a tower stands still all alone and in silence in the landscape - people walk past looking at it, perhaps wondering what it could be. The others don't ask that. It fits into the landscape, but it also doesn't attract any attention, I don't know what's so great about it.
Lovely surroundings for an old engineering marvel. A few bits of info on the engineering around the site.
Main attraction now is a redeveloped kids play park, which is very good by the way.
Worth a visit.
