Copied from the website.... Uncovered in 1987 during a scheme to landscape an area of the Great Orme, the copper mines discovered represent one of the most astounding archaeological discoveries of recent times. Dating back 4,000 years to the Bronze Age they change our views about the ancient people of Britain and their civilized and structured society 2,000 years before the Roman invasion.

Over the past 28 years mining engineers, cavers and archaeologists have been slowly uncovering more tunnels and large areas of the surface landscape to reveal what is now thought to be the largest prehistoric mine, so far discovered in the world.

.I'd deffo recommend this attraction it's something to learn about in Welsh history.. in Llandudno
It is a beautiful Chapel, the amazing carvings around the outside of the church are incredible. Unfortunately, major works are being repaired at the Castle, so l wasn't able to see it properly.
Very cool experience. They had very fair pricing (that was discounted or even free for children and locals) and extensive exhibits. Definitely recommend to anyone from anywhere, regardless of your interest in football. Took us around 2 hours (without any children) to look through everything and we read a lot and took plenty of photos.
Lovely staff! They were super helpful, they even had translations for some of the text. The exhibition was quite interactive and enjoyable. They even have a Maschine where you can print a coin with the bridge. And they sell you mini packets with coins so you can use the machine.
Really liked the museum, have loved the area for decades!
Took the "tunnel tour" on a canal boat. It was a great experience with a friendly and knowledgeable host. All of the volunteers in the museum are friendly and welcoming. It's a hidden gem of London.
Great parking, accessible Visitors Centre and long walk on excellent surface to an amazing view but go back the same way as the other side down is steep and ends in STEPS😡
Rosslyn Chapel is a gorgeous and ornate historical Gothic Chapel (which took 40 years to build) worth visiting (as an optional excursion of your tour). This is a 40 minutes coach bus ride from Edinburgh. The artistic carving details and talented handiwork of the Master stonemasons as well as craftsmen who performed restoration work behind the chapel is amazing. There is a 15 minutes introductory talk about this Chapel, which you sit at the pews for. We were blessed with beautiful sunny weather, in a beautiful setting. There is a small coffee shop offering light bites like soup, sandwiches and scones, with an outdoor seating. The listening standing pods with video are informative, to learn about The Green Men and The King's heart, and there are interactive displays at the visitor centre.

Seriously, this was a must. It’s pitted towards the English football fan on many ways, but certainly not exclusively.

I’m a Scot living in Australia and I found it entertaining and fascinating. Delves into the past without being to nostalgic and some great up to date items. I went with my kids - 6,9 and 11 and all had fun.

Special shout out to the guy on “reception” who, on hearing I was a Smiths Fan, highlighted some places I had never been to in Manchester that played tribute or were orchestral in their rise. He even came over as we were leaving with more facts, but not in an intrusive way whatsoever.
A brilliant afternoon out. Not expensive and very interesting. Fascinating look into mining during the Bronze Age. The tunnels were narrow and low in parts but easy to navigate. Well worth the visit and would go back again. Great shop there too!
Brilliant long boat trip yesterday to Little Venice. Perfect way to suit both active kids and grandparents with mobility issues.
The staff were really helpful and the guide was interesting.
The kids loved doing the locks and having a go a steering and granny enjoyed being chauffeured along the canal in style. Couldn't have been better.
We will be back in the summer to go the other direction.
Visited here in a time long past. It's a great place to visit and there's lots to see and do.

The museum was neat and tidy, even the toilets were nice and clean. They accept voluntary donations which I recommend.

They had little football themed games and galleries when I went. Every visit is different so it's worth taking multiple trips there if you're ever in the area.
If you love football, then this is the place for you! It's not as big as it looks, but is chock full of information & memorabilia. It was really busy with it being the Easter holidays, but your ticket is an annual pass so you can go back as many times as you want.
Fun interactive museum about London canals.
We took a boat trip with afternoon tea that we totally recommend. The boat trip lasted 90 min and took us along the canal and crossing the Islington tunnel.

Jane was a lovely guide, providing us with lots of anecdotes and history about the canal. Martin was a fantastic skipper who made the trip smooth and entertaining. The scones from Sun Bakery (a family owned local bakery) were delicious!
I can’t begin to express how wonderful my tour was today. I took my mum for her birthday and sadly, traffic was against us - leading to us being a whopping half an hour late! Of course, our tour group had left. The receptionist did everything possible to ensure we’d still have a chance on the (sadly fully booked) later tour, and the whole team did everything they could to try and make it possible for us to attend. Thankfully, we managed to go on a later tour due to hard work from everyone working here, and had a beyond wonderful time. My mum is the one interested in the bridge, but I found myself facilitated and in awe of the amazing history and views of the vaults! Would give 6/5 if I could for this place and the staff, next level custom service. Our tour guide, Jed, was also fantastic and we learn a lot and had a good laugh. So worth it and such a fantastic day out! Thank you! A MUST DO experience!
An amazing piece of engineering history. Well worth a visit. Parking is a bit of an issue in this area though. We included the visitors centre and the observatory.
An incredible walk through history, exploring an origin point for the Bronze Age on the continent. There was no wait time for the self-guided tour, and the tunnels are quite safe but can get slippery.

Be mindful of your phone if you're taking pictures, as there are many places to drop it where you can't retrieve it.

