After seeing other great reviews we decided to book the cowshed as we love our steak. We were staying down the road at the ropewalks hotel so easy walking distance. Had the greedy cow and it did not disappoint. Service could have been a bit quicker but could see the staff had to keep going up and down the stairs for everything as it's set over several floors. Steak cooked perfectly, medium rare.

14 of us for my nieces birthday, the gentleman who served us was friendly, polite and chatty. My meal was forgotten and they were so apologetic and it arrived within 5 minutes. Food was lovely and quick to arrive

After our walk, we decided to grab lunch. We ordered the seafood pasta and the steak sandwich. Unfortunately, both dishes were quite disappointing. The seafood pasta lacked flavor and had a very fishy taste. Also, it did not come with mussels like said. The steak sandwich severely lacked in steak, we felt a bit short changed. The service was also disappointingly slow. However, the interior was nice and full of character. Overall, while it was nice to try, we definitely would not go back.

Everything is so good..,.... really enjoyed. Staff is so good.
How can I point out one thing every thing is Great.
Starter of prawns sensational. Chateaubriand sharing fillet steak cooked to perfection. Service fab, staff very attentive and professional.
We came across restaurant by accident. It is 5 Star! Delighted with our experience. Complimentary Limoncello a lovely gesture. Will definitely be back !
Great food and lunch time menu. Really enjoyed the steak and it was brilliant value for money. Service was excellent and friendly. Would definitely visit again. Thank you 😊
Awesome food for affordable prices. Staff was awesome and helpfull.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff nice decor. Rump steak and chips. Rump on the chewy side, so was partners. Chips lovely. Dinned at around 4 ish so it was quiet. Paid £60 for food and drinks.
Have been eager to try Hawksmoor but was waiting for an offer/special occasion. With Liverpool Restaurant week they were doing a snack, a cocktail (sharpener), a main and dessert for £35 so felt it was too good an opportunity to miss.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, very stylish and the staff are all very knowledgeable and efficient.

Had a Ps & Qs Sharpener before our snack arrived which was lovely and refreshing. The Ox Cheek Nuggets were crispy and full of flavour aided by a spicy tomato sauce on top.

Had the potted beef with yorkshire puddings for a starter which was wonderfully presented and excellent both in flavour and size. My friend had a smoked mackerel salad that was delicious. The smoked flavour mixed with the fresh tangy sauce was great.

Steak was really well cooked, lovely cut and the accompanying chips and salad were great. Peppercorn sauce was shared and was just enough for two.

Sticky Toffee Sundae for pudding could of been a little warmer but that was my only real criticism of the evening.

Definitely not one for the fainthearted price wise when there isn't a deal on (wine starts at £40) but a great choice for a special occasion or if you're minted.
Staff were wonderfully helpful and polite but the food was a little disappointing. No one even mentioned what level the meat was cooked too. Sometimes it was blue sometimes it was overly well done. The salad bar was lovely but no one was stirring the food so for example the mash developed a hard layer under the heat light. The meat needed seasonings. The pineapple cinnamon was to die for though it saved the meal
My husband and I have come here a couple of times now and have enjoyed our experience every single time. We would highly recommend this place and it’s definitely worth your money. All the meat is cooked to perfection and you can even request the meat be cooked how you would like. The salad bar has loads of different options to try and the food is always fresh. All of their drinks and desserts are always really good as well. But what made our experience 5 stars was our server Abraham who was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. So definitely give this place a try you won’t regret it!
I came here with my sister in search of some delicious food & we were not disappointed! We both had a rodizio especial, which was £28.95 and a pint of Coke. The especial allowed you to have 1 serving of up to 7 different meats, including lamb and steak. They also offered a full rodizio, which was £38.95, and allowed you to have unlimited servings of all the meats on offer. They both included unlimited trips to the salad bar, which included chips, sautéed potatoes, garlic mash, salad, rice, and much more! The food was absolutely amazing and the meat was brought round on a regular basis, although you could turn your traffic light to red to say you didn't want any more, until you turn it back to green! The service was great and it was quite busy for a Wednesday evening! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!
Good old establishment same old decor adds to the experience great steaks reasonably priced.
We came with high expectations (it was recommended by a local) but left disappointed. There were five of us. All the steaks were dry and fibrous (just lacking that silky mouth feel of a good steak). The steaks were over done with requested medium-rare being delivered medium or worse (sent one back and the replacement was slightly better). The side of potatoes was drenched in an undescribable yellow sauce that was tasteless. And apparently two people cannot share a steak - you have to order your own portion (so we ended up with an expensive 800g steak of which we took home half and it ended up in eggs for breakfast the next day). The wines available by the glass were passable.

