The Pantry is a traditional Dutch restaurant filled with beautiful antiques and lovely staff members. Their homemade beer, “Feeling Dutch” is AMAZING!! I wish they sold them at Albert Hijn. The food though doesn’t have much flavor. The fries weren’t fully cooked either. Make sure to make reservations because the place is very busy!

Two of us visited the Pantry on a Sunday night at 1900 with reservation. Quite a number of guests waiting for seats. Reservation is a must. Tables were quite close but this didn’t affect our enjoyment. Food was excellent. We ordered typical Dutch ham, combination of fish and salted herring. The texture of the ham and the sauce were perfect. The fishes and the Dutch shrimps were all good. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place to eat in Amsterdam!
The food was amazing, good quality and very affordable! The chocolate mousse is a winner for sure! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were so lucky to get a spot outside, but with them being amazing I suggest to make a reservation in advance. :-) Menus are available in different languages too.

Authentic Dutch food. Had to queue for 30 minutes at 5:30pm. Make a reservation if you can!

Food was amazing, really tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very good, felt very comfortable eating in the restaurant. The staffs were very friendly as well. Reasonably priced. It was around €60 for everything that I ordered in the pictures below with 2 cans of coke.

This place is absolutely amazing! The line was long but luckily we came right after the standard lunch service so we were 3rd in line. This restaurant serves great Dutch food from the bitterballen to pea soup to the amazing bangers and mash! The food was so hearty and it was absolutely delicious on a cold winters (and summers) day. The desserts were a bit average but passable.
Would definitely one day come back here again!

I rarely write reviews but had such a great experience that I promised the owner I'd write one.
My family had two wonderful meals at The Pantry. We got there pretty late on our first night in Amsterdam without reservations. The owner said he'd try to get us in but no promises. We did get a table and are so glad we did. The owner and staff are wonderful, with great attitudes. It's a happy, busy place. Had the Dutch ham, bittenballs, herring, croquettes and the fabulous house beer. We came back two days later and managed to get in without waiting too long. Tried some different food and it was all great. The owner was very helpful when we asked for travel suggestions. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation if you're going to be in Amsterdam. You won't be disappointed. We didn't know where to go to eat Dutch food but feel so fortunate we found this place.

Excellent food and service! My friend and I came in without a reservation on a random weekday evening and were able to have a table after a short wait but I would highly recommend reserving online! The place is very busy and sought-after. We wanted to try traditional dutch food at a reasonable price and were not disappointed. We had the traditional 3-course menu with their house beer: overall definitely a highlight of our stay in Amsterdam!
