God awful. I remembered it from a while back and thought I'd treat my kid. Firstly we were ignored in the queue. One of the staff shouting at the pigeons telling them to F-off. When I finally got served the order was missing the chips I requested with it and the chicken was dry. Drink selection sucks too. He had half of one and now I'm taking him to macdonalds.

The food is good, can't fault that and the prices are good. However, the staff can sometimes be rude and unfriendly. In particular one guy with glasses and brown hair who needs to learn how to talk to customers.

I found this butcher by chance but I’m so glad I did.There produce is second to none!
The variety they have is incredible I’m always spoilt for choice.We used to go to a local farm for our meat which was good but this is a different level.
Give them a try i know you won’t be disappointed!!

I cannot praise the Caldwell's butchers in Davenport enough.

Father and son know their stuff and will give you advice on all their products, throwing in cooking instructions for free!

A Real family butchers shop, who know their products and only buy the best quality.

Their chicken and meats are so flavoursome, so fresh and delicious.

They have such a fantastic range of high quality meats as well as vegetables, cheeses and ready made fresh stir-fry dishes, bacon and a good range of sausages.

I could go on and on, but don't just take my word, go and check it out now.

Bought a few things from here. Onion bhaji, vile, no taste except pepper. Ribs, rubbery meat and plenty of fat, bacon no flavour, chicken drumsticks absolutely vile, grisly and rubbery, sausages loaded with gristle and bland.

This "new" company ( it's not new, it's curshaws rebranded) sells disgusting meat, it's cheap for a reason. Spend the extra and go to a proper butchers or, even supermarket meat is better than this. Wouldn't be surprised if this rebrand venture goes bust soon too..

A really good butchers, but it has been for many years.

When travelling the UK looking for pubs we like to buy thin pork sausages from proper and traditional butchers. Casta also loves to try the pork pies, bacon etc. The pies and bacon were yummy. Great white pudding and tastey black pudding. The sausages very good but not up to our all time favourites. ( Dales in Kirkby Lonsdale, Watson's Farm shop in Hope and Huddleston in Windermere.) Must try harder! Did not pluck up the courage to buy Pluck!

Had a pork pie today as a regular thing. Unfortunately hardly any pork and very dry. Not upto usual standard

The queuing system is really confusing since it's so popular, so it's easy to get unintentionally queue-jumped.

That said, it's popular for a reason, the hot food is the best in the area! They do the usual chicken legs, wings, ribs, chips, burgers etc. Not for every day but nice once or twice a week.

The gammon, ham shank, full chickens are great if there are a few people to feed.

I've been going for years and it's now become a bit of a ritual to get the flavoured drumsticks (£2 for 6) every Friday.

One point off because trying to figure out where the queue starts and who is before who can be really stressful, but it's usually worth the wait.

Great family run business. Good quality food if a little pricey. Just a shame they had to close their other shop and market stall .

The food is great, very tasty. I've been in for breakfasts and dinners and they're both good quality at really good prices. Particularly I would say to nip in at dinnertime. They've got a bit choice of things to have, I really like the salt n pepper chips, can't get enough of them. If they're not on when you're on but normal chips are then you can ask them to put the salt n pepper stuff on them for you. Just a little secret from me to you. I haven't purchased any actual meat from them because I'm allergic to cooking real proper food but it all looks good quality. They have a section too near the entrance where they sell special seasonings and stuff which I would recommend having a look at. I've had vastly different experiences with the staff but only one where I'd say it was actually bad. Most of the time it's either fine or they've been super friendly above and beyond so I'm more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will say sometimes especially around dinnertime it can get very busy and it's tough to tell where the line starts.

10/10 Best butchers around. Quality meat. Always super friendly and accommodating. Alison goes above and beyond and service skills are excellent. Definitely recommend.

I’m in my 70s, moved to Heaton Moor a couple of years ago from Staffordshire and must say this is the best butchers I have ever used.
The products purchased have always been excellent of quality and the service professional and friendly.
I can’t imagine not using them on a weekly basis and highly recommend them. Well done Neil and Allison

Fantastic butcher and reasonably priced. My sister went into every butcher shop in Llandudno looking for a leg of pork and La Charcuterie saved the day. Absolutely beautiful leg of pork. You saved our Christmas La Charcuterie. Also bought the Welsh Dragon sausages which I've had before, gorgeous with a hint of chilli. Only thing is, I forgot the sausagemeat which i noticed they were selling for Xmas so I'll be back!

We used to buy the excellent pies from the Princess St shop throught my childhood in the 60's...they were just fabulous...Although we now live in Blackpool, we are especially going to call at your Woodley shop to relive our youth... You're legends !!!!

Really good got a joint of pork £4.99 and a cooked chicken £4.99 both great value not worth putting the cooker on also they do takeaway food looks fantastic 👍

I was very upset today by a staff member at La Charcuterie telling me off for only coming to buy meat at Christmastime. This isn’t true and even if it was surely I should be treated well and encouraged to use the shop more often! I shall be using the other local butcher now where I was served politely

Amazing butchers, with a fantastic selection of meats and marinated goods! Ali and Neil the owners, are lovely and attentive people. We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

Went here for the first time, got a sausage roll and it was like a brick! The meat was thick, dry and chewy! Had to give it to the dog. Woman behind the counter not very friendly either!

I've just been in to pick up a rib of beef that I ordered yesterday. It was beautifully presented and all ready for me when I got there. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this butcher's to anyone and everyone 😊😊😊

I do not live in the UK but Asia and have a relative who lives close to the business.
When visiting I have to say I overindulge on the fantastic produce, I have never enjoyed pork pies but Littlewoods are delicious along with their other selections.
It goes without saying that their meats are top notch and when I leave I always have a selection of their cheeses which they individually pack in special bags.
That of course is all part of their excellent friendly service,
