We’re driving around searching for the hotel I want to book from Agoda. I was not about to confirm the booking since my husband wants to see the place, until we passed by in this area.It captured to his attention on this “Hof” since he is German.We get in and right away confirmed that we will be staying here for 2 days. We paid for the room $88/night.
Although this place has 250 steps down, but it’s laid back,exceeded to our expectation.
Service is great from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. Marjory is very attentive and accommodating ,serves us to feel like a king and queen😀😍! From documentation👉🤳📸.She was with us from day 1, breakfast to dinner assist in every way we need her!😍
Set up of the table was elegant that makes our stay wonderful, and that our advance wedding anniversary more memorable for just 2 days of stay.
Foods are delicious, I ordered Kinilaw and sinuglaw as I was craving for this in 5 years😋😋,to make a change and as I was longing for my home taste.
The resort on the other hand is very nice, it’s tropical and our porch/balcony is overlooking to see the bay…great place to unwind and relax. It’s very romantic and it’s quiet.
Swimming pool is not chlorinated, it’s spring that makes your swimming worry free from damaging your hair. It has bar pool but under renovation you can bring drinks but should not be glass, it’s not allowed. Great swimming we had just wish we had enough time to be in a pool, but we still need to go around the Island to see places.
Owner on the other hand is friendly. She entertain us and other guest.
Guest back then were picked up at Santa Ana port by boat to bring to this resort, but they’ve got entrance at the back if you have car. Port will collect fee of 250php if you want to bring car with driver and passenger included to this fee.
Overall experience in this hotel is over rated, it’s Excellent! We will be back here on our next vacation! Highly recommend!

I love the place. I enjoyed the stay and privacy we get. Tho the foods are really expensive. I hope they have cheaper options for those travelling on a budget. Love the ambiance and the design of the place.

I stayed there 14 years ago, i don't know how it is now but looking at recent reviews with pictures it brings back a lot of fun memories. It was my first time visiting the Philippines, and my now wife suggested we stay on Samal island. It was very inexpensive, we stayed in a stilted hut, had a personal assistant that would come when we rang a bell. He would set up dinner on the beach for us, bring us food from the main resort, arrange our travel excursions around the island (bat caves, waterfalls, motorbike tours around the island). Don't go there if you are the type of person that only stays is 5 star luxury hotels, this place is for people that like peace and quiet (we hardly seen anyone else the whole week we were there) and people that like nature up close and personal. There are a lot of steps to climb, so you better be in shape, which is great if you are a fitness buff.
