Highly unprofessional and misbehaved staff. They literally fight on just £5 with the customer infront of other customers. The food is too salty. It is advisable for high BP patients not to purchase any food from here.

Waited for an hour and a half for cold food. Impossible to contact the takeaway by phone - I must have tried 30 times. A small order of 10 inch cheese garlic bread, fries, and bottle of Coke. The garlic bread was cold and hard, and far more crust than topping. The fries were literally half a portion. The Coke was Pepsi (when I'm spending such ridiculous prices on pop, then I want to receive what I ordered!) and was the only thing in the order that was warm (and therefore undrinkable with the food, without hours in the fridge first). If I'd been able to cancel my order when it was so very late, I would have - I *tried* to - and I wish that I had been successful in this. What I eventually received was a total joke and I feel cross to have spent the money and not get what I paid for. Stop taking the p*** of your customers!

10/10 food. Chicken was fresh and piping hot! Pizza was one of the nicest take away pizzas I’ve tried. The service was fast and staff were friendly. Thank you very much, I will be back again!

By chance I came across this establishment whilst on my way home from work an hour hour ago. Very pleasant gentleman who served me, his knowledge of the fried chicken industry both past and present was exceptional. The fried chicken was very tasty, as were the bbq ribs and bbq chicken wings. The chips were different to your normal chicken shop chips/fries, they were refreshingly tasty amd looked great. I will certainly be back on a regular basis.

Wrong order arrived, rang them told they would send again. 1 hour later we rang back to be told food is in the warmer its the drivers fault and they won't be sending it.

2 meals ordered, no chips and no drinks received. Donner tasted awful, undercooked, and rubbery. Wings were fine.

The place was very quiet when I went. I ordered the lamb doner with salad and fries, it was okay, wasn't as hot as I'd expected it to be but I was in a hurry.

I've been there a few times, and let me tell you, it's amazing! 🌯 The kebabs are packed with flavour, the meat is juicy, and the bread is always fresh. Plus, they have a great variety of sauces to choose from. It's definitely a must-try if you're in the mood for some delicious kebabs! 😋👌

Chicken was really dry .. however it was close to closing time, even though that's no excuse. . I guess that's what you get for buying chicken at 1:30 am, anyway I gave it to the dog who didn't care .

TL;DR - The best fried chicken in my local area by far out of many fried chicken shops. Fried chicken and fries are literal perfection from all aspects and the golden standard of fast food. Give the hot wings a miss though. The Jumbo Strips wrap was delicious, yet it could welcome some add-on options (extra cheese, mayo, onions) on Uber Eats/Just Eat.

I have been searching for a fried chicken place like this for AGES, I have tried many places in my local area and none come close to this.

My order:

- Party Buckets 1 (6 pcs chicken, 4 fries, 6 hot wings and 1.5ltr coke)
- Jumbo Strips Wrap

The fries are the *correct* thickness unlike the vast majority of other fried chicken shops these days. You also get that amazing flavour coming through, some other fries have no flavour at all but the fries from this place are the *golden* standard for a fried chicken shop.

The chicken is phenomenal, the coating is crispy, has a great flavor and is well seasoned. The chicken is very juicy too, it arrived hot and fresh, it's always a *good* sign when the chicken arrives so hot that you struggle to break it apart. I really appreciated the cuts made after frying which made it easier to take apart. I received: 2 drumsticks, 1 thigh, 1 breast and 2 side breast pieces, all were perfect pieces.

I'll be honest about the hot wings, I wasn't a fan, they were bland and not crispy, but do I care? No I don't and it will certainly not knock a star off the review as the rest of the food was perfect, I will simply not order the wings next time. It's no problem.

The Jumbo Strips wrap, now this was great, I like how the strip is cut up finely so you get an even distribution across the wrap. I would have liked some more cheese, mayonnaise and red onions too. In fact, I had half the wrap left over and the next day I had a bit more cheese, mayo and also added some onions and it took the wrap a good few levels higher. I think it comes down to personal preference though and some people will disagree with me. Maybe an add-on option for extra cheese, mayo and onion on Uber Eats/Just Eat might be best.

This place need urgent attention from the owner , The burger which I ordered was terrible didn’t taste as anything the chicken was over cooked and very hard around the sides and the spicy sauce was just terribly done , chips were very thin I won't recommend, customer service needs to be reviewed as the counter members aren't really focusing on gaining more customers . I wouldn't recommend for a meal .

Tried quarter pound burger, chicken wings and the flavour blend was amazing, plus the price was convenient. Highly recommended!

