Quite a beautiful church with the steps and all, but if you don't want to tire all the way up or take the escalator, you can take an Uber to the top and walk your way down
Amazing place to visit with the family! You have to try some of the special liquors, chocolate, and local products. Always nice souvenirs.
This place is from another world. What an amazing and historical city. It’s like being transported to another century. Make sure you come to the castle and go around it to explore the whole city. Amazing views.
Wow! What a day out. We were completely unprepared for how much was on offer.
We were here for 6.5 hours and didn't get around to everything.
The children loved the rides and splash zone.
We enjoyed the aquarium, butterfly house and The Americas walkthrough. We didn't catch any of the shows.
Food was reasonably priced and tasty.

Uma experiência extraordinária. O staff é incrível, super bem dispostos e atenciosos com todos os passageiros ao longo da viagem. Foram momentos muito bem passados. Recomendo a todos passar pela experiência. Uma equipa fenomenal e acima de tudo que respeita os golfinhos. Adorei!
Uma tarde bem passada! Passeio muito agradável, tripulação prestável e muita educada. O barco é espaçoso e tem todas as condições para a observação dos golfinhos. O mergulho no final do passeio foi 5 estrelas e fez toda a diferença! Recomendo!
We love this place. The lake was so much fun for the boy. You can rent a boat for 15 minutes for about 2 or 3 euros per person. They have places that sell ice cream and a public restroom which you have to pay to get in ( 50 cents to 2 euros, I don't remember). Lovely cathedral. The stairs are a must, and those with little ones or with health issues, don't disappear you can enjoy the funicular.😃

Look out for the badly marked sewage holes that have been left raised in the parking lot ⚠️Dangerous for children and can also damage your car. Also, management will say everything is fine.
The dolphin show was awesome but they did start it with a fairly long video that lost the kids attention. Some of the presenters were hard to hear but the show itself was really fun.
Best to get here early as, even if you don't want sunbeds or cabanas, you will struggle to even get a grass space for your towel if you get there too late. You can rent umbrellas if you don't want to bring one.
Food places get super busy between 12 and 2 (took us nearly an hour to get our order) but the burgers at the captains table were really good quality, even if it took forever to get them.
It would be easy to end up spending a lot here but you can bring a picnic so there's always that option.
Lockers are easy enough to rent for around €7. You don't have to queue up for the screens, you can just scan QR codes on the locker and then rent it that way. Just look for one with a green light, although sometimes it says they're booked as someone may be booking it on the screens.
Rides, slides and the wave pool were all good, clean and well maintained. We didn't go on everything so it's hard to know what all queues were like but we had about a 45 minute wait for the rapids ride.

I was a bit worried about all those stairs but it was a pretty relaxing and full of contemplation walk. The fountains have all interesting meanings. The church is beautiful, the view is great. There is a cafe and a kiosk and also a gift shop
We arrived at opening time. Booked the Safari and it went well. No wait time.

The kayak trip was fantastic, we saw 4 golden eagles (parents with two juveniles); Egyptian vultures; Griffon vultures; lots of black kites including one close to us that dived and caught a fish then ate it as we watched. Hundreds of Alpine and common my swifts. We also saw two very nosey mink swimming and climbing around the river bank; bad for the local fish and otters, but so cute to watch. And huge carp in the river.
River landscape was lovely and we saw no one but our very small group.
Pedro was a great tour guide, sharing lots of info and spotting birds we wouldn’t have noticed.

Fantastic day out, cheap enough with everything included. Shows, pools, rides, aquarium and beautifully maintained grounds. Spacious and had no trouble finding a spot to set up base. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Shows were great. Overall excellent park, also for an additional 10€ you can return back the next day. Plenty of parking and queues were minimal.
One of best places in Portugal in my opinion, at day time there are lot of nice little shops and castle around. We stayed in hotel inside castle and place is really cozy one.

Beautiful church at the top of a hill! We took the stairs up, and there were many places to stop and rest along the way. The chapels on the way up before you get to the base of the famous stairs were also nice. They have a large patio at the top where you can buy drinks, snacks, and ice cream.
A very nice place to spend your whole day. View of the city from the top is wonderful. If you visit Braga, should not miss this place. Easily reachable by public transport (Bus no. 2) from the city center of Braga. I guess, visit during early spring would be great!!!

Had a great experience on our dolphin watch. Saw many dolpins..... beautiful clean boat ride, you could roam around to watch dolphins. Would highly recomend this tour. The staff was awesome and knowledgeable.

