Such a cool place. We saw almost every animal in their encounters, except for one gecko we couldn't find. But I bet he was hiding! Cafe was nice but slightly pricey. A lot of shade and and spots to stand under if the rain comes like today. Lots of cafes and toilets around the place. I was happy with the size of the encounters and thought it was clean and tidy. They need magnets that have 'auckland zoo' om them. I can get a kiwi on a magnet anywhere I want one that says exactly where I've been.
What an amazing place, we popped in after lunch in one of the many local restaurants and could have wondered around for the whole day. Such a stunning array of art and sculpture, wonderfully written details about the art and artists, in non arty language.
The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable and next time we will have to book lunch in the restaurant as well. Great for all ages, easy to get around, highly recommended.

What a lovely zoo this is. The enclosures look really appropriate for the animals. It was nice to see lots of species sharing space like they would in the wild. Very pleasant and will definitely be back.
Spent a Saturday afternoon here & kids loved it. All the animals were out & it was loads of fun for the whole family. Crazy busy trying to get a carpark though so best to go as early as possible.
Was a fun experience seeing all the animals. The tigers were finally out so we could see them along with the tiger cub as well as all the beautiful lions. A great day out for my son. The team was so helpful when we had questions too
Awesome free ($4-$6 to park in the zoo carpark) day out with my active 2.5 year old. The playground is amazing for all aged kids, the park is well looked after. The path is smooth for scooters and bikes. Kids love all the ducks, swans and eels. And there are lots of picnic benches all around the water to stop for snacks. So easy.
Had a fantastic time recently at the zoo haven’t been in years and they have done up quite a bit of it and it looks really good! I especially enjoy the pride lands with the giraffes and zebras etc as you can really see them close up and they are so cute! Also very impressed with their PR who answered my Facebook message with in depth information. All round great day at the zoo!

Such a lovely park for kids to play and family. Im amazed at the number of black swans. It feels like a free zoo for us.
This was such a wonderful experience right from the moment we were greeted by the front of house lady, who was so mesmerising I just couldn’t stop smiling. Lots to look at if money is no problem, you can enjoy the restaurant and do wine tasting. Quite a beautiful place. Highly recommend.
Don't often get to see the tiger up close and show off his hunting skills! Great walking space, good café location's.... can stop when you need to. Parents room at the watering was very useful 👌.
Lovely museum with great views over the port. Lots varied topics about the local area and NZ in general. The Oyster Boat that they have to explore was brilliant and really brought working in the industry to life. The boat was fully accessible and I would recommend climbing down to get a look! The interactive engine was also great and the film that they have about the islands off Stewart Island is well worth watching. Attentive and knowledgeable staff really enhanced our experience.
Our granddaughter from Melbourne wanted to see AUCKLAND ZOO whilst visiting us! We hadn’t been for about 8 years when my dear wife was a volunteer there!
WOW, the massive refurbishment and new animal enclosures are absolutely fantastic! You are more associated with their natural habitat and closer. Missed the hippos, no longer displayed! Flamingos stole the show for us, encounters well presented by well spoken knowledgeable keepers and assistants. We took her to the Elephant house for lunch! Fantastic experience, service, drinks and food was exceptional, our waiter so friendly and polite made us feel special!

The Auckland Zoo was by far the best zoo I have ever been to! I can say enough good things about my trip here. There were so many different kinds of animals and fish and each exhibit gives a lot of information regarding the animal. I learned so many new things and I got to check off seeing a Kiwi Bird in real life off my bucket list! I highly recommend coming here if you visit Auckland New Zealand!
Visited with friends for some tasting as well as walk through the art galleries. The service was amazing from the moment we arrived. Karen was so attentive throughout our time there. The art collection was captivating, gardens beautiful. We had about an hour between the galleries and dinner and one of the owners spotted and talked to us for a while. Lovely to hear the story of how they started Sculptereum. I would definitely return to both gallery and restaurant.
Went here today with friends. A very fun place with lots to see and keep the kids busy. The galleries and art wrk were great.

Wine tasting was one of the reasons for going there so we paid the $20 and did our wine tasting but this needs to be better organized.

Lovely experience overall. We loved how the museum presented snippets of people’s lives. So much more personal.
What a lovely place! I had a great time here with animals. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. This is a one of a places you have to visit in Auckland.
Park for fun, walk, stroll, and enjoy nature. It's kind of an open aviary, so if you like birds you will like this place. Bonus, they have eels too.
Very raw authentic place for kids to be close to nature and animals. My son absolutely loved it. We went with group for birthday party celebration. Must visit place. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Hands down one of the most incredible experiences of my life! If you're thinking of doing this, don't hesitate - it's absolutely worth every penny! I was fortunate enough to go out on the boat twice (thanks to Nikki and the crew's persistence and dedication) after the weather didn't cooperate the first time. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. I can't recommend this enough - it's a must-do adventure!"
A stellar experience all around. We had about 8 sharks hanging out with us, nonstop, for the entire time we were anchored, and everyone got to spend as much time as they liked with them. I didn't feel unsafe for a minute; it was worth every penny and then some. Total bucket list experience!

