Begggers Belief ! Just phoned this centre to try and get my father in law an appointment after he has tried and failed many times . The phone was answered with a lady laughing and at the same time trying to say the name of the centre !
I obviously asked if I’d got the correct number , and she replied , “ what ? “
Unbelievable !
Just spoke to other people I know who use this practice and they said they have also experienced unprofessional service from the receptionists there , in person & over the phone .
Training obviously needed here !!

Called in to see the pharmacist rather than take up a gp appointment, very knowledgeable and a friendly guy. So helpful and managed to sort out my partner's problem straight away. Thank you :)
Popped in for some back pain advice as paracetamol & ibuprofen weren’t helping. I was served straight away, the lady was lovely and helpful offering a few recommendations which got my pain under control, thank you.
Only pharmacy within a 10 mile radius to agree to put my dad on blister packs , recommend this place to everyone !
Friendly, professional and efficient service all the times. They first came to our aid during the first Covid lockdown with their superb free home delivery service for our repeat prescriptions. They continue to go the extra mile with their willingness to always meet our needs. Thank you to all the staff!

Can't even get an appointment to speak to doctor to discuss results from tests I've had not to mention that it taken them a year to tell me I was diabetic ridiculous
Newport is lucky to have such a friendly, efficient and professional service as given by Newport Pharmacy. This is a real asset to our village and is one of the key factors that make Newport such a special place to live.
The incompetence of this surgery has no bounds. Almost every interaction with then is a terrible experience from withholding diabetic medication to my father until he got a blood test, which they hadn't told him he needed, to getting my mother's date of death a month wrong. Leading to the Coroner calling us, while we where greaving, to ask us if we had held onto her body before reporting her death.
That's just the tip of the iceberg though with countless other issues over the years from being restricted on times you can call for different problems to not being able to get appointments for days on end.
This latest one has finally broken my patience though.
I had a text message from them a couple of weeks ago telling me I had to book a routine blood test. I duely did so and on attending it yesterday was told that my Doctor's surgery hadn't sent the paperwork over. So I phoned the surgery to be told they hadn't asked me to go for a blood test. I said I'd had a text off them and they said "No that must be a mistake".
Knowing this I went on to my medication and ordered my next lot of tablets. A good job really as I only have 5 tablets left. So what happens last night. I get a text from them saying before I have my tablets I need a blood test.
Today Saturday the surgery is closed so I can do nothing now until Monday by what time I will be dangerously low on medication. Absolute joke.

Really friendly staff and helped my son out for collection and delivery of his medications. They have a lifetime customer in me now. Fully recommend.
The last few months, I have experienced great difficulty getting some of my medication from my default pharmacy, so I have been calling Rowlands at Tingley, for assistance and found them to be very professional and competent in dealing with getting my medication on my behalf. Whenever I ring or go into the pharmacy, they are always very busy, but they still take time to be polite and patient with my enquiry. Thanks to all the staff that have helped, it is much appreciated 😊
I’ve changed to this pharmacy for my monthly prescription even though it’s 4 miles away and there’s two just nearby in Saffron Walden where I live. It’s so much quicker from ordering online, very efficient, no queues and the staff are lovely. The friendly pharmacist is so knowledgeable and instantly available for advice. The shop also sells lovely, inexpensive greetings cards as well as the usual pharmacy items.
There’s parking behind the shop which is a huge bonus. Would absolutely recommend.

Newport pharmacy is wonderful! I cannot fault anything about it. They deliver my medication to me regularly and Nav the pharmacist is so helpful and caring as are all his staff. We are so lucky to have Newport Pharmacy in our village.
An excellent pharmacy. In the aftermath of my husbands death, when I was so confused and sad, everyone was extra kind to me. The deliveries are always prompt and the delivery driver is efficient and kind and feels like a friend. I cannot fault this pharmacy or its lovely staff.
Worst pharmacy out there, attitude of staff is really bad,always tablets missing from prescription, prescription is never done on time.my opinion should be shut down and investigated
Very slow. Can take half an hour to an hour to get your prescription.
Never had a problem. I opted for the delivery service and Newport Pharmacy has always delivered within 2 or 3 days of receipt of my prescription. With no mistakes :) Happy!!
Outstanding service today. I called in to get medicine for myself and daughter as we are both unwell. I just happened to mention my daughter has tonsillitis and the lady Donna jumped straight into action and pointed out that I could see the pharmacist with a view to getting medication to help my daughter with the symptoms she is suffering with.
The whole thing took 5 mins, the pharmacist was amazing put my daughter at ease. We walked away with antibiotics.

