Go here please, you will probably be happy. Make sure to go there when the baby turtles hatch so you can release them to the sea or during the same season, see the mother turtles lay their eggs at night. The other reviews probably tell the dates. I believe it’s about $1 per hatchling. I ended up “donating” $20 to release 20 rubber-toy-looking-one-of-the-cutest baby animal in the world. “Donating” because it’s not really a donation, heck I would pay $5 per turtle just for the experience. So yeah give some extra, let’s save the turtles.

Save the Pawikan 🐢

We have chance to witnessed the life cycle of a Pawikan from the laying of eggs up to releasing it into the wild during our sea patrolling the shoreline of Morong Beach.

DID YOU KNOW ⁉️
✅ Pawikan is called Turtle and Pagong is called Turtoise
✅ Tortoises live entirely on land, while sea turtles live entirely in the water.
✅ After laying the eggs, the female sea turtle covers the nest with sand and returns to the ocean, leaving the eggs to hatch on their own.
✅ They have only one (1) percent of the released sea turtles is expected to survive into adulthood.
✅ Pawikan season starts from November up to February.

On a Friday morning we were at the Pawikan Conservation Center. We were given a very friendly welcome and a lot was explained to us about the life of the turtles and the work of the organization. We were then allowed to accompany two little Olive Redlay babies on their way into the sea, it was a very touching moment. Unfortunately, the breeding season only runs from December to mid-February, outside of this season you can't expect to see baby turtles. Regardless, the work of the organization is very, very important, and I particularly appeal to all Filipinos: keep your homeland clean and protect nature. Be proud of your country and the incredibly diverse nature. Preserve them!