This place is perfect for families and young kids but less so for couples as the facilities and the attractions are aimed towards a younger audience.
My wife (33f) and I (34f) spent a couple of hours here taking in some of the shows and walking through some of the attractions including butterfly and bird sanctuaries and underwater aquariums.
There were several water slides and attractions so I recommend take a bathing suit and change of clothes and there are lots of areas setup to picnic if you want to save money by taking food with you ✌🏼

Took bus no 2 from the railway station to get to the funicular. Took the funicular up to the church.
The church was very beautiful. The wooded area around was also nice to explore.

Great experience. The wall is unreal and it needs to be highlighted that it’s not for the faint of heart. No barricades at the wall, just straight down. If you don’t like heights, don’t do it.

What a change from my last visit (1995). Saw it as a kid and now as an adult. Absolutely loved the experience. The shows were great, the space is well organized and the staff was great too. Couldn't be happier with my experience.
We had a great experience with the kids in the park. The line for the restaurant wasn't long but it took them a while to serve the food, which was a bit like overpriced canteen food. I expected better honestly.

Excelente opção para quem quer passar uma tarde bem passada seja em família, evento de empresa, etc. O ano passado fizemos um evento empresarial com a Dolphin Bay e superou MUITO a expectativa de todos. A observação de golfinhos foi fantástica, toda a equipa super prestável e simpática, as instalações, tudo!! Foi sem duvida, ESPETACULAR! Tanto que foi, que este ano toda a gente voltou a pedir o evento no mesmo sitio e lá estaremos para a semana novamente! Vai ser um dia fantástico com toda a certeza. Recomendo!
Lovely structure on the mountain, I had the chance to give it a visit during my tour for a brief period. It was a beautiful church and a lot of stairways to climb in such a short period... if anyone wants to get a true exploration of the place, I'd suggest spending a few hours at the place... otherwise, you just get to see and touch point of each item instead of making memory at the place
Beautiful place where it feels like you’ve gone back into another time. To be able to stay in an actual castle is just unbelievable. Hotel itself is well presented and staff are very professional and helpful. The restaurant is nice with some beautiful views, I’d recommend booking ahead. One thing to note is that the markup on the wine menu is ridiculously high

There's plenty to do here from rides, water slides and shows. The highlight was the dolphin show where I was so drawn into it I completely forgot to take any pics. The other shows were great also but there's a trade off where if you want to see the shows you may miss out on rides if you're only there for a day. It's down to how you plan and weigh up the day but worth going and experiencing the park.

Wow! Absolute superb. Such a great experience. Dolphin show is a must. Water park is fantastic and very little queues. We got on most things very quick! Reasonable food costs. Definitely recommend going absolutely amazing for children. Lots of staff and lifeguards keep a close eye on children. Lockers available and close to

The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte in Braga, Portugal, is a beautiful and peaceful place. The baroque stairway is stunning, with sculptures and fountains leading up to the church. The views from the top are amazing. It’s a perfect spot for both spiritual reflection and enjoying Portugal’s history and scenery.
They sell tickets online but still you have to wait in line on site to pick up your ticket and schedule your time slot. We arrived at 10am . At 11:30 we got our tickets (kids tired of waiting, crying,…) saying that the safari would start at 15hs!!! This is ridiculous! The waiting time to enter the park and the whole logistics resulted in a very bad beginning of the experience. However, at the end of the day everyone was happy! There are lots of playgrounds and activities to do for the kids. So time passed by rather fast.
What an amazing trip! Beautiful coastline, lovely boat, and most importantly-we saw the dolphins! Would highly recommend. Easy to find, spacious seating areas, clean toilets-everything we needed for a family boat trip! The dolphins swimming in the clear waters was beautiful and the knowledge the staff shared was brilliant. Thank you so much!
This place is amazing, is a bit off the road but was a really good day spent there and we got to see the giraffe 🦒 and the lemurs.

Interessante Ruinen zu besuchen, wenn man in der Nähe ist. Die Ruinen sind nicht zu groß und man kann alles in etwa 30 Minuten besichtigen.
Die Ruinen sind mehr oder weniger gut erhalten und man kann sich dort gut vorstellen, wie ein Bauernhof damals ausgesehen hat. Einige Mosaiken sind sehr gut erhalten.
Minuspunkte gibt es für die Schilder, die entweder nur auf Portugiesisch sind oder deren englischer Teil ausgebleicht ist.
Der Eintritt kostet 2 € pro Person (05/2024).

