A pleasant quiet park, with a lake and river (Hogsmill) and plenty of seating. There's also a library and a wedding venue adjacent.
In May 2024 a revamped cafe will be opening next to the car park and small garden centre.

Lovely hidden area. Lots of wildlife and birds. Perfect walk if you have young children or a small dog. Great for a quick walk. Only let down by the people that drop litter and don't pick up their dog poop.
wonderful walk, can be muddy after rain so need good shoes, canr wait to go back during summer but overall amazing, parking is not shown on maps soyou can try parking a bit closer
Reviewers are confusing two separate locations.
1. The Harborne Walkway, a walking and cycling route between Harborne and Summerfield Park, along the route of a defunct railway line. Managed by Birmingham Council Parks Service
2. The Harborne Nature Reserve, owned by Birmingham City Council and managed under agreement by the West Midland Bird Club, accessed by a locked gate from below the Walkway adjacent Gillhurst Road.

Amazing place for dog walking.
Lovely walk around the lake, spent half an hour in the hide watching a heron and an egret and other birds. Place is kept lovely and clean with a group of volunteers. Nice visitor centre where we enjoyed a cup of tea while watching the birds feed. I bought 3 pin badges and a plant for the garden. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.
