Avoid on weekends...it is packed full of people and they usually leave their garbage everywhere. Its sad how this nice looking park is abused with refuse.
You will also struggle to find parking on busy days. Some parents dont watch their kids, and they end up pushing / hurting other children on the playground.

Excellent park with plenty of activities for everyone. There’s a kiddie park, a newer park with a zip line, water & splash park for the summer, tennis court, covered picnic tables with bbq pits, plenty of parking, paved trails for a lovely walk and benches for you to relax and take in the views. If you walk up to the top of the mound/hill, you’ll get a great 360 view of the city. This hill also makes a great spot for tobogganing in the winter. A hidden gem in the NE.
