highly highly recommend this

no need to book with the tours - ask tricycles if they know a boatman who can take u down to siete pecados (for 300 pesos per head + separate pay for the tricycle depending on the pick up point). there will be many many corals, fishes etc throughout the conservation area & u can take your time swimming around, whereas on a tour time will be limited

we got lucky with the boatman kuya bobby who will swim with the group and bring u to the best spots, he can also take your underwater shots (some boatmen stay on the boat and will let u swim free n easy if u prefer that) he also knows what the fishes are called and told us about the ones that are beneficial to the corals. his boat has a see through screen down the middle which was a nice touch

we saw 2 sea turtles that he spotted from afar and many schools of fish, starfishes, etc. he also brought us to one of the islands / rock formations with a really small cave for some good shots. bring your snorkelling gear + maybe wear aqua shoes as there are sea urchins on the more shallow areas, but if you’re a good swimmer just avoid

overall not many tourists as most of them will be on the tours, so this is a real hidden gem that isn’t too pricey either

see the pics & look for kuya bobby - his boat is right next to his house so dont be scared if you’re led to a remote part of the dock LOL, he has a lifevest that u can all hold on to so he can lead the way + he reminds everyone to stay horizontal so u dont step on the corals. enjoy!

MUST DO in Coron!

You can't miss this. It's the most beautiful coral reef by far in the area (maybe even the country?). We saw a lot of different types of fish, including two sea turtles, barracudas, groupers, clown fish, and a lion fish.

Don't come with the tours offered in Coron Town, it's way too expensive and a worse experience. Take a tricycle to the Siete Pecados tourist information office, where you only have to pay 300 pesos per person for a 2 hour amazing snorkeling tour.

Our guide Benji was amazing. He pointed out many special fish we hadn't noticed, and provided us anti-fog spray for our goggles.

This was part of Tour B - Coral garden
Our tour Boat stopped in the middle of the ocean, 16 of us disembarked and formed a line where our tour guide was pulling us across this massive coral garden. You can clearly see the fishes and nice coral formations. There was only 1 other boat when we arrived, as tourists only spend usually 15mins here.

This is a real hidden gem! If you drive to the Siete Pecados Tourist Office you can book a tour for PHP 300 per person. This includes a captain/tour guide who will take you on a small boat (which only holds 2 persons) to the reef for 2 hours, life vests are included and snorkelling gear can be rented for an extra fee. There is no need for reservations, you can just show up and there is usually no waiting time. The trip to the reef takes about 5 minutes. Then the reef, it must be one of the most beautiful reefs you will ever see! It’s very rich in corals and there are many fish to see, if you have keen eyes you might even spot the clownfish. It is only about 1.5/2m deep so you can see everything in the crevices between the corals. Truly an unforgettable experience and a must see in Coron!