omg food and service were amazing. Best steak I have had in ages!!! 100% recommended for all to try
Since relocating from Chicago to London, we have encountered difficulties in locating a reputable steakhouse. Subsequently, we reached the conclusion that the United Kingdom predominantly favors chicken and lamb as opposed to beef. However, our first assumption was incorrect. This restaurant offers some of the highest quality steak available. As an enthusiast of steak, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a medium rare fillet and it was cooked flawlessly. Perfect crust on the outside, while the interior is pink, tender, and succulent. The hospitality and warmth of the staff members was exceptional. My daughter experienced a mild cough and was unable to consume any drinks. However, she was provided with a ginger-infused drink, which she thoroughly relished. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Our food was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly. We got scallops, ribeye, potatoes, spinach, and sticky toffee pudding. Our steak was very delicious and seasoned well. The sticky toffee pudding was really tasty but we substituted the clotted cream with salted Carmel ice cream which was a match made in heaven.
It's been about 10 years since I was last here and wanted to try again after spending all our Rodizio time in Fazenda!
I would recommend you go to Fazenda.
The 3 stars was entirely for our Waiter, Mohammed who was fab!
Lunch time salad selection was poor compared to other restaurants of same cuisine.
Some of the meats were really sinewy. I ordered peppercorn sauce but beef gravy came to me instead so I raised the issue and the sauce was brought back out with crushed pepper on top! 🤦🏼‍♀️
When I sent it back, they told me it was their version...it was NOT peppercorn sauce. I felt like I was being unreasonable
The plates are also really small here and you are given just one whereas in other restaurants you can get extra side plates for the salad bar.
It's falling behind in my opinion. 5mins in the opposite direction to Fazenda.
Visited Gaucho for the first time in a long time, and had forgotten how good it was. Craig, our server, was extremely well versed in the cuts of meat and wine choices, (around 200 to choose from, I believe ). Always fillet for me, and rump for hubby and our son, who was celebrating his 21st birthday. Food was excellent and wine choice on point. A celebratory cheesecake with a birthday message was a lovely touch too. Will definitely be returning much sooner next time. It’s obvious the staff all work as a team, and enjoy their workplace 👌highly recommend a lemon cocktail but can’t remember the name of it 🤦‍♀️ oops 😂
We came to Hawksmoor to have a proper Sunday Roast as a treat for my friends birthday weekend away, and we were not disappointed. Staff are so lovely, and the surroundings are fab, so lovely and plush but quirky! I had oysters with a pint of Guinness to start as I have never tried them, they were absolutely delicious! And the roast beef with all the trimmings was perfect. A huge fluffy Yorkshire pudding.. the gravy.. the stuffing.. all amazing. I barely had room for (but DID make room for) a divine bread and butter pudding with rum custard. So enjoyable, and felt very special for the birthday celebrations. Thanks so much!
We have wanted to eat here for a long time and as it was Easter, we decided to treat ourselves.

The staff are wonderful and really helpful. One of our party has allergies and the member of staff took a lot of time to run through the menu explaining how things were cooked etc. And what would be suitable.

We didn't have starters as we wanted to leave plenty of room for the mains and it was a wise choice! Although I did have pudding.

