't any food on in the cafe as the chef wasn't there. We hadn't had lunch but did have some lovely cake. The new addition to the museum is fantastic. I worked there 39 years ago as a graphic designer in the old part of the building. I would definitely go again as there's so much to see.
Nice couple of hours for a mooch round. Some interesting pieces to see and a cafe on the first floor. Roadside parking is available very close by (small charge) and this is opposite the Fusilier’s museum also. There are events on regularly so worth checking social media and the website for updates. Right in the town centre and very accessible from Bury Interchange.

It is a good place to spend the day with family and friends. It's free to enter and quite easy to navigate.

You may need to register to see some of the temporary exhibits, but you can do so on your phone at the museum.

There were exhibits from different parts of the world and in different categories. Science, culture, media, etc

It's not as big as big as some other museums that I have visited, but I love that the displays are not overwhelming.

I'd advise dedicating most of your day to visiting the museum as there is quite a lot to see.
A really sweet little art gallery with some lovely pieces. The staff are friendly and the tea shop is lovely. The shop is pretty expensive, but no more than you'd expect at this kind of place.

Lots of activities going on for kids so well worth a visit.
Fantastic didactic experience. Such variety of artefacts. Enthusiastic staff to direct you to different displays. Cafe was good and the cakes were enjoyable. Architecturally the museum is spacious and a great backdrop to contemporary and historical displays. A revelation.
Had a quick visit here this weekend, was really interesting to hear about the Jewish community in Manchester, and there was so much to see! Good for a morning/afternoon but not really a whole day. They have a cafe that looked really nice and a small shop. The synagogue was beautiful!
Fantastic museum, exhibits, food, and staff were superb. Brilliant insight into Manchester's Jewish history.
Amazing building with beautiful traditional and contemporary art...helpful staff and well worth a visit.

Pas trop long. Sympa pour les petits