Absolutely incredible! New sharks ID’d, a great team, a relaxed time in the water with over 8 sharks turning up to “cruise and hang” with us for nearly 6 hours without stress, or negative vibes. Pure bliss!
This is a fantastic wee gem of a local Maritime Museum here in Bluff. Many artifacts and a great recording of the history of what happened everything related to this port town over the many years when Bluff established itself as the Southern most port on the New Zealand South Island. Well worth the visit any time of the year but especially best when the world famous Bluff Oyster is in season, do check first to ensure you are visiting during this time.
Absolutely amazing experience with a grest friendly crew threw out the entire experience showing there love for the sharks and what they do I may have gotten sea sick but still giving it a 5 star as it was a once in a lifetime experience to see the beautiful beasts up close.
I’ve had the most amazing time on this experience. The crew and staff were just incredible and full of energy! The training was super easy to follow and the trainer was super patient. Most importantly we saw 8 sharks! Apparently, it’s one of the few places where you will almost definitely see a shark. Left at 630 and was back at about 230pm. We had good weather and so we all had enuf time with the sharks. Would recommend anyone in the South Island to not miss out on this opportunity!
Prachtig museum en informatie over de rol van NZ in beide Wereldoorlogen. Ook veel aandacht voor de Maori cultuur en geschiedenis. De foto tentoonstelling was schitterend.
Had about two hours walking the lovely Scultureum displays which were excellent & far exceeded our expectations. Both garden outside displays are terrific but for us the indoor gallery of priceless artworks was the best
I’ve been here on multiple occasions and have always had such a great time! It’s easily one of, if not, the best animal park in Auckland, hands down.

There are so many different animals that you can pet and feed. It’s quite therapeutic having a rabbit, rat, or guinea pig on your lap! The farm animals are very friendly and seem well taken care of. My favourite animals were the baby goats they have by the main entrance area. They also offer a short tractor ride around the land which shows more animals that you can see.
You get one feed container per person upon entry, and can buy additional containers for $1 each.
The entry fee is very affordable for what you get and I would highly recommend checking it out. If you enjoy being around animals, you will want to visit multiple times!

Best family activity! Loads and loads of cute farm animals. They all are really well looked after. All the staff members are very friendly and helpful. The place is very clean. Overall, our family had a very fun and enjoyable time here. Highly recommended!
This was my favorite stop on our entire Australia/NZ road trip. We saw 3 sharks and it's something I'll never forget. The staff is so helpful and they know a lot about what they're doing. I had never used a regulator before and Jordan (our dive trainer) did a fantastic job at teaching us how to use it and keeping me calm when I was getting used to the airflow! I was more caught off guard and nervous about the regulator than the sharks. 😂
We had plenty of time in the water and we all slept on the boat ride back because of how much excitement we had. I'll never forget this and the team made it such a great time!

This morning we went for a lovely round trip of the perimeter of the park which was very pram friendly with lots of wonderful variety of birds, native trees, clean lake water, and informative signage. The open green spaces perfect for future picnics and lots of chairs and tables dotted along the path as well as under the trees. The eels with the up and down bridge were a favourite! The playground is unmatched with lots of variety, colours, shade, seating, bins, all within nice proximity of the zoo cafe (accessible from the park, next to the playground).

Fabulous collection of one couple's art including bronzes, wooden, stone, glass, ceramic, metal, photographic and plastic pieces from around the world plus local NZ artists. Also contains some interesting and provocative quotations.

10's of 1000's, a village of food & craft filled White Teepee's, tonne of good vibes, Pacifika Festival hit the park. Props to the organisers keeping the park protected, humans and animals happy & safe. Sprinkling of security within the gig, visible presence securing the carpark area's. Solid 5 star performance and day. Catch it next year with a hungry empty belly and pockets lined 😜.
Great Farm for a family day out, lots of activities and friendly animals. Shout out to Amy at the pony rides who was so kind and lovely with my kids.

