Me and my friend were probably not the target group for this activity (we are in our twenties), but we really enjoyed it. The boat trip was more than we expected and it is certainly fun to take a look.

One critical note: There was a queue for the boat, and it took longer than it should have because, for example, they only put the two of us in the boat (while more people could fit in a boat). It would go faster if they filled the boat with more people. Other than that it was worth the wait!
We really enjoyed our visit here, but in terms of looking for a serious museum, if you're hoping for the Portuguese version of the Greenwich Maritime Museum or the Jorvik Viking Centre, you should exponentially lower your expectations. Many of the exhibits seem a bit threadbare and dated and much of the text and commentary provided seems verbose and pedantic, like it's been cut and pasted unedited from somewhere without enough thought to tailor things concisely for the visitor.

Yet World of Discoveries works best when you think of it as akin to the sort of attraction you might find in a theme park. As long as its not too busy, families will really enjoy this - I like the way you can try items of armour on for size, how happy and friendly the staff seem and then, of course, you have the main draw of the boat ride touring around Portugal's colonial history. It is a little bit pricey if you're a big family, but we had a huge amount of fun and would still recommend it.
This beautiful stony beach offers multiple access options: you can get there on foot, by car, or via a very steep cable car. The beach is well-equipped with amenities, including restaurants, sunbeds, free toilets, and a shower, making it a great spot for a relaxing day. The cliff above the beach provides a breathtaking view, and the water is crystal clear.
We had Bruno and Juan for our tour guides and they were good fun. Gave our tour in Spanish and English. The boat was a little rocky and bumpy at times but all good fun. It was an hour and 15 minutes in total which was perfect for us. You don't stay completely dry but we took our phones and had no issues with water or sea sickness. Would recommend, very straightforward booking and plenty of time options.
Braga is such a cozy city; we love it so much. Next time, we definitely need to stay for two or three nights to fully experience it.

A beautiful little stony beach that can be reached on foot, by car or by a very steep cable car for €5 in cash (both ways), which runs until 8:00 p.m. and the journey takes just over a minute. There is an excellent restaurant on the beach that cooks amazing food straight from the sea, great coffee and they take credit cards. sunbeds can be rented for €3 per day. there are not many people here and there is a beautiful path around the cliff on which there is a statue of Christ.

Very nice beach. Till 1980 there were fishermen's houses. After big fire were removed.
Cliff above the beach is breathtaking and simply great. Restaurant has good variety, a bit higher prices.

You have to use cable car as it is 20 minutes walk from parking place. Maybe therefore it is not so crowded.

Shower is there and sunbed 3 euros for the whole day.
amazing snorkelling and suntanning spot. i went three times during my week long stay and it was my absolute favourite.

you can pay €5 for a return cable car down to the beach. it’s worth it to park at the restaurant above, rather than having to walk down/up yourself.

suntanning beds are €3 for the day and there is a lovely restaurant which has many cats and a parrot which we loved.
This is a very short museum mostly for crying and screaming kids running around. Not adults. However, having said that, the last section is a 20 min slow boat ride through history of Portugal which is worth all the groups of screaming kids!
Great spot for sunbathing and food. Can be accessed by cable car or by foot. Sunbeds cost €3 to rent. Friendly service and good food at the restaurant. Could have easily stayed there all day drinking €4.50 mojitos!!
Very fun and beautiful tour. Tour guide and captain Joao and Bruno were very informative and made it a fun tour, and did the tour in Portugees, Italian and English. We saw a lot of beautiful caves. Definitely a must when visiting the algarve

A must see visit! The first paper manufacturer in Portugal
Belo sítio no centro de Leiria.
Great tour for great value. Our tour guide was a really funny guy and spoke Spanish, Portuguese and English so we all understood when talking about different caves and coves or rock formations.

He made they excursion fun. He took photos for everyone and made sure the boat was balanced with people sitting strategically.

Come wearing flip flops because you have to leave your footwear behind anyways. It's safer in the boat to be bare foot.

They other staff handling tickets were great too!
Amazing for children, great for adults also. A good way to explore the Portuguese historic discoveries. A beutiful ride with the boat is included. Definitely worth going there.
Our tour guides were Bruno and Mauro, they really made it a fun experience for us! We saw absolutely beautiful caves and beaches and heard some funny jokes 😉 Definitely recommend doing a boat tour with them!
Loved the boat tour but the rest of it is a bit expensive for my taste.
Joao and Bruno, our guides were so informative and they made our private tour so much fun
They took us in many caves. Incredible navigating. We highly recommend!!
Carvoeiro Tours provided an incredible experience exploring the Algarve caves! The staff was fantastic - friendly, informative, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone. We cruised by a whopping 15 caves, each one more stunning than the last. This tour was truly amazing and a must-do for anyone visiting the region!
