Katie was very helpful when I returned some clothes. Be prepared to queue, but that is expected for the location. Nice selection

Had an issue with some tops bought online. Wanted to exchange in store as item was faulty - no can do. But it was the ‘managers’ attitude that I didn’t like. Extremely unfriendly, unhelpful and had an awful attitude.
She can only have been just out of school. Definitely has a lot to learn.

Range of kids clothes has gone downhill hugely in the last 12 months.... Disappointing as they used to love the clothes on offer here

Customer service somewhat lacking!

We popped by here late one Saturday morning with the intention of buying some new shoes but we left 10 minutes later as the staff did not appear to want to make any sales. Despite browsing and hanging about for a while, not one of the sales staff came up to us or offered any assistance which was very disappointing. We were not the only customers who felt this way as another couple also came and went at the same time... Bit of a shame but I did manage to make my purchase at another shop so the mission was accomplished anyway!

Poor customer service. Must be tried to not smile and no cares given..They just screw up my new clothes like rubbish and chucked them in the bag.got home realised there is 2 items missing and a t shirt with security tag still attached.will go back next weekend. And probably have to fight about it.

A very good store, but unfortunately they did not have what I was looking for on this occasion.

We use sporty swim regularly for training and competition kit. Martyn and the team are always really helpful. They have a huge selection of products and allow you to try items on, giving feedback on fit for racesuits etc. Prices are always competitive. We've purchased in store, on line and at competitions and we have always been really happy with the customer service.

Excellent customer service and advice both over the phone and at swim meets. Great products at reasonable prices. I would highly reccomend!

Brilliant service! Ordered online (while poolside!) late afternoon on Sunday. Today is Tuesday and I've already had a message to say it will be delivered today!

People Infront of me and my partner their money was fine went straight in to the till, yet when my partner paid we was made to stand there with our kids and everyone waiting behind us whilst she checked if our money was real, every single note, face like a slapped bum

Avoid runners need, their staff are terrible and after sale service is even worse. Got ignored for ages and then rushed in to buying an expensive pair of shoes. They ended up giving me blisters and I couldn't return then despite only wearing them in my house.

Strongly advise you to stay away from this place. Awful customer service, man showed me one pair of shoes and didn't listen to any of my requirements. I then bought the shoes, wore them around the house and got blisters from them. I was then told I couldn't return them. Absolute waste of £180! Man on the returns desk was extremely rude and made me out to be a liar. Do not use this store, they will just sell you the most expensive show they can and not allow you to return them

Always have a very positive experience with sporty swim, they are friendly at galas, very reasonably priced and quick to dispatch online orders

Only place in Aberdeen along with Craigdon Mountain Sports that sells top quality equipment, shoes and clothing. Albeit you will pay a premium for the brands they stock but they will almost certainly not only last longer but perform better than cheaper competitors. Extremely knowledgable & helpful staff.

Do not recommend.
They do not accept returns without labels even though the jacket was in fact broken.
They sent it to warehouse for tests and said they need to return the jacket back to me refusing refund or replacement.
When they did send the jacket back it got lost in the post and was stolen.
Got my refund in the end.
Bunch of rude, patronising horrible people. Went on for months.
I’ll never return to the store

Spoke to lady called Grace the other day who was brilliant. Answered all my questions and stayed calm and polite throughout. I came in expecting to lose my temper but ended up leaving fully satisfied. Cheers.

Kasim was very helpful with the video gate analysis, running on a treadmill videoed, and then played back in slow motion. I tried five different pairs ran on them on the treadmill, narrow it down to 2, then narrowed down to one. Excellent exercise, way better than I could imagine ordering shoes online without customise, great job great service highly recommended

Went to get a pair of shoes. Waited for 15 min and nobody was knowledgeable at all. Even tho I’ve asked. It’s a very run down place. Too old fashion and I didn’t get motivated to but anything so I walked out. Don’t recommend it at all. Visit the real stores.

Great service from the gentleman in the Runners need section. Went in on a busy Sunday without an appointment for gait analysis and he asked us to come back at 2pm. He did an analysis on me and my girlfriend and we bought two pairs of trainers. We took them to the counter to pay and asked if there were any discounts available and without arguing gave a very generous 10% discount. So happy with the service we will come back and buy our next trainers from here. They went the extra mile (pun intended!). Thank you.

Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. After listening to what I needed and my preferences, the store assistant offered to measure my feet, with a very sophisticated electronic tool. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything fitting in the store so I was advised to check online or on the brand website, which was slightly disappointing. However, the customer service was excellent.

Went to this shop after having terrible service - like none - at the Monument branch on 3 previous occasions. I at least saw someone and he was not rude. But he knew nothing about shoes; in fact he did not even know which shoes they stocked. I had to show him what a Mizuno shoe looked like. After identifying what shoes I wanted, he came back with them but they did not have my size, and/or wide fitting. He left me to try them on and disappeared. I gave up and left after 5 mins waiting for him to return. If you want great customer service, and a wide range of shoes, try Run & Become nr Victoria. Found my shoes, and came out very happy. Never go to a Runner's Need again!

I’m glad I went to Runners Need to get a gait assessment and figure out which shoe was best for me - but there are a few reasons why this review hasn’t achieved a 5 star review.

The first is that it costs £15 to do the gait analysis - which is about 30 seconds of running on the treadmill and 30 seconds of assessment. The £15 is redeemable if you purchase a pair of shoes but this puts the pressure to make a purchase.

The second is although the customer service person was friendly and quick, she didn’t offer the level of advice I was expecting for a £15 service. She provided a high level assessment of my gait through the video, asked 2 questions, and brought me two pairs of shoes to try on. When I said I was happy with one of the options, she asked if I would like to try on more. I was a bit confused as I didn’t know what else I should be looking for so I asked whether I should try on other options and she advised no. She did highlight some instability in my gait which was useful but perhaps not for £15.

But the main reason for my 3-star review is that the cost of shoes at Runners Need is about 40-50% more than what I found online. Runners Need do offer price matching but not to online stores so they wouldn’t price match my shoes. I opted to buy them online as even with the £15 gait assessment, my shoes would cost £50 more at Runners Need!

It’s good to get some help and insight, especially if you’re not sure where to start, but I don’t think it’s a 5-star service!

Absolutely filthy shop got there when they first opened on a Sunday at 10am rubbish and food etc over floors so obviously no cleaners are used or staff can't be bothered could have gone round the whole shop taking pictures of the dirt and rubbish.

Great shop, bought a nice barbour top in a sale, staff always helpful.