Would have been nice to have some batter on the sausage! Clearly cut corners there and not good value! Staff deserve credit for being polite and quick turn around! But overall on food felt let down

Like KFC then you will love Dixys. Bigger pieces of chicken which are moist and full of flavour. Chips are seasoned too so no need for salt and vinegar. Only problem with Dixys I find is that they sell portions of chicken and chips as there value boxes. No options for the boxes or buckets without chips Apart from that I would highly recommend over KFC any day. Also have pizza options but not tried them yet. Can also eat in but not many seats.

I found what appeared to be rubble in my rice meal. Almost broke my tooth like what type of cuisine is this

Had chicken kebab last night. Felt like thrush in my mouth.
Lots of gristle and bone. Barely any salad. Thought it was spice battering my pallet. But lefty mouth sore, like having thrush in my mouth.
Best part being there, was lady wearing the denim dress who came in. Fit.

These days Ramadan special The burger meal is only £2.99 so can’t go better than that special spicy burger is awesome must try.

I ordered of Deliveroo, but when one of the updates came up I thought it meant I had to pick it up, well for I’m disabled and wud never go out at this time on My own, when I rang them they were happy to deliver for a charge which was fine x unfortunately I did t have change for a tip, and he didn’t seem very happy over the mix up but I can understand that x but all In all I just like to say the food was delish and very much worth the wait x everything i ordered was there and it was all really very nice x I’m just sorry for the mix up x I will order again x thanku for bringing it to me your very kind x

I ordered cheese burgers with salad and what is was is far from salad. It’s barely a piece of lettuce

Asked for a combo meal and was told it was unavailable because they closed soon, even asked if it was available without one of the burgers and was told no. Refused to serve us. They were open for another two hours but couldn’t cook one more chicken burger. Staff were dirty rude and unclean.

Ordered online as it was displayed as open and the order and payment went through. Everything was fine for about 10-15 minutes so I proceeded to order groceries as well as I thought might as well kill two birds with one stone considering I have to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs to get anything in my apartment complex. They proceeded to cancel the order 15 minutes later with no explanation when it was already too late to cancel my groceries as well. Extremely irritating. They need better management and organisation.

this place is absolutely disgusting!!! Not even okay to eat when you are drunk it’s that horrendous, the chicken is slimy the men are so rude and I stg I took one look at it and it was thrown in the bin because of how much of a disgrace of a place it is, from the chicken down to the staff this place is not the place to go, the staff are so rude and the food is absolutely awful. Mate. The chips were good but what the hell were those spicy wings. Soggy tasteless and just straight unappealing, felt like I was on the Kavos strip forcing myself to eat whatever was in front of me in order to line my stomach. Won’t be back, maybe just for chips as they’re actually impossible to screw up

Good food. Perfect budget meal. Foods always fresh and good. Can’t complain for the price. I always have the spicy zinger spot on.
We also get the cheese burger perfectly grilled. Not dry.

On my way home looking for a quick and cheap meal. Lived in Watford my whole life and never been in here… so I thought I’d give it a go. The lovely man let me try a wing for free as it was my first time, whilst I waited. That was lovely on its own! I got a chicken burger, which I asked to make hot (definitely was with a perfect blend of flavour). I also got fries which could have been saltier but still hit the spot. As I was a first time customer he also threw in a bbq rib and bbq wings. The sauce could be less sticky but overall the flavours are there again. He then recommended the grape flavour old Jamaica drink, which if course I couldn’t turn down. Overall the food is good, the prices make it better but the service is what makes it all!

Check your order before you leave this shop. They forgot to put chicken strips in. Told the staff check order, he goes don't worry its all there. Got home items missing. Poor service and delay also making food etc

Customer service really bad, someone who took my order for delivery got it wrong. When I asked them if they could be so kindly to resend me my original order, they declined my request. Never again. Chips were cold and not nice to eat. They Can’t even make chips/ fries.

The burgers are terrible it's like they are served on a wet nappy. Why not toast the buns they would be so much better. The meat is ok but when it comes on a wet bun its awful. Been twice now but won't ever go again. I don't like leaving a bad review but this is justified the need to change, or they won't last.