The food is exceptional and combined with the service and ambience, this is definitely somewhere we will be visiting in the future.
The restaurant atmosphere is exquisite and elegant. The service was amazing, our waitress made sure that everything was to our taste. The food well.... one of the best meats I have tasted here in the UK. The say you pay for what you get well, Gauchos is worth every penny
Starter so hot could hardly eat them. So the scallops had little taste. Steak was excellent. Portion of chips , yip not going to say fries was on the frugal side. Creamed spinach was tasty. No draught ales disappointing for a top restaurant of that size. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding. You cant go wrong. Staff , Patrick in particular was very amiable. Overall is it worth the hype. Not so sure.
Came here as a celebration meal and was not disappointed. Gavin was a great host and waiter. His service was friendly and warm without being over bearing or pushy. He was very well informed, talking us through the menu and also sharing some personal favourites and recommendations. We went for the sharing prime rib and an array of sides. The buttered greens (hispi cabbage) were very tasty and the beef dripping chips were great. I wasn't a fan of the macaroni but it was a personal taste not a poor quality product. And the creamed spinach was a little bit too fine in the cut. However the rib of beef was delicious, cooked as recommended it came out medium and had a fantastic flavour. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream and my partner had a flat white to finish. Both were good. We were intrigued by the salted caramel rolos but were too stuffed to try them. Could not recommend this place highly enough. The atmosphere ticked over without having a buzz or being overly busy but it was after 7.30 on a Thursday evening so I was not surprised.
Wonderful family meal at Gaucho. Friendly and professional service from the meet and greet at the door right through to our goodbyes. Delicious starters, mains and desserts.
Booked this restaurant for Mother's Day and I'm so glad I did. The whole family really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the authenticity of the venue.
.
Located towards the to of Bold Street, near the church, the venue is in an excellent location and is competing with several other excellent restaurants that make Bold Street a real treat for foodies. There really is something for everyone and in my opinion it's one of the best streets in Liverpool.
.
On entering the restaurant we were greeted and seated and I immediately got the impression that the staff are professional restauranteurs with a passion for good hospitality.
.
The menu is vast but nothing complicated and the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the dishes and the cooking methods. Bring a meat house, steak is of course a big feature of the menu, however, there were plenty of alternatives to choose from too.
.
The beer on tap was great and the wine list catered for all tastes and budgets.
.
My youngest dined from the kids menu which was exceptionally reasonable and almost as large as an adult portion. Totally suited to older children as well as little ones. My meal was super and I really enjoyed the chicken and lamb kebab. It was perfectly cooked and really tasty. My wife and son both had steaks and loved them - had my kebab not been so tasty I would have been pretty envious.
.
In summary, I will definitely return and hope this is not in the distant future. One tip - we booked and I think this is essential. The restaurant was very quickly at full capacity and I can understand why.

Went for brunch with a friend, place looks quite interesting, halal food available.
We had a ginger beet and one passion smoothie, which were OK, we also had calamari and wagyu sliders for starters, both were very nice.
For the mains we decided on lobster ravioli and seafood tagliatelle, greatly disappointed, I wish they had charged more but actually given me lobster ravioli!!!
Half the ravioli was just empty pasta and the sauce was very creamy so overall just not a nice flavour and a waste of £15, I would have paid more if it actually tasted like lobster.
The same with the seafood tagliatelle, we searched and searched for seafood and found a mussel and some prawns.
Overall good start but disappointing mains.
Food (5/5)
The fillet tail was amazing—very tender with no connective tissues. Probably the best steak I’ve had in a long while!

I also liked the variety of choices there.

Service (4.5/5)
They brought out all the different cuts of beef on a platter to explain their differences, which was very nice and helpful. The service was also very fast (when it comes to taking your order, getting food out on your table, and noticing that you’re done. However, it did slow down a bit after the main course, and I had to wait a while for the waiter to come take my dessert order and for the dessert to come out.

Environment:
Very cool layout and decor. Nice bathrooms too—I cannot express how much I appreciated the foot-operated door opener attachment, being someone with ocd.
This was a random stop for lunch whilst we were on a trip to Liverpool. The service was excellent from walking in the door to leaving. Absolutely loved the food. The beef rib tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever had. My partner loved her dish as well which was a creamy chicken breast. I would 100% go back and recommend this place.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hawksmoor Liverpool for the first time, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience thanks to the exceptional service provided by Lily, our waitress. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, Lily greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile, making us feel right at home.

As it happened to be both of our birthdays, Lily went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was truly special. She patiently guided us through the menu, offering valuable recommendations and insights to help us make the perfect choices. Upon her suggestion, we indulged in the lobster and baked oysters in bone marrow, and let me tell you, they were absolute showstoppers! Cooked to perfection, each bite was a burst of flavor and delight.

What truly impressed me was Lily's dedication to ensuring our satisfaction. When my friend expressed a desire for something not currently available on the menu, Lily didn't hesitate to spring into action. She went the extra mile, literally running to the shop to procure the requested item in time for our starters. Her commitment to providing exceptional service was evident in every interaction we had with her.

Thanks to Lily's attentive and personalized service, our dining experience at Hawksmoor Liverpool exceeded all expectations. Her passion for her craft and genuine care for her guests truly shone through, making us feel like valued patrons. Without a doubt, Lily is an exceptional asset to the restaurant, and her outstanding service has left a lasting impression on us.

I cannot recommend Hawksmoor Liverpool highly enough, and it's all thanks to Lily. Her dedication to ensuring a memorable dining experience has earned not only our loyalty but also our heartfelt praise. We will definitely be returning and will be sure to spread the word to all our friends and family about the phenomenal service we received. Thank you, Lily, for making our visit truly unforgettable!

