District - Mayfair

Dropped into the newly re-opened District Cafe which is now a Focaccia Bar - had a chicken parma focaccia and it was arguably the most dingly del (delicious) thing I've ever eaten. It was also an absolute MONSTER! Rare that you feel like you're getting value for money when buying a sandwich in London these days but this was worth every penny and then some.
All the focaccia is baked fresh everyday by Layers Bakery and to top it off the coffee is world class and the staff are also lovely, especially Tomas who had a real twinkle in his eye.

Will definitely be back - go hungry is my only advice!

So far my worst cafe experience. Their menu does not include prices, I enquired about a price of a specific drink but once I was about to pay it turned out to be more expensive than mention. Matcha latte cost me almost £5 but tasted worse than one from Pret. Tried putting brown sugar into my drink but it was all sticking together as if someone previously poured liquid in it. Once we sat down we realised that a wall next to us is completely covered in flies. After this I could not finish my drink as the place did not seem hygienic.

The lady working there was a real darling
I asked if she could dry the tables outside !
She was so good to do this and
We enjoyed lovey perfect coffees.
When I was leaving she asking me if I like a cookie
And she gifted me some lovely cookies I think it’s because they were closing
But it was was very sweet.
Great service.
