This place was recently renovated and atmosphere is nice.
Tried the tea and mee rebus. The tea was fine but not sure if they used the same tea leaves as before. The taste of the mee rebus gravy was great, noodles and tofu nicely cooked, the only problem was the roots of the beansprouts were not removed before cooking !! I recall lime was served for mee siam but not for mee rebus, interesting. The plating for the mee rebus had changed to bowls which is not the usual way of serving this dish. It is usually served with plates with a wider shallow depression. This makes it easier to eat with the fork and spoon.

The lady at the counter served me the wrong drink and even reasoned that it was my fault. I clearly told her my order so she has to change it with a long face. After she changed the drink, she did not even call me and instead I was the one who moved forward to get it so she doesn’t have to bother at all. To think there was no other customer at that time. She looked like she was in a foul mood before but she shouldn’t be rude to the customer.
Good food & drink but a big no to the customer service.

We used to love the KFC here because food is good and fresh. However in the past couple of months, we have experience bad services from the staffs and waiting time is at least 1/2 an hour. Very very slow and staffs are rude. This management team is lousy.

Decided to try this place with my family after reading the reviews. It was a rainy Saturday morning - the place was filled and we waited just a bit for a table. We ordered the usual kosong, egg and cheese pratas.

I like the crispy on the outside and doughy inside kind of prata - and their pratas are like that. Nice curry, hot prata - perfect for a rainy morning. Got to say that the Milo iced was very good also. Most places I been to made it too watery - they got this just right.

Friendly staff - even apologized for not splitting the prata correctly amongst us 4 people. Will definitely include this place as a breakfast prata place to visit in the future.

After renovation, it is open now, (flowers display) it is always buzzing even during off-peak hours.
It is very near the carpark and laundry area, convenient to grab a bite while waiting for the laundromat to complete.

Enaq Prata: A Crispy Delight

Enaq Prata lived up to its reputation for crispy perfection! The plain prata was a standout - incredibly crisp on the outside with a fluffy, layered interior. It was a delightful contrast of textures.
However, I do find it a bit oilier than the traditional prata.

The Dahl curry was a classic accompaniment, providing a comforting warmth and a nice balance to the crispy prata. It was flavorful without being overpowering.

The teh tarik was strong and sweet, a perfect beverage to wash down the meal.

Overall, a satisfying prata experience.

Had a great breakfast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast! The kaya toast was crispy and delicious, and the coffee hit the spot. What really stood out was the helpful uncle who noticed I was finished and proactively helped me return the sauce, pepper and tray. Such thoughtful service made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

We visited today morning (18 August 2024 at about 11am). I understand the outlet was packed and the turnover of tables quite frequent. I am disappointed with the fact that in the hot honey lemon, the honey was non existent. We choose this place over coffee bean next door to enjoy local delights. Much to our disappointment!

Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade is my go to drink ever since it was launched. 1st time tasting this bad. I waited a good amount of time but it's came tasteless..it felt like I spent $8 for mineral water.

Then I notice something - one man to sort the food for dine in and take away? They should be able to call in staff from other outlets

Angry people shouting around at staff is indeed not the right thing to do. Not helping when the staff also got angry and argue back

They should have the option to cancel order for refund....i would have refunded and gone to McD across the street instead.

Service getting poorer and poorer, because staff are getting more rude. I don’t feel like patronising this store anymore because in my various visits I kept meeting a different staff being rude to me. For example, the cashier didn’t give me my buzzer and I asked for it but another staff just screamed at me. No respect given to customers even if they are regulars. It will be wise to improve service standards because I have seen one staff asked for her employee number by an angry customer who wanted to email a complaint to their management.

I am always happy to eat at Mr Teh Tarik @ Khatib but I dislike ordering from the 2 Msian ladies operating the stall that sells butter chicken rice. Why can’t they be perky and friendly like the other Mr Teh Tarik staff? Thumbs down for their (lack of) customer service 👎

