Efficient and fast. Clean station.
Very nice open outdoor zoo with mountains surrounding the zoo. Also the zoo is very peaceful and relaxing. The animals there are cute and nice.

Longshan Temple in Taipei is a must-visit! The architecture is stunning, with intricate details and beautiful carvings. The atmosphere is serene and filled with the soothing scent of incense. It’s a perfect place to experience the rich cultural heritage and spiritual ambiance of Taiwan. The temple staff and locals are very welcoming, making it a memorable and enriching experience. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Taipei!
Visited as part of the Taipei free walking tour. Beautiful temples with intricate designs throughout. Recommend visiting with a guide who will be able to explain the significance of the temple, the designs, and the rituals going on within.

Best $2 you'll spend. So much animal action.
I stayed at the capsule hotel in Terminal 2 during my layover. The convenience stores were open 24 hours so that was nice for all of the things I needed but forgot. Tons of ATMs all over the place as well as money exchange machines. Please note that if you use an automated machine they usually only take Chinese and Japanese currency. I also got on the MRT here to get into the city. It's easier to take the elevator all the way down to the MRT instead of switching onto the various autowalks. But, it wasn't a problem. If anything this airport is all about convenience!
The ticketing process was simple. I did not use the automated kiosks but went to a live teller instead. I got a full day pass knowing I'd probably enter/exit through the wrong gates and need to go back. If you just get an entry and exit ticket then you'll have to pay extra fare if you go the wrong way. It was a dollar more than a single roundtrip ticket so it was worth it to me. Plus, you get a cute card to recharge if needed. The staff spoke English when I came through so that was really helpful. There are also screens once you get through the gates that tell you when the next train is arriving.
There are a few wireless charging stations on the MRT. My pass was only good for the airport line. Keep in mind that if you need to get on a train going to other parts of the city, additional fare may be required. I took the Express train (purple line) which only makes 5 stops. It saved time!

The beginning of Brown Line. Within walking distance to Taipei Zoo, Maokong Gondola and riverside park. The MRT stamp is right outside of the tapping counters.

GOOD MRT STATION
Nice airport, shops open at 6am. Lot of choises for meals, coffee, shops.

Ultra modern, very great airport. Absolutely very well designed and maintained, any upcoming countries, can visit and learn many techniques how to build modern airport, also can get many skills. My best wishes to Taiwan Airport Authorities to keep so hygienic environment.
Visited during peak travel season, and despite my super early departure time, place was packed to the brim. Traffic at the drop off point is a near standstill. Terminal 2 seems to be dominated by EVA Air, and due to their partnership with Sanrio, there is subtle Hello Kitty themes spread throughout, such as the check in and waiting lounges. Once past security, the madness seems to be better, and the overall feel of the terminal improves as well. The usual shops, food, Wifi are all available, so it does help pass time. Overall, quite a nice airport, just needs much better crowd control at the non restricted areas.