With 55NZD family entrance fee, you get to feed farm animals, ride horses, and enjoy the park. It was a rainy day but my children enjoyed it. There is a cafe for drinks and snack. I love the that the volunteers are young ones who are learning to maintain the farm and develop a deeper love for the environment and the animals. 🥰

Hübsches Museum mit einigen guten Exponaten. Man ist recht schnell durch und muss nicht viel Zeit einplanen. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Unbedingt sehenswertes Kunstmuseum im Herzen von Auckland. Die ständige Sammlung erfährt immer wieder neue, kontrastierende Zusammenstellungen. Die Sonderausstellungen bieten herausragende Austellungserlebnisse auf internatipnalem Niveau.
This is premium service. Even if we don’t see any sharks today, I would still give this a 6 stars if I could. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and informative. I love how the organization collect data and keep track of the sightings. We actually really appreciate how they use bait and not feeding the sharks which make it a more natural experience for us and also for the great white. We were very lucky today to have amazing sunny warm weather when the forecast was calling for rain. We had a slow start as there were no sightings at all then we moved to another area hoping to see some sharks and still nothing then one great white showed up and kept swimming around us for an hour or so. We also really appreciate all the snacks and lunch and hot tea provided. Highly recommend this activity and it’s totally worth the drive.
The online ticketing system is rubbish. You have to create an account which is absurd, didn't matter in the end as it wouldn't work for me confirming my email as it would send me to an error page. So I was punished with full price for having to pay at the gate, it's a couple of dollars cheaper per ticket if you pay online.

Small park with serial benches and a monument. Place to hangout and chat or have a rest. It is by a busy street so not super peaceful.

Absolutely incredible day out. Mike, Clarice, and Siena were fantastic, and very patient with the first time divers (and Clarice does indeed make a top notch cheese roll). The great whites cooperated, too - one showed up during the safety briefing and stayed for almost 90 minutes, until a larger one came along and cleared him out. Can't recommend this experience enough!
Went with family, there were 13 of us (aged 2 years - 70+yrs) and everyone loved it! Plenty of parking. The gardens and grounds were well kept. Staff were amazing. There are umbrellas in case if it’s raining. Amazing place, a must visit for everyone .

Mir haben besonders die großartigen Darstellungen der Maorihäuptlinge und der berühmten Maorifrauen von Gottfried Lindauer und Charles F. Goldie gefallen. Aber auch die zeitgenössischen Arbeiten neuseeländischen Künstler und Künstlerinnen haben mich sehr beeindruckt.
Im Empfangsraum im Erdgeschoss habe ich von einem sehr freundlichen und netten Galeriemitarbeiter erfahren, dass ich als Touristin keinen Eintritt zahle. Dankeschön! Außerdem durfte ich meinen Rucksack und meine Regenjacke abgeben.
Im Galerie-Café habe ich das beste Eclair gegessen und offenen Schwarztee in einer formschönen Glaskasse erhalten. Wieder sehr freundliche Bedienung!

What a spectacular day out with my little rugrats! My boy was over the moon when he got his hands on a fluffy bunny, it was definitely the highlight of his day. We were welcomed with open arms by the super friendly staff and given containers to feed the animals, and boy did we feed them well! It was worth every cent spent on this top-notch experience. My son even got to saddle up and ride a horse, talk about a dream come true! We had so much to explore that we spent a good chunk of time there. Although the playground was packed with kids, it didn't rain on our parade since we were too busy feeding and petting our animal pals. I highly recommend taking your little ones here for a day packed with adventure!

Die einzelnen Räume waren angenehm gestaltet und auch die Infotexte waren sehr sehr aufschlussreich. Neben dem Museum hat mir auch der Museumsshop und das Museumscafé gefallen, wegen der netten Mitarbeiter und den vergleichsweise nicht überteuerten Preisen.

Soms voelde de opzet van het museum een beetje chaotisch waardoor ik de rode draad van het verhaal verloor. Less is more denk ik dan.

Schöne Kunstgalerie. Wie in allen Museen in Neuseeland ist der Eintritt kostenfrei. Nur spezielle Ausstellungen müssen bezahlt werden.
Indrukwekkende collectie die veel laat zien van de Maori cultuur. Ook bijzondere afdeling over oorlogen in NZ en oorlogen waar NZ haar offers heeft gebracht.

Topmuseum voor maori-cultuur met de haka als optie.
Je ziet in het museum unieke boten en woningen van de maori. De informatieborden geven duidelijke uitleg.
Onze gids liet duidelijk het verband tussen de verschillende voorwerpen zien.

Ik was er voor de laatste Last Post die er geblazen werd. Emotioneel en weinig volk enkel een paar militairen. Je moet geïnteresseerd zijn in WOI om dit te appreciëren. De Anzacs hebben ons bijgestaan bij het winnen vd oorlog.
