What a fantastic exhibition!
If you love social history and great photography then this is for you. An authentic portrayal of Hackney and it's community from past to present. Very informative.
The museum staff were welcoming and helpful.
Other exhibitions here too about adventure playgrounds and the various immigrants who settled here.
I loved it!
Also, the library upstairs was a large, light, bright space with a huge focus on the community. It made me want to live in Hackney.

Great museum and nice staff. The Hackney Life exhibition had some great photos and was well curated. I just wished the customers were a bit more considerate of other users in terms of not letting their kids run riot, not shouting and distracting your concentration and not sitting in the way of displays to read their phones and making no effort to move when you clearly want to read stuff! Why are people so inconsiderate these days !?
A lovely little museum that's free to go and visit.
Small museum as a part of the Hackney community centre but definitely worth seeing, particularly to follow the development of Hackney over the past centuries as well as the social changes. It's free of charge and gives a better understanding of this area of London.
I have visited this museum quite a few times, library on first floor. This museum is really good and my children always love it.

We visited here for a school trip. It's a great experience to see and learn some history.
The leading staff facilitator for our group was a wonderful, knowledgeable young lady. It's a great place to visit for adults as well.