What a beautiful medieval castle town in Portugal. A not to be missed stop if you are travelling between Porto and Lisbon. This town is so picturesque and well preserved. We spent a lovely day here walking the castle walls and having lunch. The cherry liqueur served in small chocolate cups is a must also.
Well worth the trip, the views from along the walkway are great. No railing on the walkway, it is still fairly easy to pass people. Free parking, free entry, and lots of little shops showcasing many different things. Lots of places to climb stairs and get an even better view. Had the pleasure of watching an opera singer strut her stuff at the entrance. Amazing. Part of the wall walk was closed due to a gaming event. Several different churches are inside the walls, they all had very interesting decorations inside and all were free to view. We visited on a Friday and it was not super busy.
Love this castle town, free entrance and lots of parking space. Walking around the castle wall was a great experience as you can view the surrounding town inside the castle and beautiful view toward the outside. Is a bit high ground and you need to be cautions on your steps and the wall has no barrier on one side.

The tour was amazing! Within a couple of minutes we saw dolphins. The guides were all super friendly and spoke Portuguese and English. They explained everything and answered questions. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it.

After a one-hour drive to the park, acquiring tickets on a weekend morning was a breeze, with a quick and efficient process. However, upon reflection after our visit, I found myself deeply disappointed, a sentiment echoed by family members who had visited the park on multiple occasions prior. Regrettably, it seems that the park has undergone a decline from its previous standards.
One glaring issue was the noticeable decrease in animal populations compared to previous visits. The once-thriving array of wildlife seemed notably diminished. Additionally, the reptile and bird shows fell far short of expectations, lacking the engaging and informative experiences we had hoped for. Even the primate section, usually a highlight of such parks, was disappointingly sparse, with only a few baboons to be seen.
It’s never my intention to offer a negative review, but I believe in fairness and honesty when sharing my experiences with readers, followers, and the establishment owners alike. While I had hoped for an enriching and memorable visit to Badoca Safari Park, it unfortunately fell short of expectations.

This place is amazing, a little bit of everything in one location. 37€ for an adult entry fee and €27 for a child above 100 cm. The dolphins 🐬 are the highlight, the wave pool is lovely and mild. You have to pay for any deckchairs but plenty of grassed area to relax and have a picnic. The rides are great and they have shows in various areas of the park. Butterflies 🦋 to see, bird 🐦 shows, seal and sea lion show. Plenty of areas to eat from and sit. The kids play area is fun and a couple of big pool to play and swim. Pools were great at a good temperature 🌡. Full fun day out for all the family. Highly recommended 👌
Altes römisches Landgut mit einer Ölpreise und einem Raum zur Weinproduktion. Desweiteren besitzt das Landgut einen Tempel und eine große angelegte Badetherme, die mit vielfältigen Mosaiken verziert ist.
SEHR unhöflicher Empfang - schließt um 17 Uhr und um 16:30 kommt man schon nicht mehr rein und das äußerst unhöflich. Wir hatten versprochen um 17 Uhr pünktlich draussen zu sein aber keine Chance gegen diesen schlecht gelaunten Büffel.
Es una gozada ir en kayak o tabla de paddle surf por el entorno de los Arribes. Pedro es súper amable y da explicaciones muy buenas, gran conocedor de la zona. Muy recomendable hacer un tour con él!
Nous avons été émerveillés par les sites que Pedro nous a fait découvrir en kayak. Pedro est disponible et n’hésite pas à expliquer chaque faune ou flore croisée lors du périple. Nous recommandons très grandement aussi la randonnée d’observation des oiseaux. A ne pas louper à Miranda do Douro !

Auch wenn man sich zeit lässt ist man hier in unter eine Stunde durch. Hinweise nur auf Englisch oder Portugiesisch. Auf dem Außengelände sind zu wenig Hinweistafeln, oder teilweise verblichen. Man fühlt sich ein wenig hilflos. Der Eingangsbereich ist modern, sehr klein und weißt ein paar mehrsprachige Tafeln auf. Wenige Parkplätze auf dem Gelände. Ansonsten ist parken auf der Straße möglich.
Ich habe dutzende Ruinen von römischen Villen gesehen aber noch nie so viel antiken Substanz an einem Ort, abgesehen von der Villa Romana del Casale auf Sizilien, die in jeder Hinsicht eine Ausnahme ist. Es ist nicht die beste Bauqualität aber ziemlich gute und oft recht aufwendige. Viele Flächen sind mit Mosaiken ausgelegt, oft sogar Wände. Man kann gut Entwicklung der Bautechniken sehen. Sehr sehenswert.
