I was passing buy and decided to give it a go,delighted I did. Went for the mini breakfast with the coffee upgrade,food was lovely and the place was spotless.The gentleman behind the counter was very polite and helpful,will definitely be visiting again. A + 16/5/24

Went here for some breakfast, we had ordered and were directed to take a seat. Beverages came out quite quickly and were presented quite nicely, but there was a very long wait for food.
It was quite busy which we respectfully understood that it would take some time but you would not want to be going here hungry. Food was only okay, we ate it because we were so hungry but the bacon was very over cooked.
The atmosphere felt chill yet chaotic, people had to find their own way around to seating, even the elderly. So if you had paid for your food and expected a table you could be unfortunate.

One if the best scones I've tried. Nice crust and soft inside, not dry at all. Lasted me the whole day because it was so big.
For dine in I had the scrambled egg and a hot chocolate. The egg tasted very plain, the avocados were not ripe, but the tomato and bread were nice. Staff were friendly and service was an ok speed, it was very busy. Hot chocolate was nice.

We booked a reservation which I highly recommend doing. The coffee and food was immaculate. Hands down the BEST brunch I’ve ever had, and have been back multiple times. I think the best brunch food is something that I can’t make myself at home, and Alma always delivers on this.

I haven't had anything there yet that I didn't like! The wings are the best I've had in Ireland.

Please order the same - Caneloni Catalan con Pato, Ensalada de Queso de Cabra, Sangria, Crema Catalana.
Portions are really small (just order double immediately) but taste is excellent, really excellent. My favourite is Ensalada de Queso de Cabra - juicy, rich flavour and fresh. We ordered two. Caneloni had just nice balance of pasta and meat, very tasty and filling. Sangria blowed my mind totaly. Like a grown up juice. Excellent.
Crema catalana was also good but not so special like other things. We didn't make a reservation, just arrived. All stars to staff for service and kindness.

Absolutely loved this place! We went here for brunch and I had the crepes which was fantastic! I highly recommend them. My husband had the full Irish breakfast which was also amazing! It is small and not many tables so make sure you go at a good time or have time to wait if need be. We went during the week and early morning so we managed to get a table. There is one toilet there for male and female which was clean. Service was great and very friendly. Highly suggest this place if you’re in the area!

Came here for our first irish breakfast. This place gets crowded, so be prepared to wait in line, and for your food if it is during busy hours. The food was good. We ordered the full Irish breakfast and breakfast bap. The bap is a sandwich with most of the items from the full breakfast minus the mushroom and tomato. I would recommend the bap, especially if you're not as hungry, since it's a little cheaper and easier to eat as a sandwich. The staff is very friendly. They also have a great selection on scones, muffins, and croissants.

Service was amazing & probably the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. Burger was also really good !

Just finished a delicious dinner. As a single diner I was very comfortable and well taken care of. Service was prompt and courteous. The poke bowl was an absolute treat for the taste buds. Can only recommend and hope to return.

This was my first Irish breakfast experience in Dublin and it was pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. I think that’s more of my personal preference of the dish than a critique of how it was made. My boyfriend ordered a club sandwich and we were shocked by the portion - it was also decent but not memorable. There’s lots of seating in different nooks and crannies which adds charm to the atmosphere!

I ordered a coffee walnut cake with chocolate ganache for my husband's birthday. It was delicious, and the staff were incredibly accommodating with my request. Very good experience overall!

A return visit, but a disappointing one. Long wait before being served, more than 20mins. Food OK but not worth the wait, as there are plenty more options in the area.

It was one of the best breakfast/brunch place I had in Dublin. It is very small and absolutely you must be reservation. It is always very crowded and those who come without reservation are waiting table quite much time. Portions are quite enough. Employees are friendly and helpful. You can sit at the same table with other people you will be ready for it (: . But I suggest you give it a chance here to have a breakfast/brunch away from the sound and chaos. Service is fast and good quality. I tried pancakes and winter Turkish eggs both of them perfect. Thank you for everything (:

We loved this breakfast place. It was the first place we went to on our first day and my husband’s definite favorite of the entire trip! Between our group we had the Irish breakfast, breakfast sandwich, crepes with Nutella and strawberries, and pancakes with blueberries. Delicious! The staff was super friendly. We all got a different coffee that was also good. Short walk to St. Patrick’s cathedral.

Had a lovely brunch here and were lucky enough to not have to wait for a table. Great pancakes and good service. Outdoor seating available.

