Great place to familiarize yourself with Swedish cuisine. If you have ever been to a French bouillon, you will recognize this vibe.
A bit on a pricier side, but considering the size of each dish, it’s all worth it. Would recommend ordering different mains to share.
Food was great, but a bit of seasoning was missing here and there. Alcohol free wine options on the card were definitely a great plus.
No problems with the service. Everyone was quite in a good mood.
One downside is how stuffy and hot it is inside the restaurant in summer.
Make a reservation before visiting.

I received many recommendations from my Swedish friends about this restaurant, and I can say it was excellent. The interior is amazing, and the lively crowd adds a special charm. I had the best meatballs and the flambéed fillet was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Nice authentic interior, dishes' serving and size are decent. We had high expectations to the food according to references which were not exactly met. Everything was too saulty, so the taste hardly could be estimated.

The food at Pelikan is unmatched. Probably the best place we have eaten in Stockholm on two visits. The staff have been super friendly each time we’ve visited too. A staple any time we are visiting.

The meatballs are incredible, and hard to look past. You’ll find most tables ordering at least one serve! The mash is soft and rich, and the lingonberry is delicious on the side.

Some fantastic fish on offer here too. Not as many vegetarian options so check ahead.

All of the food here was excellent! The Swedish meatballs are the best I've ever had, and the Ox Cheek was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for high quality traditional Swedish food. I'll definitely come back!

I’ve heard Pelikan being mentioned multiple times especially for the traditional Swedish meatballs (köttbullar), so we decided to try the meatballs here. I can say that it was one of the best meatballs I’ve had. Not only the meatballs, but also the mashed potatoes and the lingonberries were amazing! If you want to try something else, then I would also recommend their Ox Cheek Braised in Red Wine, such a delightful dish it was… The service was very kind and attentive. We loved our dining experience here, highly recommend!

LOVE this restaurant! The staff is always so friendly, helpful and nice. The food is delicious and well priced. Solid selection of snaps and drinks. This is one of coolest beer hall and is a real cultural landmark in Sodermalm!