You may struggle if you have issues with tight spaces or heights. The tunnels can be quite narrow, as the original Bronze Age miners would have only cleared as much space as they needed. There are also deep pits that you walk over, covered by metal grates so you can't fall in, but you can still see down through the grates and some people may find that unsettling.
I was born and brought up in Bristol over 70 years ago. This is the first time that I have been to the visitor centre. It was very informative. I enjoyed visiting it. When I was at school we had different houses and I was in Brunel.
We had an absolutely fantastic day at the museum and on a narrow boat with the delightful and knowledgeable volunteers from the London Canal Museum.
Would highly recommend to anyone!
Gorgeous piece of Scottish history. Recommend staying for one of the history talks but visiting the chapel at your own pace prior.
This secluded chapel is a must-see. If you're touring Scotland, you'll see many medieval chapels and churches. This is not majestic like the ones you see with soaring spires. This was privately built by William Sinclair, 2st Earl of Caithness. The hand carved stone is beyond words. It was also featured in the movie The DaVinci Code.
Good staff and a neat, medium sized museum. £7 entry was very fair. There’s a barge you can explore and a lot of displays on the history of British canals. There’s also a great audio available about someone who used to work in the building when it was an ice storehouse. Very unexpected and informative. You can go outside to view the quay full of barges and wideboats. There’s also a small gift shop full of books about canals. One or two looked decent. I spent about 90 minutes here.
A seemingly empty headland which is so historically important and provides nuggets to of the civilisation and from millennia before.

Nature and history in a blustery yet lovely afternoon

A cafe and visitors centre anchors the visit

A must visit if you are nearby and the sun is out
We've been to Skara Brae on Orkney and Stonehenge in Wiltshire. This is on a par with them. Awesome bronze age mines that have changed our understanding of prehistory. Fantastic!
We stopped off on our way to somewhere else just because we saw the signs and realised we were so close. Unfortunately, we hadn't left ourselves enough time to go in and look around as we were booked in somewhere else, which was a real shame. It's a beautiful looking building from what you can see from the outside, and we can hopefully get to see the inside of it on our next break in Scotland next year.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Staff very helpful, and guides inside the chapel very knowledgeable. Lots of things for kids to get involved in as well. Nice gift shop and cafe as well.
A lovely small museum, just 10 minutes walk from King's Cross Station. Sit in the back cabin of a narrow boat, and see how the table and bed stow away! Listen to a Bolinder Engine and see an ice house. Will be back later, when the boat trips start.
The walk to the coastguard lookout at the top of the hill is worth doing for the view. The path is good under foot for most of the way, but as you get close to the top, it becomes narrow and tricky, especially if you have mobility issues. It has a very large car park, so I expect it gets very busy in the summer months.
Extremely helpful and efficient staff, I had a problem with my London pass in St Paul's cathedral, a lady from the office even came into the cathedral with me and sorted it out. A really outstanding service.
We visited for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. Although we were a little time pressed we managed to visit every exhibit.
We thoroughly enjoyed a brief game of subuteo and doing all the little quest style games such as guessing the nicknames of the teams. My son (13) enjoyed the more hands on task such as the penalty shootout and we had a family competition on shot stopper. Those games went down a storm. We will be back hopefully this year
It's definitely a must visit if you're a football fan. It's a huge building with exhibitions on a few floors. You can read a lot about football history, see interesting items, and play different football related games. There is a cafe on the ground floor and a room for events. It's a great venue for team events. I actually visited for a company organised event and everything was perfectly organised. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not only history of English football or world football, in this museum you will find the development of the balls, shoes, and more. Walk towards to two upper levels, you will start to find games, including many different football board games (that people usually haven't heard of) and some football video games. If you want to learn the details, join the tour guide which is the best part of the museum tour. The staff will take you through the museum with explanation at each step, and the entire guided tour lasts for about 1 hour.
I always wanted to visit this museum. Eventually found it after walking through Coal Drop Yard and across York Way. It is alongside the Canal.
I found it amazing! What a terrific lifestyle to be a bargee. It's quite a small museum but represents a bygone age of Britain and London.
Full of fascinating carvings, and very helpful guides. The visitor centre is well curated, and cosy on a snowy day. The timed entry seems less crucial in low season, the talk lasted 20 minutes and was very interesting, but optional.
Strange looking building but we'll kitted out. Lots of leaflets and maps with lots of suggestions for things to do. It also had quite few books/souvenirs on sale. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
My friend and I were doing the Snowman Trail which was lovely, though the map wasn't great...don't know who was responsible for that.
Out of this chapel, Saint Giles Cathedral, and Glasgow Cathedral This was by far the best one. The architecture is breathtaking and you could spend hours looking at all the amazing beautiful details. We appreciated the guide who gave us a 30 minute talk about the history of the chapel. This was in our top three favorite things we saw during our two week trip to Scotland.
Sehr beeindruckende Kirche. Wunderschön. Freier Eintritt.
A wonderful selection of timetables and maps from metro to bus or train. The staff were extremely friendly and patient and answered all kinds of questions for us.

Obowiązkowy punkt do zwiedzenia.

Lovely walk around the lake, spent half an hour in the hide watching a heron and an egret and other birds. Place is kept lovely and clean with a group of volunteers. Nice visitor centre where we enjoyed a cup of tea while watching the birds feed. I bought 3 pin badges and a plant for the garden. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Great location in the tourist area and a centre of London. Located across the road opposite from St Pauls Cathedral, between cathedral and Millennium Bridge. This place offers historical guided daily tours and sells maps, travel guides, internet, and books. One of the tours offered here is Charles Dickens tour.
