Booked a tour to go firefly watching with dinner on the boat during the evening. It was a very peaceful experience with the calm river and the fireflies illuminating the mangrove trees.

The guides information on the fireflies behaviour, the importance of the mangrove ecosystem and the local folklore about the fireflies was very informative and engaging.

The food was delicious too!

Booked through travel agent and mistaken this for the Kitu one. Should have clarified. The tour agent is helpful and knowledgeable but it doesn't make the tour more exciting as we are there to see the fireflies and not listen to stories. To add wound to the salt they are aware chances of watching the fireflies will be low because of the full moon yet didn't bother to inform travel agent so we are given the heads up.

Nice and romantic experinece. I ve never seen so many fireflies making this night show for our eyes. Food is nice as well.
