I have been with this surgery all my life. The service gets worse as each year passes.
I would be very interested to know how many appointments the doctors actually take a day, considering at 8.45 and being 8th in the queue from 8.30 theres no appointments left? The staff are incredibly rude on the phone and ignore you when you're in the surgery itself. I stood one day for almost 5 minutes at the counter while they were having a chat which I may add was nothing to do with work, then they finally decide to acknowledge you by just glaring at you, not even a hello or can I help you? Almost as if you're a nuisance for being there.
I feel sorry for anyone who is coming in here and this service would be their only social interaction of the day.
I would move but unfortunately it seems to be the case at other surgerys aswell.

Definitely one of the worst. Prescriptions usually not processed, phones never answered, and a message saying that the surgery will open again on 27 December. IT'S EASTER!

Yet again I tried from 8 28 to get through to Springhill Surgery , this is after calling up on Friday morning to request phone call unsuccessful yet again. Told on Friday to go to the Pharmacy which I did for the 2nd time. Also told me to go to out of hours Details of Practice on Website but no contact numbers for practice manager or Reception Manager.
Totally unsatisfactory service and the receptionist on Friday was totally unhelpful. I have been in before and the other receptionist (who was showing a maintenance man around) was very helpful and genuinely caring.
Update I managed to get through to the Priory Surgery in Holywood and spoke to a very helpful receptionist who said she works between Bangor and Holywood. She arranged to slot me in for an emergency phone call spoke to a lovely Doctor and finally this afternoon got my required prescription which was emailed from Priory Holywood this morning

Disgraceful service. Even a one star review on here is way too generous.
Unfortunately i cant give 0 stars or give a minus multiple stars review.
Anyway, i was on hold waiting for over an hour listening to the same inane recorded message over and over every 12 seconds, (a grand total of 318 times)(I got bored) only to be told that all appointments are gone for today and i could ring back on Monday and try again🙄 or that she would be able to get the doctor to ring me in ???? 4 weeks time. Marvellous🙄
The only positive thing is that was able to let me know that it would be an afternoon call.
Some heads need a bouncing in this excuse of a surgery.

I like the staff at the surgery, they're lovely. I like the phone appointments, a lot can be dealt with over the phone without coming into the surgery, however the booking system is really exhausting for patients, and I'm sure for the staff as well. Even if you land at 14 in the phone queue when you call at 8.30 you could be waiting for an hour only to be told there are no appointments left for that day and to call back and do it all again tomorrow. And if you don't call at 8.30am on the dot, you're definitely not getting an appointment - if it's 8.31 when you go to call, then don't bother. Something desperately needs to change - maybe an upgrade on the website to allow patients to request a call back online. Or in my case, I needed to talk about increasing my dosage; is this not something that can be requested and reviewed by the Dr through an online portal? I don't know what the solution is, but the current system is not working.

They turn off their phone system just because they couldn't be bothered doing their job. We pay for a service and we don't even receive it.