They used to be really good, but they've changed the staff. It's a shambles at the moment.
I moved to this pharmacy a good while back and I can honestly say there has not been one missed script or mistake , these guys go above and beyond for you , they absolutely go out of their way to make sure your delivery is perfect and on time. Thankyou all of you ⭐️👏

I moved to I pharmacy as my previous pharmacy was making mistakes all the time with my husbands and sons prescription.
These guys are amazing! Prescription delivered within the hour on my first order,and now every month I dont need to worry about putting a repeat in as these guys do everything for you,no stress and script with you within plenty of time.
If anyone is looking at moving pharmacy this is the place to go 5* from me and my family!

I used t9bhave such trouble getting my medication and it was an anxiety inducing thing every month, until I was recommended ipharmacy. From start to finish they take the hassle of repeat prescriptions away. It's complete peace of mind. Also having 9ne off prescriptions when the kids are sick it's amazing same day delivery. Would highly recommend . All staff are friendly and aprocable and always service with a smile
Recently changed to i pharmacy and what a difference to other chemist’s I’ve previously been too..very prompt efficient service.Really good customer service and with a smile on delivery.Nothing as been too much trouble.

A terrible practice I joined in December 2023 and left February 2024 they refused to supply medication which previous doctors put me on a complete joke when trying to phone in a morning for same day appointments 70 minutes plus on the phone and staff rude to patients
Had an emergency prescription sent to this place from NHS111 but every time I callthey cut me off, really have medication in that I need 100% of the times I’ve been they’ve not had it
If I could leave no star, I would. This surgery has absolutely gone down the pan since Covid.
Four times now, I have put in my repeat prescription script and it hasn’t been sent to my elected pharmacy (no longer the Swanpool pharmacy, which is now owned by the practice - don’t even get me started on that one!) The last time this happened I was told by the smug receptionist that if it is put in the box, it gets sent Well, it was her on the desk again today. I brought to her attention what she had said last time and she said she would try and get it signed off by the clinician but didn’t know when that would be. I had put my script in with more than the required time and contacted the pharmacy as I had not received the text to say it was ready. They informed me that they had not received it - again. I did raise my voice a little at my disappointment but was in no way rude to the condescending receptionist, who on my way out of the surgery, I heard apologising for me! Now, I am going to be putting a formal complaint in against her totally unsatisfactory ‘customer service’. Do not sign up at Swanpool surgery. I have been with them for thirty four years and have never had service like this.

An Excellent Pharmacy and the staff are excellent too.
Catastrophically bad and slow service. Was stood waiting for ages when there was more staff than customers in the store. One of the counter staff was wandering around the dispensary saying she’d spent the last 20 minutes zoned out staring at a can of coke. This is not unusual one of the staff told me off for waiting until nearly closing time to come in when I’d been there for 40 minutes waiting for service. Just shambolic. Also uniquely for a pharmacy they absolutely zero access to stocks of medication that you can use in anything less than a week. Literally never got a prescription item the same day
Staff pleasant but poorly supplied urgent medicines prescribed never available much the same as boots.
Ordered my repeat prescription through them. They then forgot to order it and left me without meds then tried to say I hadn’t ordered it! It took 2 days for them to answer the phone to tell me this. Called the complaints line number given and just goes to a voicemail. Terrible.
I had urinary infection . A&E gave me a pharmacy prescription for antibiotics but they were closed for three days at Christmas.! I asked the Asda pharmacy if they would take it, she grinned at me and said no, at this point I was in great pain and passing blood. . pleaded with her but she refused.I went to another place where she said no problem but you have to pay for it.,I was so relieved That is the second time I have been refused medication at Asda pharmacy but and got it from another chemist. The woman on thr counter obvious and has not been trained enough and is rude to customers. Don't use this place.@