Enaq is not a traditional Indian prata shop. Owners are Chinese while the cook are Indians, even though the dishes remains Indian, the taste are not. I usually ordered the original prata without egg and eat it with sugar. The original prata are more doughy, thicker and more crispy than the traditional Indian style prata. As the prata are more like being fried in more oil than the traditional prata. Good for these who likes their prata crispy, but these who prefers the lighter airy type of traditional prata might not like.
This time I ordered the plaster prata which is prata with a sunny side up on top. The yolk are runny and are like liquid gold flowing out as I cut into the egg. The yolk coats the prata hence it will not be as crispy if you eat slow. The mee goreng got a bit of wok hei, and the portion is quite big.
All the prata are served with fish curry sauce, Dahl curry and sambal. Personally I find the sambal abit too salty
The Kothu prata are prata which are shredded and then fried like guo tiao with eggs and onion. It tastes like the non sweet version of fried guo tiao, with mild hint of spices, curry powder and curry leaves taste. Fish curry sauce are given on the side to eat with kothu prata. This is definitely a dish for sharing between at least 3 pax cos it is already super overwhelming for the 2 of us. Maybe also cos we ordered mee goreng and plaster prata. Teh tarik and kopi are not bad - the sweeter version. Service is friendly and they can be attentive, likes some of our visits, we ordered just 2 plain pratas for sharing. They saw that there are 2 of us and will always auto serve the pratas on 2 plates - 1 prata on each plate. 5 stars for the service.

Super yummy and spicy ayam penyet! Can try their ice teh tarik as well. Lower point to service as their roasted chicken was cold.

The services towards the customers were very bad. The way they responded to customers request was rude. The food was good 5 years ago but now the taste was slacking off.

The 2 Malaysian ladies is totally not a service person. Always moody, bz with their hp.
Ordered 1 beef frued rice, spicy. 1 chicken fried rice, no spicy. No chilli at all, supposed to check when i rec'd the food, as its not bz, i tot its vy rare to make mistake, but I'm wrong. When ask for cili padi, the ans is, " no cili padi".
I'm quite regular there, day or nite, they gonna ans the same. Gd mood, then u will get the cili padi. Every single order is entitle for 1 small pack of cili padi in every restaurant in sg. Their neighbour selling fish soup is a gd example, always prepare to give cust the cili padi. And those men are really from service industry with positive customer service. My last trip to this goreng2 shop!!!
Mr Teh Tarik, look at ur business, maybe others will come and try, thats their first n last as well. There's a say, upay peanut and got monkey.

The kaya pandan muffin was taste less which was disappointing. I ordered set an and got my eggs and coffee instantly but had to wait around 20 minutes for my toast which was very disappointing because my eggs went cold.

I only ordered a cup of milo and a pack of French fries here today. I do not have much to comment on the food.
The environment is okay; there are many seats with modern designs. It's a good place to chit-chat and bring a kid over. The only thing today is the air-conditioning. Is it too weak or too hot?

Happen to drop by this outlet for a quick breakfast before work around the area. Ya Kun brand's standard is so consistent - even throughout their outlets. 👍 One of the main reasons why Ya Kun is my prefer if not number one choice for breakfast or snack of kopi☕, toast 🥪 and soft-boiled eggs. 🥚🥚

Great pratas with kopitiam atmosphere. The hot dog cheese prata is a must-try.

While I am never a fan of Toast Box food items, I admired their sensitivity to the food trend, having tried their 'new' items - Seseme Butter toast & Red Bean Butter Toast recently. Personally I prefer the red bean butter toast, seseme & butter don't seems to blend well with the saltiness of the butter dominating the entire taste profile.

Yummy laksa yong tau foo . Reasonable pricing. Pretty compact eatery with yummy chicken rice, western food, famous mushroom meepok noodle, indian food, fish soup, prawn noodles, roast meats, kway chap , zichar, mala xiang guo, nasi lemak n noodles, cold n hot desserts, drink stalls available. Peanut pancake available in the morning and early afternoons too. Recommended haunt if u are in Bishan North area.

Quality food , friendly staff , chill & pleasant ambiance. What else can I say , been coming to this outlet for a good decade . The food here always hits , would always recommend for a nice dinner , supper sport

This is d place to go for good ole bryani..I had mutton bryani n my better half had curry fish head for brunch..it's a good deal, good food n good environment..all in one..definitely won't b d last time here for me..

I understand that its halal and that you cant use pork in minced meat noodles but its bad beyond belief. Noodles was bad and the minced "meat" was doughy and uncooked

The best bihun and fried chicken ever!!! The briyani is also awesome, very huge portiom for 1 person to eat. Again get thier froed chicken! And the chicken masala.. solid i tell u

Unique prata texture, different from the traditional prata. Enaq's cheese prata was really delicious and crispy. Almost taste like a deep fried crepe!! Haha. The fish curry was really flavourful. I preferred the fish curry over the sambal and enjoyment meal here. Teh halia is nice too.

