Another brilliant visit as always, free entry, donation appreciated - went to see the Exodus exhibition and the Printmaking exhibition- absolutely loved both. Exodus was very emotional, very well thought out. Printmaking has been an interest of mine for over 4 years now and so I really enjoyed seeing the Printmaking machine I had used when at university not too long ago.
Brilliant little gallery for modern art exhibitions. There is always something interesting to see and make you think, even if it is a little strange sometimes. They have exhibitions that change every few weeks, so you can go back and it will be different. The cafe is very good and does hot meals and has outdoor seating. The shop is great and has lots of art books, posters, and cards, as well as info about the exhibition on at the time.
The Ikon is a fantastic cutting-edge gallery and has been for 60 years. Their varied programme may not always be to my taste, but it's always well curated and often challenging, which I like. A great cafe, a great shop and exhibitions over two fully accessible floors it's always worth a visit.
Came here to kill time before an event nearby, but ended up losing track of time and having such a great time.
We especially enjoyed the exhibition: Start the Press! Where we saw Hassebah Ali working with the most biggest Lino press I’ve ever seen. Apparently the gallery had to disassemble and rebuild the parts for its transportation. How do I know this? With the lovely courtesy of Hasna, one of the staff there who, with her charismatic friendliness and knowledge, enhanced our perception of this exhibition. The overall exhibition was beautifully designed to make interaction with the artist easy and open, and I must applaud all who were part of this project!

Interesting building. Not a big gallery, so it would not take you long to walk around. Small contemporary art displays. Nice little cafe and cute shop which sells lots of art books. Free entry.