Atmosphere was very cozy. Staff (Tommy) was very friendly and super attentive. The portion size for the scrambled egg with sour dough, sun dried tomatoes and avocado was a generous portion size. Really appreciated the butter packet being warmed on the sour dough bread. Irish stew was watery, tasted ok but not mind blowing and taste better than it looks. The mixed berry crumble muffin was delicious - very fluffy and moist. Overall would recommend coming. Fresh juice juice and chai latte was good.

Lovely food and great service. A little cramped around the service desk but it adds to the charm in a way. Ate here a few days while we were in Dublin and were never disappointed with the breakfast or the pastries. Lovely veggie breakfast also which is hard to come by in a lot of places.

Das Essen im Alma war durchaus sehr lecker. Besonders empfehlenswert sind das Granola und die Pancakes.

Schade ist jedoch, dass man nur maximal 60 Minuten bleiben darf, was nicht so gemütlich ist. Etwas enttäuschend war auch, dass man, wenn man zum Beispiel anstelle von pochierten Eiern lieber Rührei möchte, den vollen Preis für eine zusätzliche Portion Rührei zahlen muss, obwohl das pochierte Ei ersetzt wird. Ein kleiner Aufpreis für die Änderung wäre verständlich, aber so erscheint mir das nicht ganz fair.

Dennoch würde ich das kleine Café wieder besuchen & auch weiter empfehlen, da es einfach lecker war!

We visited for breakfast and ordered 2 smoothies, 2 mini breakfasts and a fruit bowl to share. The food was perfect and the staff were so lovely! We arrived first thing and got a table but it got very busy quickly afterwards with people waiting to be seated.

At first I only came for a cappuccino, but after a week in Dublin, and 3 trips back to Keoghs, I can confidently say this is one of my favorite spots in the city.

Slightly tucked away from the tourists in Temple Bar, Keoghs is quaint and homey. Tables are first come first serve, but I never had an issue with seating. They have charging ports and outlets available, which is convenient because my phone is never charged. Absolutely everything they offer is excellent, but the scones are exceptional. Prices are reasonable, I’m a poor college student and I found it affordable.

Come early in the morning to find piles of fresh scones. I tried the lemon poppyseed, blueberry, and raspberry, and they were probably some of the best scones I’ve ever had. Absolutely cannot miss.

The cappuccinos are well-done and affordable. You get a pretty big cup for €4.50 I believe. I was able to get non-fat milk instead of whole. It had a good amount of foam and had nice flavor.

I came with a group for breakfast on my birthday (St. Patrick’s Day 🍀) and the portions were huge. There was a line out the door at 9:30, but it moved quickly. The omelets could serve two people, maybe even three, and looked delicious. The pancakes also looked beautiful. I ordered the full irish breakfast, which was exactly how I wanted it. Everything tasted fresh and had great flavor, very authentic.

If you’re walking past Keoghs, whether you’re visiting for a day or a month, I’d highly recommend that you stop by. Even if you’re just grabbing a scone, I guarantee you won’t regret it.

Side note: The scones do not come with clotted cream, only butter and jam. There was an English woman in front of me who was extremely upset they didn’t offer clotted cream and ended up not ordering a scone. Truly her loss. They are delicious without clotted cream.

Popped in for brunch around 11am & there was a full menu available also. Nice café vibe with nice decor & very clean. Reasonably priced, great food & service. Seen the cocktail menu & even though it was early I ordered a Bloody Mary with my full breakfast 😋

I popped in to the Cake Cafe last Saturday looking for a table for one. There was a bit of a wait outside but because the staff were so kind, accommodating, and warm it went by super quickly and I was eventually seated and enjoyed my breakfast! Food is always good and fresh and David the manager/owner makes you feel as though you’re having coffee at his own home :)

Great selection of cakes and coffees with a super brunch/lunch menu available as well. The staff are on the edge of Uber cool and, while service is not super fast it is well worth the extra time.
For those rarer days when sunshine is both abundant and warm, there is some great outdoor seating.

Absolutely love finding places that just invite you in. We had two buggies with us, and the staff were super to accommodate us. No fuss or come back later, just straight in and seated.

This was insane! Definitely stop by this place if you're in Dublin. The breakfast was so tasty, plus the portions of the scrambled eggs were super, super huge (easily one plate could be enough for two people). Plus, the guy behind the counter was so friendly. Kind of the perfect place.

This is the cutest spot! We ate here two days in a row! I love the adorable cozy/clean aesthetic. They are very efficient, great service (I love the personalities of the servers) and wow the FOOD! The extensive menu has something for everyone in your group regardless of hunger level, dietary restrictions and preference. I LOVED GJE TEA! Loose leaf tea in an adorable pot? Could anything be better? They have coffee, juice, and tea galore. They have overnight oats, pancakes, omelets, crepes- sweet and savory. Very stylish menu and nice seating. We came at 10am and there was a long line however it went fast. Certainly worth the wait! The next day we came earlier and there was no wait time. The food was delish and tasted so fresh and tasty! I would certainly recommend visiting this establishment during your time in Amsterdam.

