Very cool experience. They had very fair pricing (that was discounted or even free for children and locals) and extensive exhibits. Definitely recommend to anyone from anywhere, regardless of your interest in football. Took us around 2 hours (without any children) to look through everything and we read a lot and took plenty of photos.
Seriously, this was a must. It’s pitted towards the English football fan on many ways, but certainly not exclusively.
I’m a Scot living in Australia and I found it entertaining and fascinating. Delves into the past without being to nostalgic and some great up to date items. I went with my kids - 6,9 and 11 and all had fun.
Special shout out to the guy on “reception” who, on hearing I was a Smiths Fan, highlighted some places I had never been to in Manchester that played tribute or were orchestral in their rise. He even came over as we were leaving with more facts, but not in an intrusive way whatsoever.

Visited here in a time long past. It's a great place to visit and there's lots to see and do.
The museum was neat and tidy, even the toilets were nice and clean. They accept voluntary donations which I recommend.
They had little football themed games and galleries when I went. Every visit is different so it's worth taking multiple trips there if you're ever in the area.

If you love football, then this is the place for you! It's not as big as it looks, but is chock full of information & memorabilia. It was really busy with it being the Easter holidays, but your ticket is an annual pass so you can go back as many times as you want.
We visited for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. Although we were a little time pressed we managed to visit every exhibit.
We thoroughly enjoyed a brief game of subuteo and doing all the little quest style games such as guessing the nicknames of the teams. My son (13) enjoyed the more hands on task such as the penalty shootout and we had a family competition on shot stopper. Those games went down a storm. We will be back hopefully this year

It's definitely a must visit if you're a football fan. It's a huge building with exhibitions on a few floors. You can read a lot about football history, see interesting items, and play different football related games. There is a cafe on the ground floor and a room for events. It's a great venue for team events. I actually visited for a company organised event and everything was perfectly organised. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not only history of English football or world football, in this museum you will find the development of the balls, shoes, and more. Walk towards to two upper levels, you will start to find games, including many different football board games (that people usually haven't heard of) and some football video games. If you want to learn the details, join the tour guide which is the best part of the museum tour. The staff will take you through the museum with explanation at each step, and the entire guided tour lasts for about 1 hour.