I visited this restaurant last Saturday with my daughter for brunch. She had waffles, and the presentation was fabulous, though too much maple syrup on the waffles.
I enjoyed my English breakfast, love loved my sausage.

Food is really good here and the prices are awesome so it’s always very busy and can take some time to get a table.
What an excellent experience, three Sunday roasts and a ribeye steak. Correctly cooked and fantastic sides. Loved the mac cheese, and whilst the flavour was stunning I didn't particularly like the texture of the grilled marrow bone, however I have tried it and if that floats your boat crack on.
The waiter Jake went above and beyond as we were belatedly celebrating a birthday and they do not have draught beers, he nipped over to the local and bought us two pints of Guinness. Stand out man, he will go far. The rest of the wait staff were also very good.

A true gem in Edinburgh! This is a beautiful location with excellent food and service. The steaks were cooked perfectly, food well-seasoned, and wine selection was great. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The owner was also very friendly and kind. You could tell he truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the restaurant had a fabulous experience. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Lovely unassuming place with great value on the plate. Steak cooked to perfection and as requested. Beautiful sauces, mushrooms was my favourite. Overall a positive experience.
Fantastic find, amazing food and excellent service, staff very friendly. Small menu but very well cooked. We had the greedy cow, plenty for 2 people, nice bottle of wine. Will definitely be going back when in Liverpool
A pleasant find on a day out. Bit old fashioned maybe for the younger generation but suited us fine as we were able to have a conversation without having to shout. And the music was excellent 👌
The whole experience was fantastic. First class service, every dish was perfect and delicious I honestly couldn’t fault it. We had the beef and bacon Yorkshire/ crab toast to start and steaks for mains. Steak was first class cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful and all the sides also. The waiter was excellent and yes it very expensive but it was worth it.
Service, setting and succulent steak!

Second visit and I forgot how good it is.

The service is fantastic, the hosts aren't pushy and the advice is great.

I usually have my steaks blue / rare but as they are done on charcoal I was advised to have medium rare as it would be crisp on the outside and rare on the inner. The cuts were amazing and I'd highly reccomended the fillet! Check that photo!

Highly recommended 👌 👍 👏

This was an excellent experience. We went here on a Friday night to celebrate a 30th birthday. The food was priced reasonably and was very tasty. It came out quickly. The staff very kindly brought out complimentary ice cream and birthday shots which was very much appreciated. I’d definitely come back here!
I was visiting Liverpool for the first time, and my husband booked the Cowshed. It was phenomenal - best steak I've ever had. I can't wait to go back in the future. Or even better if they open a restaurant in the northeast.
Absolutely amazing. Impeccable service, exceptional food, all the dishes tasted amazing and the staff was extremely friendly and has fully explained everything when we had questions or queries. Extremely attentive and always ready to help. The prices might look high when originally seeing the menu however they portions and the taste are amazing so it is well worth every single penny.
Wonderful experience.

Communicated in advance and asked about dining there with two young children. While they don't have a kids menu, there was no problem sharing meals, which they totally lived up to in our experience there.

My wife had the Sunday roast which she really enjoyed. My son and I enjoyed a really nice steak, while my youngest was very happy with his makeshift sandwich of bread and bacon.

We loved the sticky toffee pudding!

Finally, the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. We would be very happy to come again in the future.
It was our 5th wedding anniversary and we were excited to find a place without the reservations hazard and a place serving halal food. The food, staff and everything was on point. We ordered king platter and it was amazing, so tender and juicy. They treated us cake with candles to make it more memorable on the house. Wll defo. Visit again.

Amazing food, excellent service.
We’ve been there on Christmas Day. Instead of having lunch at the hotel we were looking for somewhere else to eat. I know we had to book in advance but we didn’t. Luckily we found that place. Everything was amazing food, wine, deserts the people. I can’t recommend more. If we visit Edinburgh again, we are definitely going back there. To be honest i looked for directions to see if there is another restaurant like this in the uk.
We were here just before Christmas for my birthday. Had a fantastic steak on the recommendation of our waiter. They even made me a Mudslide cocktail. Loved the decor and the ambience of the restaurant. We shall be back when next in Edinburgh.
Everything was perfect from start to finish. We went for pre-theatre dining & were very pleasantly surprised to find that there is an early bird dining offer. The smoked mackerel , fillet tail followed by passion fruit cheesecake were all delicious. The size of the steak in this deal was perfect for early evening dining. My partner loved her potted beef with Yorkshire starter rump steak & the same cheesecake.
All of the staff were friendly & helpful. The surroundings & ambience make the hawksmoor a very special place to eat.