It was a lovely place to eat. There are so many choices that look tasty that it was very hard to choose! From a full Irish breakfast to crêpes, omelettes, bagels, toasts, french toasts, smoothies, fruit juice, coffees with various milk options and teas, it was wonderful. We appreciated the vegetarian version of the Irish breakfast for those who prefer. We had a bit of everything and everyone loved their food. Special note for the turmeric coconut latte, which I liked very much. The strawberry hot chocolate is the only thing we cared less for due to a more industrial strawberry sirup taste.
Other dishes we tried : matcha latte, fruit juice, french toast, cream cheese bagel, camomille tea, full Irish breakfast, vegetarian full Irish breakfast.
The personnel was nice, the food arrived quickly ans was quite generous in size, the space was nice. We'd love to come back there to try all the other tasty looking dishes.

The pricing was fair and the breakfast size was filling

The jukebox and the little wooden tables are adorable, and the place is cute even though it has been neglected (there was a water leak from the ceiling that ended up in a bucket). all readily forgotten due to how delicious the pancakes were. The ones with Baileys and the chocolate banana and strawberry were really good. the cappuccinos lacking some vigour.

I really wanted to like Goose on the Loose. I'd walked by one day and saw the prices and promised to come back. Came today with 2 friends for brunch and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Please don't get me wrong, the ambience is lovely, the staff genuinely seemed to be trying their best with what they had but I can't say a nice thing past that.

Our 40 + minute wait for food, considering the size of the restaurant, was what started the downward trend. Then I was told 30 minutes after ordering that what I had ordered was unavailable due to lack of one of the ingredients. Then my replacement meal (that I chose) came and maybe it was the size of the plate to the scale of what was on it, but my first thought was- could have stayed at home.

I think Loose on the Goose is a cosy little spot in city centre, but I wouldn't come here for food. Maybe a coffee or the crepes (which I didn't have but seemed really popular). If you want a MEAL I'd look elsewhere.

Another perspective: This is one of the friends here, I was completely disappointed in what I was served. I ordered the Irish breakfast. Visually, it looks good so I'll commend them on the presentation. But when I ate the pudding, all I can say is that it tasted like it was microwaved. It was just mushy with no crust on the outside. If you want to order an Irish breakfast. Look the other way and don't waste your money.

Had the Irish breakfast and omelet here, really enjoyed it. Service was very good, no complaints. Really good cappuccinos as well. I'd be interested in trying other items.

This is one of the few restaurants (if not the only one) where I could have a gluten free Sunday roast in Dublin's city centre. The dishes were generous and very tasty, the staff welcoming, and the restaurant is truly magnificent with its nice decor. Highly recommended!

Kleines, familiengeführtes Café, etwas abseits vom Trubel in Portobello. Kreative Brunch-Gerichte, wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Es gibt vegane und vegetarische Optionen und eine Menge Sides, die zu den Hauptspeisen dazubestellt werden können. Reservierung empfohlen.

Von außen ist es erst nicht so einladend aber wenn man das Restaurant betritt ist man positiv überrascht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Essensangebot ist gut überschaubar. Das Essen kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Der Preis könnte günstiger sein für die Portion die man bekommt, das ist das einzige Manko.

Absolute Empfehlung! Ich hatte lange Zeit keine so gute Falafel gegessen. Das Restaurant ist schon eingerichtet, die Bedienung schnell und freundlich und das Essen hat mich umgehauen!

Service was too slow, food took almost 50min to arrive. Didn’t bring water even after asking 2 times, coffee got cold because the food took too long to arrive. The Crepe was delicious but the service is VERY bad.

Nice place with amazing burgers, staffs were super friendly, would recommend this place to anyone that’s waiting for the train as it’s right next to the station, or students like me who needs a bright and quiet place to study. Would definitely come back and try the Irish breakfast!

Really recommend coming here. Since day 1 only had this sandwich and it's perfect. Even that I moved out from that area still coming back frequently because the staff is amazing, specially the lady. Highly recommend, the front is deceiving, you enter into a large sit down cafe, with a large cakes counter, and menu with hot and cold food. They specialise in savoury crepes, which is a must if you're popping in for a visit. Great selection! The portions of meat on the Galettes is very impressive!

War völlig okay. Wir haben hier gefrühstückt und fanden das in Ordnung. Die Einrichtung ist eher zweckmäßig als gemütlich und die Preise sind nicht ganz zu nach wie in anderen Dubliner Läden. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell.
