Two years ago, my visit to Milano Central Station left a lasting impression. Navigating through the station was effortless, thanks to its clear layout and signage. Moreover, the station's architecture is truly captivating, adding to its overall charm and appeal.
A spectacular historic building with high quality public transportation with interconnections of metro and Subway.. therefore very crowded and so many for the taxis..

While the station itself is impressive and well-maintained, the areas surrounding it can feel less welcoming, with cleanliness and safety being concerns for some visitors. Despite this, the station's excellent connectivity makes it a key hub for international and domestic travel. It's advisable to remain cautious and aware of your surroundings when in the vicinity, especially outside typical travel hours.

Very busy and congested railway station with last minute ticketing service platform 1 to 25. Transport easy. Platform are in a row. Breakfast coffee confeshonary store restaurant brand shops etc. available. Cleanliness is good but need to restrict smoking in all station atea.
Amazing big Central station in an historical building. We took the high-speed italo train to Rome.
The station is not located in the historical City center but it is well connected with Metro buses taxes to all parts of the city and to the airport.
The station has some levels where you can find shops and restaurants or something to grab to eat.
All high-speed and Intercity trains are located at the same level but you have to pay attention to the timetable sign which says which platform your train will leave from just a couple of minutes before departure time.

The station itself is beautiful, but it's fast & busy. If you're unfamiliar with a train station, it's overwhelming. I'd recommend purchasing tickets in advance if possible. DO NOT talk to anyone that approaches you (someone in my group was robbed by some pretending to be an employee trying to "help" us). Do your research & know where you're going. No matter what, keep your money hidden & in multiple places to avoid losing it all at once.