Steak, fries and spinach were on point, so delicious! The team was so nice and obliging. We would definitely come back. Food came very quick.
We visited Hawksmoor on a Friday evening and could not fault it whatsoever. Our waiter specifically, unfortunately didn’t get his name, looked after us amazingly. Our drinks took a short while (we’ve waited longer in other restaurants) and he was straight over apologising and taking them off our bill. He made sure we understood the menu, and recommended sides with the dishes we had. My partner was recommended the bone marrow gravy which he had and it was exceptional. Our food, the scallops, salmon, wellington and fillet were all amazing, could not fault them. Overall an amazing evening, lots of staff to help, busy, good atmosphere and our waiter made it a lovely evening for us. Will definitely be back and recommending it.
Wow wow wow!!! I brought my mom(from South Africa) to Edinburgh for 2days and we craved steak on our 2nd night, so I found this BEAUT around the corner from where we stayed. From the calamari starter, the chimichurri side, to the sauces, the wine... everything was just amazing. Our steaks were cooked beautifully, rare, and was SO soft. We went for the ribeye. The service was amazing, our waiters were so friendly and helpful, and passionate about their customers leaving happy. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. I wish it was closer to home(Gloucestershire)
Thank you for a fantastic night!
Amazing place for steak, cooked to perfection.
We had the sharing platter for two of ribeye, rump and flat iron.
Both peppercorn and bbq sauce was lovely and paired the steak and fries nicely.

Will definitely be back and recommend to other to have a try.

Outstanding food, steak cooked perfectly! Amazing atmosphere with friendly attentive staff and owners. So impressed on our 1st visit that we returned again, even though we were only in Bournemouth for the weekend! Will definitely visit again.
I celebrated my 50th two days ago, and it was a night to remember, not only of my 3 perfect kids, but the restaurant. It is exquisite, food excellent, the service great. I felt respected, celebrated, and happy. The lady on the picture who was serving us was very kind, competent, and really pleasant. Apologies for not remembering her name. The atmosphere was just the cherry on top of the cake for my birthday. Go there if you want to celebrate your personal or company holiday.
We used an itison deal which cost £68 for the spiral rib eye for two with two sides and two sauces. We also had a bottle of wine costing £50 ( one of the cheaper bottles on the wine list) and one cheese cake costing £10. We finished the meal with two expresso martini each costing £11. The food was great and the staff were really attentive. The total cost of the meal came to £185.01 less our £68 itison voucher. Bringing the bill down to £117.01 on the night. Not sure what the saving was using the itison voucher as I thought the whole meal was over priced.
The food is outstanding, with impeccable quality and service. The fresh ingredients and attention to detail make each dish a delight. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the dining experience. The ambiance and presentation add to the overall appeal, making this restaurant a must-visit for steak lovers.
Was amazed at how professional their services was. Kept asking about our preference and if everything was OK. One of the staff even went in to take a nicer meat for me as I was busy snapping photos. Ordered the full rodizio and had all of the meat options on the menu.
Meat was juicy and well marinated. Had a variation of things at the salad bar too.
You will definitely love the cinnamon pineapple 🍍!
I've eaten at Michelin restaurants with dress codes and waiting lists that don't come close to the meal I had here today.
They have a butcher's counter in the restaurant where the meat is prepared to order, so it can't get much more fresh.
Anyone who likes steak simply must visit Bournemouth Steak House.
牛排非常新鮮好吃!非常推薦!真的超好吃!😋 老闆是希臘人但是在英國出生長大,老闆人超好!我度過了一個很棒的夜晚,我一定會再來!
We went for a birthday meal it was a really busy Saturday night and it was amazing. Best steak I have ever tasted. Comments on other reviews about ‘like a hot knife cutting through butter’ were spot on. It’s a classic steak restaurant which offers a wide range of food and drink and it’s excellent value for money. We will definitely be back.
Well, I would never have believed it until I went. Jeez, those steaks are tasty as hell, well cook and good value to boot. Just go. Although miss when a Stag Do of 20 blokes are there, but they were they are the brilliant steaks. I asked if I could have the T-Bone steak and two lamb chops. They said yes. Everyone laughed as if I couldn’t finish it. Hell yeah. Bloody lovely.
Nettes Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, super Getränke, große Auswahl, Preise passen. Was will man mehr für ein Abend essen? :)

Dazu freundlicher Service. Perfekt für den ersten Abend in London!
Stolze Preise, Frühstück zu 2 gute 30 Euro los. Alles in allem gut, lecker, tolles Ambiente. War ein schöner Start in das London Weekend.