Similar to other eating houses in Bishan North, this coffeeshop has been invaded by pigeons which eat food scraps from the floor and blatantly enter stalls. Extremely dirty and unhygienic

Cashier lady seemed not happy to work on Sunday. She sounded agitated.
Cleaner lady was very gracious. Even though old, she worked diligently and pleasantly.
Seating space was more than sufficient.
Must eat- kaya toast bread. It never fails.
Wait time was less than 5 minutes.
Bread would come last. They will display your queue number. And then anybody can collect the bread left at collection point. So, wrong person may pick it and the correct diner may feel upset.
Better system can be worked.
Half boiled eggs are opened and served. Thus, you must consume quickly before it gets cold under the aircon.
Please tell the cashier lady to smile.
We will come back. For sure.

Prata was very nice, drinks are a bit too sweet to my liking even I order "siew dai". Mee goreng not bad too. The curry for prata can be better.
The only downside is that aircon does not seem like working and space too small.

Ordered steam bread and kaya toast, then came bck in ~15 mins to look for my order, the cashier staff told me that because i came late then asked me to wait, meaning they gave my order to other customers just because i missed my order number? Is it reali work that way? They also never check for order and just gave me my incomplete order after i waited, i told them my order is nt complete then one of the aunty sounds very unfriendly like i did sth wrong? Such unprofessional service and unsystematic management

I visited Toast Box (JP) for dinner at about 745pm. We ordered curry chicken set and laksa. The food was promptly served with little waiting time. In terms of quality, it met our expectations.

Contrary to other complainants, I think the staff at the counter were friendly and executed their job well.

Had been patronising them since day 1 they opened at JP. Service is not consistent at this branch, depending on who the cashier was, who the drink maker was on that day. Today, the cashier seemed lost and needed to keep on repeating my order as if she was not listening and unsure. The service overall was on most occasions NOT friendly, no smiles but only black faces. I ever encountered very lousy customer service from the kopi auntie who assumed the drink I ordered, added more hot water into my kopi C when I requested for more evaporated milk due to the bitterness. She even showed bad attitude and argued with me when I asked for more milk instead of water. That staff needed training very badly! Today, the ikan bilis and crackers served in the nasi lemak were chewy and not crispy. The staff should maintain their freshness in airtight containers. Prawn thick bee hoon was kinda tasteless though the prawns were pretty fresh. The kaya toast were not well toasted, looked unappetising and not crispy too. Can the HQ take a good look and find out what is going on with your HQ branch's standards???

I’m sorry what???? Purchased set A, waited patiently for the drink and egg to be made. Returned to my seat with a buzzer… waiting for the toast to be done - normally the toast takes some time to be made and i understand……. but after 20 minutes i decided to check with the staff…… all the staff said was an ‘oh’. So… they forgot 🙃 Very bad service staff attitude and they’re not even apologetic so that makes things 10x worst. Also the toast came cold. How did that even happen 🙁

I really love yakun and after patronising so many other of their stores.. this has got to be the worst experience for me. 😵‍💫

Staff taking order very rude. I request not to put sauce n cucumber in my mee goreng but he says he doesnt understand my request and just walk off. Of course he is not the cook. Just want him to relay to the cook. Very rude n no wonder the other indian muslim businesses nearby overtook them though syed is there for decades.

I came here four years ago when on vacation and now living here I've gone again many times. It is the same delicious curry and prata as four years ago, consistent deliciousness. Even when there is a line it's pretty quick. I'm vegan and I'm so happy to have found something here to have!

Staff are still nice.
HOWEVER, the table we chose was next to the cupboard and they had to access it which was quite annoying. They also seemed to have done away with straws?? Toast Box used to be one of the last nice ones that provided straws. At least they had some tissue this time......

Bought my Dry chilli with beef rice at the Tze Zhar shop to take away. Only a few bites in, found cockroach in my food.
Ordered the kailan as well from same shop. Quality is not freah. Vege is pale in colour with many holes in the leaf.
Food quality is poor.
Food from the other stalls were all okay.
