small selection of drinks. Food is good but small portions. Nice service, quiet, clean, no music. 10% service charge to the bill.

I stayed in Birmingham for Mach 2024 exhibition at the NEC, my hotel was close to this restaurant so I decided to give it a try.

Probably the best chicken dopiaza I’ve had.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Oh dear oh dear. You silly sausages. How to turn a good review into a one star review. Picture the scene. A quiet Easter day evening when there are hardly any customers and therefore every person who walks through the door should be cherished and treated like Kings. Especially when they are a lovely decent hard working family like us. However what did they decide to do. Add a load of extra drinks on to the bill and treat us like idiots. Therefore the quality of the food is irrelevant and won't even get a mention in this review. They ended up having to take service charge of the bill and get a one star review so really was it worth the risk. I guess this tactic probably pays off in the long run financially when you are next to a theatre and can rip off passing tourists but you will occasionally come a cropper. So for this reason alone AVOID AVOID AVOID.Im pretty sure when we were researching we saw a similar review about extra drinks being added on so we probably should have heeded that but hey ho. You live and learn.

Came tonight on a Saturday, wasn't too busy, but enough people for a vibe but also a relaxed atmosphere. The two gentlemen who served us, Shahidul and Rabbi were very attentive and friendly. They were able to advise on spice levels and recommend a dessert we have never tried, gulab jamun. It was really tasty. Only recommendations would be we would love to hear traditional Indian music and also a candle on tables would be a nice touch. Thank you very much, we'll come again when we visit Birmingham!

Very welcoming team, nice layout for a smaller place. Good choice of beers, soft drinks, and LOADS of food options on an easy to navigate menu. I went for a special, was very good, great size portions so don't over order! Keema naan was great, egg fried rice great, and the standard poppadoms accompanied with the dips. Awesome service, the friendliest people, so nice. Win win!

Wonderful food and the service from Shahidul was first class.

The Tandoori Fish starter was the highlight for me but the Harrey Mirch Masala was fantastic too.

Think it would be fair to say the gents loos need a revamp but I didn't come for that.

We were well fed and well looked after and booked a table with ease at super short notice.
