Staff in Manchester Hawksmoor are outstanding - professional, polite, super friendly and recommended so much to us - local places to eat and drink, etc. - everyone was smiley and greeted us in some way as we moved through from reception, via the bar, to our table. Ambience and decor is also great! The food was incredible - mouth-watering fillet steak, glorious bone marrow gravy, delicious beef dripping chips (to name but a few); all perfectly cooked, decent portions, and one of our party, who has never been to Hawksmoor before, said it was “quite possibly one of the best meals” she’s ever had.
Bad experience here over a week ago - food burnt, mixed up order, pricey for what we got. Never set foot inside this place again - complained to Beefeater and got a "so called" apology and to say my experience will be brought up in management meeting - Joke of a Place
We walked in for lunch after a visit to Dunbar. Busy little restaurant so lucky to time it for a table. A great choice of good quality pub food.

After reading other reviews on here I was expecting a cozy spot for a tasty lunch, but unfortunately instead I got a drab room with mediocre food. Decor was grey and depressing. Food was not worth the price. I had the fish and chips - the batter was pale and the chips tasted like they were cooked from frozen. I asked for sauce and was given one sad solitary packet. Not worth £15 in the slightest.
Staff couldn't do enough for us. Had a sharer with my husband. Good sized portions of excellent tender meats with a real smokey tang. Highly recommend
West Derby Service was fantastic for our party off 14 really good portions and very good service so much enjoyed we went back two days later table for 2 again you couldn’t fault this restaurant place you must try 👏👏👏👏👏
Can't complain about all you can eat steak!! We went for 2 set menus but swapped one lot of steak for halloumi. All the sides were also delicious 😋 you definitely wouldn't leave this place hungry. The only thing we found was that it was very loud because it's quite small. But other than that, a great experience and we shall be booking to go again!!

I have to admit that the Jungle Formula cocktail was the only thing I wouldn’t recommend. It was pretty disgusting but didn’t distract from the evening as the staff offered a replacement and were more than happy to mix a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu.
I was too busy enjoying everything to get decent photos. We will return.

Amazing! Food service atmosphere...everything was perfect,scallops were so tasty 😋 steak cooked to perfection 👌 and the beef pudding was delicious 😋. The staff are so welcoming and pleasant, they make you feel welcome and are always around if you need anything... big thanks to Ryan!! You were fab. Will be going back and recommending to friends and family as well x
This restaurant is excellent for arrange a party. I was organised a birthday party for 60 people. The buffet food was very tasty. The staff behaviour so nice also the chef was professional. I recommended 5/5. This restaurant is best value for money.
What an absolutely incredible experience we had at the Coal Shed! The food was outstanding, hands down one of the best meals I have ever had.
For starters we got the truffle arancini (to share), they were incredible, you could definitely taste the truffle and the combination with the parmesan cheese was wow. I wish they gave 4 pieces instead of 3, but that's my preference as it would be easier to share. We also had the slow cooked pork belly, which was absolutely delicious. It was so tender, it melted in my mouth! I was in heaven!
The steak was also really good, but the triple cooked chips stole the show. I would go back to Brighton just to have another incredible meal at the Coal Shed!

I came here for my birthday last Saturday with 18 people, and the whole evening was amazing. We opted for the group set menu where you are able to customise the starters and mains, with tiramisu for dessert (which was delicious and nut free!) alongside half of bottle of vino/prosecco. The cacio e pepe, mushroom truffle and nduja pastas were divine. The focaccia is also extremely addictive, very grateful they brought out multiple portions! I’ve had nonstop comments from the entire group saying the food was unreal and that they will be making a return trip. The staff really went above and beyond to make the whole evening seamless; group dinners can be chaotic but it was honestly such a lovely evening and experience. Thank you so much to Freya for all her hard work on the lead up and on the night, as well as all the input from the rest of the staff… I will 100% be coming back. Huge huge thank you for making my birthday so special!

Service was some of the best I've ever encountered from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. The staff were super friendly. Food was another level too, though wish I had tried the bone marrow now but maybe next time. The atmosphere was wonderful and everything was a lovely experience. My ribeye was served perfectly, seasoned better than any other steak I've had. The stilchten sauce was good and the chips were a good sized portion.