Every time I come here I have the worst possible service you can get! Only one serving, all the staff at the back act like they are blind & cant see you. I came in for 2 items, 1 lady been served before me & took 20 minutes to be served & no sorry for you wait nothing! Best part when the lady serving was walking round like a headless chicken she disappeared & came back & was eating! Like are you kidding me! Clearly looking at the reviews for here you would think they would be like we need to improve & do better but they some how get worse!
I won’t ever use this pharmacy again. Was sent there by 111, the pharmacist diagnosed tonsillitis (which I already knew) and refused to refer me to the out of hours service and sent me back to 111. After making some calls, including to another pharmacy, I was told 3 times that only he could refer me so I called him back, and he kept refusing. I had to be very firm in the end to demand that he referred me, and I even gave him the number to call. I went in there feeling ill, but after the call with him I felt 100 times worse. If they are using Locums from out of the area they should know the correct procedures! I was confident enough to challenge today, but not everyone is, and others could still be going around in circles 😡
Absolutely disgusted at this pharmacy's recent policy to not answer their phone. A frien of ours has tried constantly for the past ten days to make contact by phone this gentleman has a regular prescription delivered but this time is twas not delivered and so he tried contact to jo avail. He had to literally walk to the shop to gain any information he takes rglar medication and should not have to do this they our friend they were short staff but there were three staff inside the shop and the shop was empty
Disgusting service with rude employees that don’t have a care in the world, collected part of my daughter’s prescription yesterday and was told to come back day after to collect, waited 35 minutes for them to get ready. The service is shocking. Woman with the glasses who works the front desk needs to be fired as she is disrespectful and extremely rude
I was asked to give a review then I was able to get my elderly disabled mother in laws pain medication so he asked for a review. Moved from this pharmacy because it was shockingly useless and I guess it still is. You want a review there you go

Waiting on test results, had a text message with an appointment date from the doctor to see him, left me quiet concerned as its about my kidneys to be told that my results are back and doctor is still reviewing them, the text wasn't meant for me and it was a mistake the appointment is for someone else with the same first name ? A week later and still no info on my test results
Terrible. Pharmacist would only speak to me via the shop assistant as an intermediary. He made his "diagnosis" remotely without speaking to me; I left empty handed. I went elsewhere and got the help I needed.
Went to collect antibiotic prescription for my elderly mother and was told I could get them in two days as they had to order them. When I said it was not acceptable as a 90 year old woman needing antibiotics needs the right now not in 2 days and asked them to give me the prescription to go elsewhere. They said it would take 10 minutes. I came back 10 minutes later and they had the antibiotics ready. So not sure why I was lied to in the beginning unless they just couldn't be arsed to do the prescription.
Absolutely shocking, impossible to order repeat prescription for my son, never answer the phones even though their times to order is between 2.30 and 4.30, always loose the medication or isn't ready for collection

Still they said we cannot do anything, you have to wait. After 40mins the guy said one of the medicine is out of stock nd you have to come back again to pick up.

Poor service, pharmacist no present in store. short of staff so the medication are not ready on time. Feel sorry for the staff members who need work alone.
I have never been to a pharmacy as bad as this one . Never have the things you need for a prescription. Today I was booked on for my Covid injection at 5:10. I arrived just after 5:00 and was told they don’t do them after 5pm. Surely they must have known that I was booked in so why did nobody call me. Very poor service and I will not use this pharmacy or Rowlands again.
I have been calling since 9:30 for a simple prescription return so I can get it from my local pharmacy but for 5 hours no one has answered a single phone call
Obviously I can only speak of my experiences but Muhammad (the boss) has certainly turned this place around and it's now worthy of 5 stars. I'd actually give 10 stars if it were possible.
Easy to book flu vaccine, very quick and the most painless jab I have had.
Friendly, efficient customer service. Rapid dispensing. Health queries answered. Will deliver prescriptions. So easy to order online. A brilliant asset to the village but also to the surrounding villages and Saffron Walden.
this must be the worst pharmacy ever! a pompous idiot of a pharmacist refused to give my carer Chloramphenicol eye drops! insisted that he must see me and argued with me on the phone I told him I was disabled and housebound to no avail! I have been buying these eye drops for years from this pharmacy without problems ! the man is a rude, insensitive idiot !! you would think I'd asked him for heroin not bloody eye drops!! avoid, avoid, avoid this place like the plague and I will never, ever set foot in there again!! this man should be dismissed ASAP !! it's not as if Well pharmacy's have a good reputation anyway but this idiot needs to go NOW !