Many times we ordered,but now no more ordering, we asking always so make a less spicy but we got double spicy ,service is so so so rude last time we ordered and delivery was took 1hour 20 minutes when we was ringing they argumenting so no its no like this long , when food been arrived the driver told us so they made a wrong order thats why its tooks so long , so why u cant just apologies and tell the true ?! Needed to repeat myself too many times... Delivered wrong food, brought back the right order but missing several things... soggy coating on chicken an cold chips. Thought wed try under new management but won't be going back... such a shame as we used to love it.

i got a chicken nugget meal for £5. the food tastes okay but it could do with a little more flavour. waiting time for the food is beyond ridiculous they dont have enough staff working to satisfy the overwhelming amount of customers and demands. only 2 staff working to serve more than 10 people is not enough. i have been going crownchy since i was a child but the service, taste of food have downgraded but the price has skyrocketed. i also got barely any sauce on my food and it tastes like im eating dry hard chips. overall 3/10 and im being generous. do not recommend as a first resort.

absolutely rubbish! i ordered some nice looking wraps they came with salad and bread no chicken, i was really craving chicken and chips at this hour 3 am on the dot but noooo they sent me salad am not being funny but i dont want a diet am skinny enough i js want my chicken wrap and they cant even provide that! never ordering again stinky place found nails in my food and they told me to use it as a toothpick, absolutely grim! after i adressed them they said to me deal with it and called me a slave by the way i am black which is very racist in my opinion. if u value ur mental health and physical health try to avoid this place - contains salmonella and food poisoning had me on the bloody toilet for days!

The worst for home deliveries half the food comes out into the bag as the packaging its too small or flimsy. Poor quality of packaging and at times the food is burnt inedible.
The food tastes different every time. There’s always some herb overpowering every time and then a new taste.

Disgustingly shocking portions. Half a box of salad with over 5 orders of donner and chips. There’s hardly any chips in the boxes either. I won’t be ordering again from them.

Stood around waiting 10 minutes at the desk to have my order taken. Then was told it would take 15. Then I came but the food actually took 50 minutes. I was the only person in the shop when I made my order. Should not have taken this long. Clearly prioritising online order. Everyone seems busy running around but yet I’m still waiting to for damn near an hour. Would not recommend.

Food was terrible. I ordered a donner and chicken kebab. Felt like I was eating salad in a cold Nan,hardly any meat hardly any sauce for £8 and delivery. Will not eat here again. Meat was old. Threw it away. Waste of money

My partners kebab was lovely, really big and nicely cooked, the chicken was so nice.

My Chicken steak, was burnt chicken, with burnt onions and chips? So disappointed with my meal, especially seeing how nice my partners kebab was, how did I end up with burnt chicken and plain chips? I’ve added pictures so you can see what I received. I didn’t even get salad.

Quick delivery. Nice food. Just a note the fries tasted like oil was a bit old. Coca-cola alternative was given which I thank the store for.

Ordered a fish masala meal but they gave me a chicken wings meal instead and on top of that the chicken looked like it was rotting

The food was 1hr late and stone cold I rang them and explained what the problem was and they basically said can your children still not eat it I said I'm not being funny but I wouldn't give it to my dog and asked them would they eat cold food. Then they replied and said we can deliver you the same meal tomorrow and I replied tomorrow is no good they have been waiting god knows how long for there tea and you want to deliver it tomorrow. I'm also house bound at the moment after having an accident so can't just go to the shop and why should I order from somewhere else and in the end pay double for one takeaway so they said you will have to wait 2hrs then. I find this disgraceful.

First time getting food from here.Had a cheeseburger with salad. Worst burger, I've ever had. Really salty and absolutely tasteless. Quite a few bits of gristle in it aswell. Won't ever be going back. Too nasty.

Now (October 2021) - the owners have changed. The food is horrible. I got a pizza and it was overly acidic from the tomato purée used and the addition of vinegar pickled jalapeño. None of the toppings were fresh or tasty. Would not recommend

1 year ago - Excellent hot, spicy, crispy, tasty and loaded pizza. I was apprehensive after reading some of these reviews but decided to bite the bullet and give them a shot. Wasn’t disappointed and will definitely go again. Chaps at the counter were also very friendly. (Photo from then)

I had the garlic kebab and chips. Its was pretty good. Southern American style. Chicken was cooked well with good seasoning. Salad and sauce comes separately in tubs. Only thing i found was the charcoal was bitty. Price ok. Service good.

If you’ve heard the term ‘cheap as chips’ then this applies to the Chicken Station. Great food, unbelievable cheap prices and when you see uniformed staff from ‘Havana’ (which is a highly rated nearby fried Chicken takeaway shop) in the queue ordering food to eat, you know the food must be good!

Since Havana opened, the menu was updated and fresh chicken dipped burgers are now served. My favourite though is the Apna style pizza…it’s delicious with generous amount of toppings at 1/4 of the price of a pizza from Pizza Hut delivery a few doors away.

Overall, excellent menu and very reasonably priced :-)

21/11/21: unfortunately standards and portion sizes have dropped and prices risen. Big poster on the wall claiming be to be freshest most succulent crispiest etc. definitely not!