Food was very nice but the atmosphere was very boring, no music or energy. The service was very slow, the People working there are very nice but need to pick up on their pace
Went for breakfast booked in at 10.45 but oh breakfast finishes at 11. Not finishes serving but they clear everything away. Had to ask for bread to toast (which the waitress seemed very put out). There was next to nothing when we got there. Why let people book a table and then clear everything away?

Visit Yeadon Stoops most weeks for work and can say I have never had a negative experience. The food is always perfectly cooked with minimal wait times. Staff both behind the bar and on the floor are incredibly friendly and welcoming and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience.
Great service and selection of meats, pizzas and pasta. Great cocktails. Only disappointed was that I ordered the steaks medium, should have gone with rare, my mistake
We had a lamb dinner it was excellent . We were served by Ellie, she was absolutely wonderful catered for our every need we had an issue with my Granddaughters desert which Ellie dealt with swiftly and professionally to our satisfaction she was great throughout our visit and is a Credit to your team.
Service was quick can't fault it. Food was disappointing to say we spent nearly £40 on 2 starters, 2 mains and a soft drink each. Atmosphere wasn't great but it was Tuesday lunchtime.

En résumé une entrée un plat 100 euro pas copieux .... à fuir !!!! soit-disant une ambiance, très décevant, horrible expérience.

Die Vorspeise war ausgezeichnet.
Die Hauptspeise leider ein wenig karg dekoriert. Ein wenig mehr Gemüse zur Präsentation wäre wünschenswert. Das Fleisch (Chateaubriand) war ein wenig beissfest und leicht verbrannt am Rand.
Das Dessert war wiederum perfekt.
Der Service war auch gut. Wir hatten nicht reserviert haben aber sofort ein Tisch bekommen.

Le fish and chip était délicieux !
Ambiance feutrée et chanteuse entre Régine et Edith Piaf mais qui fait le job . Les plats ne sont pas révolutionnaires mais le cadre rattrape le coup . Bonne soirée

Lovely ambiance, scallops & steak cooked really well. Ordered surf & turf with a whole lobster because its a special dinner. Menu with half a lobster is £55 so add £25 to get a whole lobster. Something happened with half of the lobster so they replaced it with a prawn instead without asking me 1st if I would like that so this for me is not a good customer service. Don't just assume that customers are ok with replacing something if its not available. I could have just returned the prawn but its already been cooked and on my plate so I thought it's a waste if I return the prawn. Pls next time check with your customers coz you can't uncook something!
The only food palatable was the chips and fish. The salads were watery and not so well prepared. The roast lamb was dry, lacking moisture. The fried chicken was flooded with barbecue and burger sauce. Some of the staff were in jogging bottoms and trainers. The decor of the place is good. Could do well with proper management and chef.
Très bon Château Briand parfaite cuisson. Ambiance feutrée. Evitez de s'asseoir côté véranda car il y a des odeurs de cigare qui provienne du 1er étage.
Excellent restaurant écossais près de la hare de Voctoria. J’y ai mangé un de meilleur burger de ma vie. Mon compagnon a pu goûté le traditionnel « haggis ». Nous avons tous les deux passé une excellente soirée.
Ben for breakfast and it was good. Decent sausage and bacon and eggs cooked nicely. A bit strange ordering all you can eat but the service was ok, we did wait a little bit when it got busier. The continental breakfast is quite basic but nice enough.
Ich hatte ein ribeye-steak mit Gemüse und einen Rotwein ,nach Empfehlung des Kellners. Beides war absolut Klasse.

Bonne atmosphere. Chaque soir il y a un groupe de musiciens qui chante en live des morceaux de musique des années 80/90. Nourriture convenable sans ambition. Par contre le prix des vins pratiqué dans ce genre d'établissement sont très cher.
Un petit restaurant sans prétention accolé à l'hôtel. Service rapide produits maison rapport/qualité prix raisonnable. Service souriant et aimable. Belle surprise !
Très beau pub avec de plusieurs salles, cours ou terrasse pourboire 1 verre ou manger. Des concerts de jazz s y passent mais je n y ai pas assisté

It's an absolute authentic Italian restaurant. Food is even better than what we have in Italy last month. The ravioli surprised us a lot, it's look couldn't tell how great it taste. Maria is an amazing host and thank you so much for surprising my friend with the birthday bell and song!
